ISIS is only partly relevant. ISIS at least by my understanding is only really linked to western terror cells through information sharing and common ideology.
Even if we destroy ISIS in Syria and Iraq we will still have Islamists in our countries who will attack us. Destroying the organisation that is ISIS will not protect us. Our media plays up the links between known terrorists in western countries and ISIS to imply that the military defeat of ISIS in the middle-east will end the terrorist threat in our countries.
The terrorist threat will remain so long as we allow a militant and ideologically opposed subculture within our countries.
I however doubt that there is much coordination between the Islamists in our countries. That is why I suspect we will not see widescale attacks. Coordination requires communication, and communication offers opportunities for our intelligence services to identify threats.
From what I have seen here there is more than enough weaponry and potential terrorists in Europe to do a horrific level of damage. Coordination though I hope has been effectively controlled through monitoring communications.
It is pretty insane though that we have allowed things to get to this stage.

Charlie Hebdo, Draw Mohammed event, Chatanooga, French train attack, Russian plane, Paris, San Bernadino, Belgium, Egyptian plane ( most likely ) those are the bigger scale terror attacks since 2015 off the top of my head in the West. So just by pure numbers an estimate on an Islamic terror attacks by July in itself is reasonable, with Ramadan being a religious holiday it is a good chance that these Jihadists would have delayed their potential attacks just to be able to wait and do a bunch of attacks at once anyway.
