Name ONE movie that's worth the price of a premium theater ticket

Avatar (2009)

A porno movie with Anikka Albrite covering her body in oil and taking it up the ass

>a premium theater ticket

wat does this mean, premium

Fury Road

One that you enjoy.
Worth is subjective.

Interstellar in IMAX was worth every penny I paid for it. It was exhilarating and just fantastic. Memes aside, and whatever you think of the story, it looks spectacular on that massive screen and the sound was unforgettable.

Also, Voyage of Time on IMAX was kind of boring, but looked breathtaking and was worth the admission. And this is coming from someone who actually *really* hates Terrence Malik.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice 3D

I just buy new movies I want to see on blu-ray because a blu-ray is only a couple dollars more than a ticket now. It forces me to be more scrupulous with my money and I'm less miserable because of it.

High def, IMAX film re-release of Return of the King

>tfw all the movies are bundled in with a dvd so they can charge more
>tfw the case is always cheap and has large holes in it
>tfw its harder to find just the blu ray and the covers are all horrible
>tfw region lock

That film looked like cartoon garbage, kiddo

if you have to ask you can't afford it

>Voyage of Time on IMAX

How the FUCK did I miss this ahhh

It was super easy to miss, friendo. I think it played in, like, 11 theaters nationwide. The nearest one was five hours away from me in Florida and normally I wouldn't have been able to see it, but luckily we were only about 20 minutes from the theater when it came out. Like I said, it was pretty boring but gorgeous.

All of these were great in IMAX

This one though was an experience. I was lucky enough to watch a 70mm print of it at the IMAX at universal citywalk. I regret not going a second time. When Coop was falling through the teseract my stomach was up to my chest. It felt like I was falling too.

Yes - from the moment Coop detaches, falls into the black hold, ejects, and falls feet-first into the tesseract, it was probably the most engrossed in a film I've ever been.

Also, the wormhole scene was great. OH, and the "mountains/waves" scene.

Yeah - if anyone missed Interstellar in IMAX, it's a damn shame. Say what you want about Nolan, or the story, or the writing, or whatever - it was something that if you missed it... well, you just missed it.

Also, the Hans Zimmer Music thundering through the theater was incredible too.

Spider-Man 2002

If it's a loud theatre then Heat.

Grindhouse was unironically the last one

None. I just go to matinees since they're basically half price and you don't get people yelling over the movie since you're usually by yourself or maybe with 4 or 5 others.

Where do you live where people yell in a theater?

I remember like half the theater going like "holy shit" right after the black hole sequence too. I went 3 in the morning to catch that IMAX screening and not once did I feel like falling asleep. I'm hoping Nolan is going to do wonders with Dunkirk considering he shot most he's ever had on imax. Funny story, I heard the main reason why Snyder didn't get to shoot JL on imax was because Nolan was using every camera they had for Dunkirk. Damn shame since Snyder does wonders with that format too.

Oh, that is really interesting, about the IMAX cameras. I imagine I'll really like Dunkirk, but seeing as how it's supposed to be more realistic fare and not about something I love dearly (space porn), I doubt I'll like it as much as his previous film.

I'll still watch the shit out of it though.

What IMAX do you go to senpai? Mines replaced their film projector with a laser one. It's pretty good. I'll still prefer the film on though.

Hateful 8 in 70mm

Dark City (1997).

Magnificent.

I've seen it AMA?

shit was underwhelimg desu

should have added more outdoor scenes

or have camera angles where the whole cabin can be seen

Any city with niggers.

In all honesty I experience this more out in suburbs than anywhere else. Nobody has the necessary overt aggression to tell someone to shut the fuck up.

Being able to tell somebody to please shut the fuck up in a theater is like the critical essential skill every wannabe-man must develop.

Ok racist
