There is already a wall between California and Mexico. It was built by Democrats. It was so successful that Arizona noticed an uptick in migrants crossing their southern border. So they've started funding their own fence, this time planed and passed by Republicans. In 2010, a poll revealed that more than 65% of Americans support a wall along the Mexican Border. That's bipartisan support.
What exactly is so controversial about Trump's wall, again?
The world wasn't quite as insane in 2006 as it is today

>What exactly is so controversial about Trump's wall, again? nothing but it is a pretty dumb idea, most mexican immigrants cross the border legally as tourists, they just never leave when they are supposed to. Building a fence would do nothing to stop immigration specially now that there are more mexicans leaving the US than moving there.
Wyatt Murphy
Some parts there is literally no wall. And if they get caught they just send the mexifats back with no consequence. I say they should be shot.
Cooper Gonzalez
A wall will do more than curb illegal immigration. Building a wall ends the drug war instantly. It starves the drug cartels for money as they wither and die. Mexico will get sovereignty back from criminals and the US will be safer for it.
William Young
No one is being paid to shill for Hillary. It's a Republican-funded lie and a pathetic attempt to smear her campaign.
Henry Wood
Should it be legal to shoot and kill anyone crossing the border?
see , also pic related, cartels don't drive through the border to deliver the drugs, they make tunnels or do some crazy shit like driving over the walls or even making catapults.
Also the reason why the situation is so shit in Mexico right now is because our government decided to listen to yours, decided to attack the cartels, killed their leaders who were later replaced by bigger cunts. The only way to stop this shit is legalizing drugs.
Christian Torres
>What exactly is so controversial about Trump's wall, again? Because he said he wanted to keep illegals out aloud. If he had it as an action rather than announcing it, no one would care. But since he's running for POTUS and winning delegates, it's something to use against him as some un-PC monster who is keeping "families and refugees" out while at the same time, critics will ignore the high amount of actual violent criminals and drug runners sneaking in.
Also, ever notice how liberals always complain about how if a Republican wins, they're moving to Canada? Why not Mexico since they seem to be so upset the Mexicans are being kept out. They used to say this even before Trudeau became PM. It's really goes to show how hypocritical they are.
Leo Adams
That would be a major mistake indio
Liam Bennett
so if a measure densest stop 100% of drug trade, its a bad idea? Think about what you are saying, dummy. I'm not claiming that the wall will stop everyone. But it will stop 99% of criminal border activity. And the small amount that makes it though can be handled easily. Tunnels, for example can be detected easily by seismographs. Even "Mexican tunnel cartels" form, the price of drugs will skyrocket, making the more safe and sane local drug producers will undercut the tunnel cartels, putting them out of business.
Nicholas Gonzalez

>65% of Americans support a wall along the Mexican Border
So, all of America's white population?
Anthony Powell
>so if a measure densest stop 100% of drug trade, its a bad idea? No, but the wall would stop pretty much 0%, that's why it's a fucking dumb idea, the cartels always find new ways to smuggle the drugs. The only way to stopping them is to legalize drugs and allow big companies to profit from it instead of some indios from Michoacan and Tamaulipas, if you take away their main business they wouldn't be able to recruit for more members or get more weaponry making it way easier to take them down.
Dominic Reyes
I'm not too worried about Mexican Drug Catapult squads, lad.
Legalizing drugs ends the drug war. You build a wall when you're at war, not to end it.

The wall would be worth it alone if it puts a dent in the human trade market imo. Im suprised how much liberals are against the wall but at the same time make more and more demands for protecting woman. I dont think it will do much about illegals though. Its easy enough to get a vacation visa and just go off the grid from there.
Cooper Parker
ayy lmao anti-fascist protective rampart not to keep Mexicans in, but to keep filthy amerikanskis out
Luke James
>What exactly is so controversial about Trump's wall, again?
The fact that Trump doesn't realize that the wall already exists.
A physical wall already exists in urban border areas.
And in rural border areas, they use a virtual wall that's monitored by air and ground patrols, assisted by a network of sensors.
Years ago, the INS realized that a full-length physical wall would cost billions of dollars more than a virtual wall. And, of course, a physical wall is always vulnerable to someone with $100 dollars worth of dynamite -- therefore, air and ground border patrols are necessary, regardless.
And since 2007, the number of Mexican immigrants who enter into the USA illegally has been decreasing every year. So the INS's "virtual wall" technology is actually working extremely well.
The INS is an organization of professionals who have decades of experience with protecting the border. Trump insults and denigrates the professionals of the INS when he falsely implies that the USA/Mexico border is insecure.
Trump is not stupid -- he knows full well that he's lying about the wall and the fact that it has been a resounding success. His lying is just a cynical strategy to con voters.
Camden James
>the wall we have right now works just fine! good try shillary
>And since 2007, the number of Mexican immigrants who enter into the USA illegally has been decreasing every year. So the INS's "virtual wall" technology is actually working extremely well. thats because they're already over here and the system has reached equilibrium. the moment we kick them out those numbers shoot up again.

Nothing has changed Liberals have always been like this It's just become more obvious thanks to the internet
Border fences/walls are just the BEGINNING of proper border enforcement. Not the end
Levi Davis
The reason things are they way they are now and the reason why drump's wall is so stupid is because California is the only part of America worth protecting and Arizona is a giant toilet most Mexicans are more embarassed than eager to go to. Building a border wall that extends across Arizona is worse than a waste of money. We devalue our whole nation by saying "oh yeah this is part of us. We think this is omportant." No what we need is a border wall seperating Arizona from the rest of the United states.
Caleb Smith
We're more of a country just being a US territory than you'll ever be.

The American government hasn't really enforced its own laws against illegal immigrants in 40 years, or actually created laws to keep them from pouring in. Stuff like closing any government that hires illegals, or requiring IDs to buy stuff, traveling, or just regular transit. You know, things that almost every other country does. Yet Mexico is the biggest criminal enabler?
>5% tariffs Not sure if you understand how tariffs work. Mexico isn't losing 5% of their products. Americans are paying 5% more for the same stuff. That is still money from Americans going into the Wall.
>foreign aid According to your pic, aid to Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras adds to about 350 million. That means the wall would get fully paid around 2040. By then Mexico itself will probably have begun importing immigrants, due to having reached replacement birthrates last year.
Bentley Morris
I'll be 23 in two months, I haven't done drugs illegally since Thanksgiving, and I live on the second floor in my own room.
Also, Trump 2016.
Adam Lopez
>Not sure if you understand how tariffs work. I understand it better than you.
A 5% extra price tag on Mexican products would encourage Americans to buy cheaper local brands, or big multinationals to move some of the production back to America.
Mexico, which sends 90% of its exports to the US, is more dependent on America, than America is on Mexico. They will agree to pay for the wall as soon as the threat of tariffs is brandished.
Zachary Young
to make things more confusing, HRC voted for the wall.
Daniel Adams
>make Mexico pay for it
1. It's our wall, it's not that much but we have to pay.
2. Raising tariffs raises prices on goods from Mexico, lord knows trump supporting the min wage hike will send jobs overseas or it will make goods too expensive
3. NAFTA
4. Beaners built tunnels.

Wyatt Sanders

Dylan Foster
You need tariffs much higher than 5% to make up for labor roughly 5 times cheaper, lose environmental laws and factories already built and working vs some daydream of Detroit somehow getting back on its feet and reopening its factories.
Moreover, as long as the tariff isn't prohibitive (say 50%) local brands are actually encouraged to increase their prices by a slightly lower amount. A 5% tariff means that local products can be sold by 4% more while remaining just as competitive. This shit was attempted by your own retarded dictatorship back in the day. Was your industry reborn under the wings of protectionism?
Finally, you need Legislative Power approval to introduce any tariff like that. Which means the globalist lobbies will exert the full power of their lobbies to stop them on their tracks.
