If you can't be trusted to carry a gun without going around shooting people then you don't belong in a civilized society. It's that simple. It's a sad thought but the reality is that you can't have any freedom in a country where civilized and uncivilized people live together and are treated like equals.
Think about it. The implementation of policies that promotes freedom will have the effect of driving out the unwanted. In other words, the process of paving a safe road towards gun rights will force us to first send all the uncivilized people in to ghettos where they can shoot each other, while the rest of the country enjoys their safety, justice and freedom in peace.
Here are some other reasons why we need gun rights: >There are no laws in Sweden and those few laws that we do have are laws that no one upholds. Child rapes and murders are covered up by the government. If you're really unlucky you might get a few hundred hours of community service for a gruesome child rape but that's it. >Women can't go out when it's dark outside without getting raped by a pack of migrants. This is not a meme. They can't even be outside even if they have company to protect them, because the migrants hunt in packs of 6-15 people and they beat the shit out of anyone who stands in their way. If you take the bus or subway in any big city in Sweden at night you'll see that there are always migrants in every single carriage. They're not going anywhere, they just sit there for hours all night long every single night, just sitting there waiting for a helpless little girl to step out and then they follow her home and rape her. This happens every single night in Sweden.

I think it's really odd that we don't to be honest.
Such a small country that Sweden is it should have been encouraged for citizens to own weapons, to hone your skills in case of emergency and better aid the professional army.
Sadly we are too used to being neutral and nothing major has happened towards us, so in general people don't see a reason to own a weapon. Although I suspect the opinion has changed slightly since the 'refugee' crisis.
