I've said this time and again. Different races in ST embody different traits of the jew. Bajorans are the spiritual "mu shoah" jews. Ferengi are greedy businessman jews. Vulcans are the intellectual jew (the vulcan salute is actually a rabbinic greeting. Nimoy himself came up with it. Nimoy was a jew.)

I remember watching the first ep of DS9 I always thought the bajorans were shit and the Cardassians were awesome. The Cardassian characters were in general far more interesting.
