When I was in the army, I didn't even think about getting a tattoo until near the end of my deployment. I've seen and done some horrible things in my life so when I came back to the states I did a lot of volunteer work which prompted me to get two tattoos of the words "angel" and "devil" in chinese on my left and right wrists so that I can remind myself that I am capable of doing both good and bad things.

10 years from now I'll look at my wrists and still have profound thoughts of what went through my mind the day I decided to get these tattoos but the idiots who got them because they like tv shows/movies or music or videogames will only see an outdated, obsolete franchise.

I drew myself a logo a few years ago, and I ended up using it for a lot of my self-produced albums. I ended up getting a tattoo of the symbol because my dad urged me to be proud of something I love, even if it's not award-winning or life-changing for other people.

I've only had one long-term major job in my life (six years) but nobody cared (or at least nobody said they did) and in fact a lot of managers and co-workers would constantly compliment them (and in the case of higher up managers who had to wear suits on the job, would excitedly lift up their pants or shirts to show me their tattoos) or ask me for my tattoo artist

I've never figured out if it's my country that doesn't hate tattoos or it's just people on the Internet who hate them because I've never had problems and I feel like people with tattoos are just commonplace and though it's not where I live now, the place I had that job was one of the most conservative cities in my country I suspect

That said, I think the artistic writing does cut me some slack content-wise, I think very few people pay enough attention to what every tattoo says though I would sometimes get stopped by people who wanted to read something or people saying they wished they had time to read everything
