How old is Charles in this? I mean even in X-Men 3 he was pretty fucking old.
If you look at X-Men Origins Wolverine has been around since the 19th century, and hes barely changed since World War 2. Why is he aging and dying all the sudden? It couldn't have been within 20 years of the events in X-Men 3.
Charles has to be like 120 or some crazy shit. Is Wolverine injecting his blood into Charles?
Why is Wolverine suddenly not healing?
So many plot-holes from the get-go, this movie is going to blow balls.
If they did a Mister Sinister Easter Egg for Apocalypse, how is this Wolverine's last movie?
Sinister is not in this one so there has to be one after this correct?
Jacob Green
Did anyone else think of Metal Gear when that bit of the trailer flew by
Josiah Gonzalez
Maybe we should wait for the movie to explain or something.
Hunter Mitchell
>Why is Wolverine suddenly not healing?
i want to know this. are mutants losing their powers?
Luke Fisher
Just a little, yea. I'd be okay with a live action Metal Gear movie
Christian Parker
Hard to believe Fox somehow fucked up the X-men movie timeline worse and faster than the comics.
Luis Evans
Maybe its some gigantic bellcurve? Ages normally or almost normal'y up to ~20s where his physical peak starts, and stays physically between his 20s and 50s for a hundred or so years, then after that his aging process starts moving more normally. It seems much more effecient and logical than aging completely normally up until you hit 150, he'd be a great grandpa in First Class if that were the case.
Daniel Hernandez
It's established in like the first X-Man movie that Wolverine's healing factor slows down his aging, it doesn't prevent it.
Considering his mutation is linked to his genes, the older he gets, the weaker his abilities do.
Gavin Gonzalez
No, fox is kinda dumb, the sinister easter egg WAS for this movie. X-men 7 and new mutants are not currently on fox's slate.
Jack Morales
All the plot holes can be explained the in below
Order of time line: First class - wolverine1 - X1 - X2 - X3 - wolverine2
DAYS OF FUTURE PAST RESETS THE TIMELINE (meaning everything past first class can now be changed including preventing cyclops, professor and jean Greys death )
- apocalypse (takes place In the new timeline)
And finally LOGAN
Meaning any inconsistencies in the new Logan movie can be solved by saying "days of future past reset it".
Aiden Martinez
I would think Logan takes place in the old timeline or one that does not lead to DOFP, but is still shit and not the happy one. Since The Wolverine had an ending like that and nothing was explained between that and DOFP. Also, I'm really wondering how they're going to bring X-23 into the main movies if she's just a little girl in the shitty future.
Xavier Reyes
His body is also constantly having to heal to the adamantium in his body which reduces his healing factor even more. X23 who only has the metal claws heals much quicker but if they were both steamrollered or something wolverine would get up quicker if that makes any sense.
Jeremiah Lewis
In Old Man Logan he is brainwashed and kills a majority of his mutant friends, the guilt leads him to attempt to kill himself which leads to his powers dulling because he's so fucked in the head
Aiden Adams
>Sinister is not in this one
He is, according to Bryan Singer.
Isaiah Williams
I'm guessing Logan takes place in the reset timeline, it won't lead to the future we saw in DOFP becuse that was resolved in the reset.
We don't know anything that happened from apocalypse to Logan, all we can do is guess it's similar to the original timeline. The only thing we known is that cyclops, jean and professor don't die.
(Though they most likely will be by the time we arrive at Logan"
Anthony Ross
and this movie could be in... 2030 or something, even further forward for where the events of DOFP took place.
This movie does not look like it will get a happy ending like DOFP got.... Im scared...
Jacob Martin
weren't all his powers sucked out of him in the last movie?
Landon Walker
So if Logan "doesn't age" why didn't he stay a kid? He ages a bit until he looks like a grown man and then he stops aging? Fucking retarded capeshit
Brody Russell
Did he try to stab himself in the brain so many times, and yet still live?
Henry Garcia
Peak Physical condition or something. His grows to there but then he doesn't start the cycle of becoming shit and old. It's not that he ages slowly, it's that he's dying slowly.
Brayden Parker
Because aging isn't the same as growing you retard. Ever wondered why 80 year olds aren't 100 foot high? Well now you know.
Mason Ward
Chaz thread?
Levi Carter
>good ending of AoA was 2023 >Logan is set in 2024
Eli Baker
>James, why are we filming my scenes first?
Joseph Martinez
Did you stop watching before the last half hour or something?
Camden Thomas
yeah seems like he is really dying dumb fuck
Jordan James
Movie takes place in 2024
Charles was 12 years old when he found Mystique in his kitchen in 1944
So the guy's 92. Old as fuck but not an unheard of age.
Brayden Murphy
Forget Wolverine, I'm seeing this for Professor Xavier. I'd even watch this if the whole movie was just Patrick Steward giving kind, reassuring speeches about the inherent goodness of people. Xavier is the reason Wolverine is a hero at all. He brings out the best in everyone.
Which makes him the real hero.
Wyatt Martin
Logan rapidly ages because he loses his mutant powers to the guys in the black suits following him. They then put his regenerative powers in the little girl, Laura, and Logan has to protect her.
Jacob Gutierrez
His healing factor is burning out and so he's aging rapidly obviously.
Yoda was 700+ years old and went senile and into an incredibly weak old man in under 30 years
James Ward
Mutant powers don't kick in until puberty bro
Caleb Morales
>if the whole movie was just Patrick Steward giving kind, reassuring speeches about the inherent goodness of people.
To be fair anyone would go see that.
Zachary Jackson
>muh 1000 years old animu kid who's also a half-demon
Ethan White
Upvoted! TNG is based! :)
Dylan Ortiz
Burying Charles grave here
Anthony Hernandez
>Patrick Stewart giving kind, reassuring speeches about the inherent goodness of people
>tfw Patrick Stewart is actually telling you he's going to kill you
It's simple: because the X-gene manifests itself with puberty and then whatever the power is usually grows stronger with use. This is true for like 99% of all mutant characters.
Zachary Ortiz
Bringing up Yoda isn't really a good idea. It was even more retarded with him than Logan's healing factor fizzing out.
Parker Price
>that biceps It's almost as big as mine damn.
Michael Carter
Japanese dude sucked out his powers, yes? And we saw Logan have his regulars claws at the end. So how does he have metal claws again?
Aiden Thompson
That isn't what dulled his powers, it was that so many years had passed. He just got old.
Nolan Campbell
Why does he have hair again?
Gavin Fisher
who cares if the canon is fucked?
it could be the first decent wolverine movie
Lincoln Scott
>Plot holes >things that just haven't been expained in the first trailer Pick one
Chase Young
>76 fucking hell he looks good
Colton Thomas
>So many plot-holes Where did you see the movie?
retard
Ethan Collins
This film takes place in the DOFP timeline, where "the wolverine" didn't happen.
Luis James
I'm not a scientist but I'm pretty sure the body grows and then starts to break down and deteriorate after around 25, he aged until his body was suppose to break down and then it didn't because he heals. How are you this stupid?
William Foster
When it comes to Patrick Stewart we're in the great ending universe. There's a parallel dimension out there where Patrick Stewart is still wearing hairpieces like he did when he was young, or got really shitty hair implants, and where the constant shame makes him look like your typical 70-year-old slob.
Xavier Nguyen
Amazing observation my man.
David Wright
Well I don't know about that, he's what? Over 200 years old? So he stays the same for 200 years and then turns old in the space of 50?
Nathan Martin
That picture is pretty old, I remember seeing it years ago.
Green Room is a better point of reference and he does look good in that.
Jackson Bell
Fucking hell
Just google it
Op you are a fag
His healing factor is struggling, no longer produces "babysoft" skin hence the scars
This is the new timeline
Takes place further in the future than dofp
Xavier is about 85
Reavers work for sinister. We get first look of sinister in the next trailer
Parker Adams
I really hope this doesn't end up being an 'average movie with an amazing traller' like MoS did.
Jacob Murphy
The sad thing is, even with the continuity reset Apocalypse managed to fuck up by needlessly using characters like Angel and Jubilee, and by not adhering to their own cliffhanger of Mystique fishing Logan out of the lake.
Ian Hill
So what was the point of that shit?
Levi Campbell
yeah he's still looking good
Jordan Wood
>So many plot-holes from the get-go
literally kys
Wolverine's healing factor worsens as he ages. Professor X's low-level telekineses gives him unnaturally long life.
Done.
Fucking normies nd their fucking """plot-holes""", this is why I hate sharing genre fiction with mainstream cunts, reeeeeeeeeeee
I think the mutants being gone and Logan's healing deteriorating might be linked to a global event. This pic is from the viral marketing suggesting something has happened to all mutants, maybe an airborne virus or something?
Jeremiah Clark
He still gets blowjobs from a much younger woman as well, living the dream.
Hudson Barnes
Why does X have hair and a beard?
Dylan Jenkins
This is not true since DofP shows him in a way more disatnt future completely fine.
Camden Bennett
This.
Brandon Kelly
He stayed young for most of the time, then in the 80's he had a bunch of toxic metal fused with his skeleton and that started the downward motion of his healing power, causing him to actually start to age slowly. Plus he started getting into fights where his healing was taxed harder than usual, being blasted by punching beams and disintegrated etc.
Makes sense to me.
>mfw Liev Schrieber shows up looking young and healthy, taunting Logan
Leo Hall
see
Jace Reyes
If X-Men is set in 2000, Logan is only 33 years after.
Dominic Robinson
This makes no fucking sense. Why would they have aged so much in a year? Even with zero healing factor Logan wouldn't age so much in such a short time.
Logan Perry
>good ending of AoA was 2023 ?
Age of Apocalypse, the comic book? Or X-Men: Apocalypse, the movie? Did the Blu-ray have a different ending in extras?
Elijah Long
Liev isn't on the cast list, but I don't know if they ever hide that shit from IMDB.
Cooper Morales
well the entire X-men canon has been fucked until DOFP, every director was able to do whatever they wanted, which is why we got two emma frosts in completely different times with different ages, beast being one of the first X-men but not shown in the future until 3, Charles and Eric as old and still working together when they split in the sixties. They didn't have someone to steer the ship like kevin feige, I guess the wolverine people either didn't care or weren't told about DOFP.
Blake Nguyen
I think he meant DOFP movie
Lincoln Bailey
>So many plot-holes from the get-go You expect every plot thread to line up perfectly in a teaser trailer? GTFO.
Wyatt Taylor
The timeline of these movies is so stupid. I wish they wouldve just said it was a reboot instead.
Stupid shit like how the timeline being reset changed when angel was born and shit.
Cameron Adams
They've said logan is one year after DOFP happy ending so he goes from pic related to trailer in a year, I really think it's some outside influence like an airborne virus or something in the water.
Jason Rivera
Fucking this. They make it a point to show he loses his hair because of Apocalypse, not natural balding, and now he inexplicably has the hair of a man who's naturally gone bald?
Fuck this franchise and their utter disregard of continuity. Marvel makes countless films without a fuckup, yet Fox hasn't been able to make a single X-film since X3 that didn't fuck up their continuity somehow.
Brody Roberts
Thats just like all humans in real life.
The end of puberty is when our bodies start to break down.
In logans case, his healing factor can counteract his body breaking down.
Jeremiah Cook
X1 - 3 have no issues. Origins has some visual inconsistencies (for instance the adamantium facility is completely different from what we see in X2), but in terms of story it fits fine. First Class is where shit went off the rails, and it's been a complete mess ever since, even with the reset.
John Hill
Xavier probably does it by accident because his mind is fucked up and only Logan survives it because of his healing factor, but this also makes him forget how it happened.
The 'evil humans' also have Caliban who can detect any mutant in a 25km radius (how he survives the mutant purge who knows).
Either way this movie is gonna be some heavy shit, I wonder if it's gonna be too depressing for normies.
Gavin Hill
wolverine is still healing
its just slowing
Jackson Myers
when did they say it was one year after DOFP?
Easton Miller
Can't find the quote but heard multiple reports saying it's then.
Ryan Wood
I feel like they really should have reboot after DOFP. That ending felt so satisfying, but now they're gonna fuck it all up and kill everyone off. The only way I'd have wanted to see another film after DOFP is if we got a proper X4 with the complete original cast and justice was finally done to characters like Cyclops and Rogue.
Nicholas Cooper
all of the are clickbait theyve been ambigious with it
Juan Hernandez
>use time travel gimmick to bring everyone back to life/restore their powers to right the wrongs of X3 >immediately kill everyone but Wolverine off What the fuck are they doing?
Easton Gonzalez
He aged because of trauma and guilt, he accidentally killed all the X-men or something.
Adrian Johnson
Wasn't Origins set in sometime in the 70s? 1974 or so? There's that scene where "young" Xavier rescues the young mutants, including Scott, who is in his teens.
The Last Stand opens with "20 year earlier" scene where Xavier meets child Jean. Assuming that 20 years earlier is 1987.
No, wait. The "present time" of Origins is early 80s, as it's "6 years later" from 'Nam.
Still, Scott and Jean would thus have almost 10 year age difference.
Dylan Thomas
What if everyone's actually alive, and Charles is just subconsciously fucking with Logan's mind, due to his alzheimer's? Like, alzheimer's patients get confused and then scared, so maybe a top-tier psychic with alzheimer's would project that fear and change people's perception of the world.
>yfw the people Logan fights throughout the movie are actually the X-Men
I would unironically love the movie if they did this.
Logan Russell
>2016 movie
Sebastian Cooper
What about Deadpool?
Tyler Bell
...
Ryder Hernandez
>yfw the people Logan fights throughout the movie are actually the X-Men
Wasn't this a comic book? He killed the X-Men. Old Man Logan, actually.
Matthew Clark
Well probably in the new timeline in-between Apocalypse and Logan.
Camden Young
Professor meets Cyclops in Origins is early 80's. Professor meets Jean in X3 in 1985. It matches up well.
Brody Cooper
Its not like you can give a fuck abouts comics anyways, punisher killed all the marvel characters too, they just need to asspull something and everyone is alive and well again
Easton Morgan
Well, yeah. Except it's better. Because then at the end you get a "oh shit he's been killing good guys all along!" reveal, rather than how it was in the comic. It also solves the problem of adapting the comic without all of the non-mutant villains around, AND it would make for a tearjerker of an end for Charles, when he finally realises what's been happening and Logan has to snikt the bub.
Hunter Stewart
I just mean it had been done before.
Isaac Myers
>story is an obvious alternate take with no connection to any other story >they just need to asspull something
U wot?
Thomas Stewart
probably a half-assed Legacy Virus since Sinister is involved in the movie. That could be what wiped out the mutants or it could just ben the Sentinels from DoFP who even knows?
