Losing it

Recc me something similar to:

-Taxi Driver
-I stand Alone
-Falling Down
-First Blood
-Straw Dogs

Are you asking for a film in the vain of losing your mind after war? It's kind of vague.

Watch Jacob's Ladder

Thanks for the recc

Well I'm looking for a film where the protagonist can't stand his life anymore and goes on a rampage.

Well, it doesn't need to end on violence, mostly about a character that doesn't like his life and tries to do something about it, but not the typical feel-good movies, something more realistic.

I feel there's a personal interest in this. I think Jacob's Ladder is a much more cathartic experience because the character goes on a rampage on himself. Inside himself. You're going to end up taking more from it.

but I already saw it.

it's one of my favorites..

Ah. I don't know then. It's technically not about losing it after the war, but how war makes men lose it, and in the end, what the fuck are we even fighting for.

Das Boot.

Jürgen Prochnow does a fantastic job of a man in charge of a Nazi U-Boat who goes in knowing, this is going to be shit, these new sailors know nothing of war. And ends up surprised when it's true, "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING! WHAT HAVE WE DONE!"

It's not really the same "rampage", but it is about losing it, in a tight enclosed paranoid space in war. I recommend the four hour plus cut. If you haven't already seen it.

It's not exactly word for word what you're asking, but I think you'll come out of it satisfied.

-Children of Men
-Dog Day Afternoon
-Scanners
-Erazerhead

thanks!
