Morning everone. I'm getting a new PC as a present for myself this year.
Was looking at Newegg and can't decide what to get. Priced from 800 up to 1300. Should i get a bundled parts? A prebuilt made on that site? The specs seem very good but i suck at comparing this shite. Can i get some suggestions please? I wanna game at high settings without hicups, maybe get a vr ready one. Help.

If you trust yourself to do it right you should build it yourself.
Otherwise go for a prebuild.
It'll cost more but atleast you know it was built right.
I barely know the difference between components. Can i trust the prebuilts on Newegg? I mean i could always upgrade what's inside or change it if it's not bueno,right?
If you don't know what you're doing. You may struggle.
Good thing about prebuilds is all the parts are in place so you can just switch them.
Trial and error is key but if you're too autistic you shouldn't bother.

There are A LOT of tutorials and help online if you're unsure how to get started on building. You can cut corners on your build to get it lower too.
Honestly, if i wanted to research, i would research. Can you just tell me what i need to buy? Certainly making this more difficult than it needs to be.

I know. I'm trying to learn; but i refuse to cut corners here. I don't necessarily wanna drop 2k on a tower. But I'm willing to pay the price for a decent PC that i could use for at least 8 months before needing an upgrade

1st you need to decide what CPU you want?

AMD for processing power.
Once you've picked your CPU you can the pick a matching mobo.
Next you need to cool your cpu, most coolers fit both intel and AMD.
Last off you need some RAM.
I recomend 2 sticks of 8GB.
You'll also need a HD.
With the money you plan to spend you should easily afford 1TB.
Get an amd Ryzen 5 (find one with overclo"king and threadripper) and a gtx 1070 go for 16 gb ram and a good 500gb ssd and a 1tb hard drive.
