>he uses spotify
He uses spotify
i use grooveshark
yeh? you got a problem with that?
I-is it still alive?
I used to swipe music from there
Circa 2006-2007
You're fitting in
what do you use op?
>Not exclusively listening to music from youtube
plebs
>implying all the music i listen to can be found on youtube
you really do think i'm a pleb
>Implying any music that can't be found on youtube is worth listening to
how would you know? you can't have listened to it
checkmate poptimist fag
Apple music >
>he doesn't steal tapes from the studio where the album was recorded
>not using frostwire
>not using tidal
it's almost like you don't give a shit about music quality
>320kbps of 80% of music I listen to for free
Why would I not use it
>Implying there's anything on Spotify that's not on Youtube
>for free
Spotify isn't free.
t.can't afford spotify
>he doesn't use a cracked APK on his phone
>implying
>he can't afford spotify
>He doesnt pay double for tidal
>implying i use either
>He doesn't travel back in time to record his own Pre-big bang white noise album.
only plebs complain about spotify
it has the biggest and most complete archive in classical music.
>he pays to stream music
out of the loop here. I always liked Pandora better than Spotify because Pandora gave me better recommendations and also broke down specific elements of music that I could look into, but it's been a few years.
>classical music
>calls other people plebs
>he doesnt pay for music
there's no loop. this is the nature of the beast, contrarianism and constant shitting on other people's tastes and opinions.
>not getting a library card, taking out CDs, and then listening to them excessively for the allotted borrowing period
I knew Sup Forums was full of plebs, but I didn't realize it was this bad
I mean I'm out of the loop on the merits of Spotify and Pandora, unfamiliar with the changes they've made recently. Sure, people will bandwagon popular platforms, but I guess I was kind of hoping the people here would be able to give a more nuanced opinion and maybe talk about some details comparing the two services.
Pandora is primarily an internet radio service, with curated channels to fit your taste.
While spotify offers a service like this, it is primarly an on-demand and playlist based service, where you can play any song/album in their catalog any time you want, or listen to genre specific playlists that Spotify publishes out to all users
>not getting a PhD in order to gain access to the full archives of the library of congress so that you have a perfectly cultivated selection of music
heh, try again kid
Oh. Is Spotify more popular than Pandora? Personally I'd think Pandora would be more popular. I was always more interested in finding new music and Pandora was able to help pretty well with that. On-demand music streaming never really interested me since it's so easy to acquire music.
But maybe Spotify is more popular since people are too lazy to download music themselves.
>w-what d-do you use o-op?
>as if it would be worse than spotify.
>he doesn't make his own music and listen to it exclusively
>OP calls out a service
>OP doesn't offer a better alternative
Why is this difficult to understand?
there is no better service you're doomed to be a cuck
Better service is slsk or a private tracker you mong.
>he doesn't use torrents
Pandora recently added Pandora Premium which lets you search and choose individual songs/albums/etc. like Spotify.
There. Was that too much to ask, faggot?
>grooveshark
Oh fuck yeah, is it back?
>he uses deezer cause he thinks it is mainstream to use pandora or spotify
I think the music industry really, really hated Grooveshark.
>Josh Greenberg (April 17, 1987 – July 19, 2015) was one of the co-founders of music streaming service Grooveshark.
>Greenberg was found dead in his home in Gainesville, Florida on July 19, 2015. The Gainesville Police Department stated during the preliminary investigation that neither foul play nor suicide was suspected in his death, despite his dying from unknown reasons. The later autopsy failed to determine an actual cause of death.
If you stream music you don't have a valid opinion and you probably listen to Sup Forumscore or pitchforkcore
Patricians use tapes and CDs
yeah
>tapes
there is literally no reason to still use tapes unless you're trying to be a hipster
its not even hipster anymore theyre making a big comeback.
Grooveshark was GOAT
Sometimes local noise or field recording artists record to cassette tape instead of going through distributors to publish it to CD.
I've never really used YouTube but I assume you can find most music that doesn't get copyrighted. What are some good artist who don't have music on youtube?
I like to carry music with me without overloading my phone with 10 fucking gigs of my favorite music, how fucking poor or Jewish are you that you can't afford 10 dollars to listen to a selection of millions of tracks
Spotify is so modestly priced that they're actually losing money right now
Literally the only reason I got a Spotify account was because they have John Adams' Shaker Loops, performed by the San Fransico Symphony Orchestra, directed by Edo the Waart. All other versions are inferior.
>he uses Apple Music
How is Apple Music different than Spotify?
Apple Music has Joanna Newsom :^)
Jay Z :)
Some small bands out here in Washington record on and distribute tapes for that grungy sound
listening to Roger McGuinn - Thunderbyrd on Spotify right now, imokwiththis.jpeg
>cool ways to listen
bandcamp searches for abstract terms
>acceptable ways to listen
cassette tape, streaming listener supported radio stations
>not very cool ways to listen
soundcloud, vinyl
>please don't
paid streaming algorithms, youtube, compact disc
>dead tech dumbasses
minidisc, minicassette, reel to reel, 8 track
>autism
slsk, private trackers
FUCKING THIS
I have people telling "erhmahgerd how do you play any song you want" and to save me the time and effort of downloading an apk from the Internet I tell them I bought Spotify premium hahah
RED > Waffles > APL > SLSK > Youtube Apple > Spotify > Google Play > Tidal > Sirius XM > FM Radio > Pandora
Okay looking for a serious opinion here. I currently pay for Amazon Prime music streaming is it really worth keeping or is another premium service better?
The Spotify virgin manlet
The Youtube master race alpha
>HE CANT AFFORD 10 DOLLARS A MONTH TO STREAM ALL THE MUSIC HE WANTS
Spotify cracked apk
>Not filling your hard drive with the superior F L A C S
Sad
>Use Spotify for free
>Get ads
>More ads
>More ads
>Next song comes on
>It's an interlude
>More fucking ads
Fuck Spotify
>tfw you realise one day spotify will end and your seven year archive of music, 800 playlists and starred playlist of 6000 tracks will disappear forever
(among hipsters)
I use cracked apk spotify and a lot of pirating/ripping downloadd. works out pretty nice. spotify provides a wide range of music without the hassle of downloading, and provides pretty good platforms for discovering new music. its not that bad. even the free version is pretty sufficient, but cracked apk is definitely nice. sometimed streaming isn't an option so then I just have the downloaded music there.
i use soulseekqt
thanks honeybun
This is 100% me I've been having my Spotify arsenal of music for years. What's the best way to make sure to "save" everything?
All of my coworkers do this. My jams are on YouTube but I don't play the new Dum Surfer song by KK because they look at me weird. My sister works with me. We cook for upper class old people.
>he didnt download the ad-free hack
OOOOR you could pay 5 whole fucking dollars a month and get premium.
Five US dollarydoos just to listen to music...how does it feel to be so cucked?
lol
We still have the other co-founder
Apple music doesn't have Copeland's early albums but spotify does.
Though I doubt anyone really cares/knows who they are :/
