Look up the actual definition of "hate speech." Again, it pretty much only includes incitements to violence. Canada's courts have been much more conservative in construing hate speech than you are implying.
But that's not really surprising, it's not even your fault, because human rights law in Canada is kind of convoluted.
Something to consider: domestic human rights codes across Canada have protected trans speech for a long time, and most provinces already contain the provisions that Canada is implementing federally. There's a reason you haven't noticed it.

It means that any man claiming to be trans can now apply for affirmative action/subsidies/rights that were installed for women.
Men also usually don't complain about trannies, it's women who will suffer the most because of this law. Now if a man enters a ladies room, the complaining women will be arrested.
