Favorite horror movie is Martyrs, it is one of my favorite of any genres, because of the second half. The first half is good, but not that exciting, the second half is for some reason one of the most emotionally affecting things I've ever watched. I don't really have a good reason for it but the scenes of the girl alone in the cell are maybe my favorite part of any movie, even though they are very depressing there is something beautiful about it

I could see it being a porn thing for some people/if you were in a certain mood, but I thought it was very emotional, a kind of convincing display of somebody completely losing hope. Obviously you have to try to empathize with the character or it won't work
