We're going to have a vote and generate a list of Sup Forums's judgement on who the 15 best footballers in the world are.
Here's how it will work. Each person will post in this thread to give us their top 20 active players in the world and rank them in order of preference. A number 1 choice will count 20 points, 2 will count 19 and so on. Once this thread has reached its end we will take everyones lists and tally up the votes to produce the final results

unfortunately everyone looks like shit compared to Messi, i tried to make a top 10 but even after the second and third they are all so below Messi it's making me depressed what this sport will be like without him
Aaron Murphy
it will be great. messi is to good to be true. he should started declining years ago. now its just boring

No it fucking wont. No one so far has come close to him as a player. Its honestly sad that we are past his peak.
Nolan Turner
Who cares
Sebastian Campbell
lol no we didnt. this is one of the worse seasons of the team and messi still looks godlike. luis henrique somehow managed to make martino's season look good. barca only need to straight up their squad and messi will have another three or more yeas at his peak.
I hope i'm wrong tho. Messi's dynasty is already boring as fucking.
Owen Edwards
>no ronaldo
Easton Flores
It's boring because no one else has come close to him other than tsuu, and thats only in fucking goals.
Chase Cox
The mere fact that everything is about goals now is their worst legacy by far. And is boring because Missi is so fucking good but so fucking autist. If only we had seem this mad man version of him early..
Austin Smith
But that's exactly what sets Messi miles apart from Cristiano... he could score half the goals than CR, and still be twice the player. Messi's genius is about the beauty, passing, vision, dribbling, explosive acceleration, precision, playmaking AND scoring. You strip the goals away from Cristiano and you're left with almost nothing but a dead weight for any team.
Grayson Jenkins
you realize that messi has less assists than Ronaldo this season, don't you?
you are clueless and deluded
Leo Rodriguez
1. Le cut inside man
Elijah Bailey
Messi has 8 assists and Ronaldo has 6
Sebastian Gonzalez
I didn't said anything about Messi's abilities tho, not even compared him with CR7. Its just that no one ever cared about numbers of goals like that ever before. And its boring asf. No one cares about anything else, it's just number of goals number of goals number of goals. I hope that this habit fades away eventually, since CR7 numbers is not all that anymore.
And about Messi: he's too fucking robotic. Most great players feels the pitch, the game, the ball, the crowd, everything. They know when they do something out of this world, and they communicate it. They makes you enjoy the game, enjoy football, enjoy even life.
But not Messi. He's just an autistic kid doing unbelievable things like he didn't even cared about it.
But anyway, mad men Messi is the best Messi.
Hunter Stewart
nice cherry picking.
i think you'll find ronaldo has 11 for the season and messi 10 in all competitions
Ian Johnson
Messi I know has 8 in the league, 2 in CL and 2 in CDR and 2 in WC qualifiers which is 14, he also had 4 in the Copa America 2016
Christian Watson
BTFO
Aiden Garcia
Also Ronaldo has 13 in all comps
Nathan Bell
Yeah, I was just making the case that, with Messi, it's not about goals as his only legacy, unlike CR. As for the robotic thing, I don't agree but I respect your opinion... In the end is about what they transmit to you I guess.
Kek. Talk about clueless... Assists mean shit when you're on the receiving end of every attack of the most powerfull teams in the world. Most of the time it only means you're very frecuently left in a privileged position to either score or serve the goal to another teammate. Why do you think Suarez is the top assister? Because of his playmaking genius?
Oliver Scott
>counting internationals
again, nice cherry picking
Dominic Barnes
Cmon, are you telling me that you didnt had goose bumps with that awesome celebration against Colombia?
Aiden Evans
What do you mean? You said all competitions and so that's what I listed. This also includes Ronaldo's assists from the Euros and qualifiers
This one? Well, yeah I'm afraid I don't get it... you're saying it was robotic? Or that Messi has, indeed, a goalscoring legacy? Because I never claimed otherwise, I just said that it was far from being his only legacy.
O-ouch, SICK BURN
Isaac Rivera
I'm saying this is non-robotic, exactly what you expect from a such huge player. Unfortanely, you can count with both hands goals/celebrations like that. Usually, he's just a cold player.
But then again, this is just a detail that sucks for me, but has nothing to do with Messi's grandeur.
Josiah Murphy
fpbp
Alexander Scott
why would you take that so literally? in all competitions means league + cup + europe, and always has.
and assist statistics aren't available for UEFA world cup qualifying, so your totals are inaccurate
>But that's exactly what sets Messi miles apart from Cristiano... he could score half the goals than CR, and still be twice the player.
so much truth to this
Camden Turner

Another kid who wants entertainers not athletes. Like Dana White spending years trying to convince GSP to be more entertaining. "My job is to win fights, Dana. I respect you but if I wanted to be an actor, I would be an actor. I'm not an actor, I'm an athlete. My job is to win, your job is to provide entertainment."
How retarded you have to be to even argue that Ronaldo was individually better last year? Is he gonna be POTY this year as well if they win La Liga after Messi outscored him and out assisted him by double? (not even talking about dribbling and chance creation)
Ronaldo isn't even top 5 You idiots just place madness you recognise It's like I'm in some spic gyppo kebab forum
Luis Thompson
Similar like Neymar Player who likes to do tricks, but no obvious contribution if the rest of the team suck like brazillian team. No where he is in the top 3
Exactly, this place must be full of kids or actual retards who don't really watch and just fap over "personalities".
James Morales
>Of the 2016-17 season: >3.Ronaldo
Please tell me you're not serious. His overall play has been wank, and in the only thing he's good at, scoring goals, he's behind about 10 other players
James Baker
