What people don't realize about Mexico is the number of Guatemalan/Salvadoran/Honduran illegals who come from their countries, through Mexico, into Texas. Mexico is a lot tougher on its southern border than the US is on its, but still thousands of people manage to cross this massive country into ours unscathed?

The majority of illegals living in the southernmost parts of Texas are not Mexicans but people who used Mexico to get into the US illegally.

Mexico is purposefully flooding the United States with not only its own illegals but those from its neighbors to the south.

Mexico's economy won't collapse. But allowing the remittances and being able to bleed the lower class undesirables to the US takes a lot of pressure off the Mexican government that they would have to deal with. It's pressure that Mexican politicians don't want to deal with while dealing with internal disputes between the states and cartels.

Mexico won't vanish overnight. But they certainly won't be happy about losing a system that provides a lot of advantages for them. Why deal with beggars and thieves when you can just send them north?
