Has anyone here ever tried a theremin? I really want one, but brand new ones are pretty expensive, so I'm thinking of building one. Anyone here ever built a theremin before?

Weellllll, if it isn't the leader of the weiner patrol, boning up on his nerd lessons.
It's a pretty cool instrument though
>Anyone here ever built a theremin
No, but I had a rat some years ago, if that helps.
It's not hard. The best place for cheap parts was radio shack. But I'm willing to help if your serious
yes, I tried theremin.
man, it was better than a mix of LSD and MDMA.
I'm not really sure it does, did it make any theremins? Did you teach it any tricks?

Because I had no idea what it was until I saw it being used, then I remembered I saw it on TV but never knew what it was called. Neat thread.
You've made one? I've seen a couple of schematics, I have tons of resistors and shit already, but I'm not sure whether it'd be easier to make the oscillators myself or just buy them. Was your build expensive?
All three sounds like a pretty good combo to me
you can defo do some cool stuff with them
I kinda hated that, to be honest.
I'm torn between actually analyzing it from a musical standpoint and finding out why I hate it, but my hate is SO fucking strong for that mask I never want to hear him sing again.
anyways, backup vocals and the theremin were at least consistent in feel throughout the song
like really, though
the fuck is up with that mask?
it's like a musical car crash
I don't want to give their video views but I want to know why I hated it and I can't do that without hearing more of it.
Life sucks.
have some decent boobs for your efforts at least
Not only that, but the "galactic perimeter" would constantly be changing in position every time a new object is trapped by gravity.
Fuck.
I hope he wears that mask because someone threw acid in his face. This thread is no longer neat. I'm fucking irrationally mad, now.
Lel, it's not a real band though. It's from a movie called Frank. He never takes the mask off, it's a pretty nice movie actually
good for horror movies too

oh jesus; thank god for that
You can use 3 AM radios to make a tryout teremin, Google it.
If you get a theremin, get the Moog theremini. It comes with autotune and tons of channels, so you don't actually have to be any good to make some cool sounds.
No
