Canada BTFO

This is the average price of stuff in Canada. We have had to resort to rations now it's gotten so bad. I hope my post can make it past the censor

Average price of pop in Canada

Ever since Trudeau took over we've been heading the way of Zimbabwe. Help us

is this one of those weird ice compound communes that is unreachable for 10 months out of the year

>drinking the sugar jew

No wonder why you are digustingly obese

You "auctoin" soda off on an iPhone app in Cucklandia? wew lad wew

26 fucking dollars

>Vote in liberal
>He has no idea what he's doing
>Tanks economy and makes dozens of shitty choices
>Effectively ruins an entire country in less than a year
>So bad Canadians have to come to the US to buy groceries
>Everyone just blames everything on conservatives
>He has a 60%+ approval rating

Should I start exporting soft drinks to Canada?

Don't know where you're shopping Bud, I never pay more than seven to eight dollars for a brick of cheese that size, brand names too not just the no-name stuff.

...

you forgot to mention the tax hikes and SJW laws that forbid you from saying anything not nice

But at least your health care is """"""free!"""""""

BUT AT LEAST YOU HAVE YOUR WEED RIGHT?

Wheres the Listerine?

That's the worse fucking part. Trudeau is a massive cockstain who literally can't do anything right when he tries to PM, and he only does that when he's dead out of photo ops or chances to lick feminist boots. Yet all everyone does is inhale his dick all day while the country burns around him like a modern day Nero Germanicus. The only saving grace is that all he does is look for chances to pander, if he was doing his job the whole time we'd really be in the shit.

we have so called "free" healthcare and coke is still for 0,5 dollars. makes u think

What the hell is this? Is this a joke or something?

Bullshit! it's because everything has to be flown in, Nunavut = almost no road access.
I bet you a can of Coke in Antarctica cost's more.

Still illegal.

You also earn half a dollar hourly so that kinda evens it out.

>uneducated southerners and easterners don't know stuff in the territories is expensive

haha we esatern euros are so poor we suck dicks for living of westerners right? want your dick sucked? i am cute petite boy

How much is beer in Nunavut? Oh wait natives aren't allowed to buy it ha ha ha ha
HA HA

You can still buy it but its around 500 dollars for a 500 ml bottle.

Okay, I'm genuinely curious, why is everything so damn expensive in Canada?

I remember growing up and getting comic books and it'd say like

$3.00 American
$6.00 Canadian

now it doesnt seem like its even close, I mean, a bottle of soda like that is 1.25 AT MOST. Some places you can get a bottle of sprite for 1 dollar

Live stupid places, pay stupid prices.

This fucking meme has to end. All of those prices are from Nunavut, a god forsaken hellscape of tundra with towns only accesible by airplane. The only reasons people still live there are to 'preserve' Inuit culture and to fund tourism. Its capital city has a population of 2000 people. Those prices are a reflection of supply and demand. The only price that is truly super inflated for all of Canada is fuel, where diesel is still almost $4.00/gallon. Those bastards in Iqualuit might be paying closer to 8.

Dollar is generally stronger than the CAD$, and there is lower population density in Canada, meaning a higher transport cost to achieve product saturation. In order to turn a profit with both factors into consideration, prices must be higher.

Your comic book example is because the canadian dollar used to be even shittier than it is now

As to why these sodas cost a bunch, they have to be trucked across the fuckin tundra

>Okay, I'm genuinely curious, why is everything so damn expensive in Canada?

This is why. It was even worse 6 months ago.

Umm, I'm pretty sure this kind of thing is normal if you live in a place like Nunavut. The cost of bringing consumer goods to the middle of popsiclefuck nowhere drives retail price up and supply down.

I hate Trudeau too, but use your brain.

The people of arctic bay can afford it, I mean look at the village. They all must be pretty rich to afford coastal property with a mountain view included.

Damn I need to look into exporting to Nunavut .

Fucking hell, and I thought the 2 dollar muffin at the gas station was pricey.

Pfffft hahahahaha.

How do you live there and not kill yourself. If I were born there, I'd do everything to get the fuck out and move somewhere more urban, like Montana

Yeah but its highly illegal and can get you a long prison sentence as suicide rates and murder rates are high as there is a lot of alcohol abuse

Just like Obama promised us legal weed :^)

everything is expensive when you have no gold

>used to be shittier
Trudeau sold off all of Canada's gold. The same gold that backs their currency.

Houses are too close together for my taste.

That looks really lovely.

These are just prices for YK, NWT, NVT

When you love hundreds of miles from civilization you shouldn't expect to get novelty goods for low prices...

I've been looking at ways to ship food to remote arctic locations more economically but can't. Even a cheap 30 year old bush plane would still not allow me to make much of a profit compared to what they already pay. Distant and difficult to reach locations without much local infrastructure, meaning buying fuel locally is prohibitively expensive and small bush planes don't have the range to do a round trip.

I'd love to be a bush plane pilot but it's just not financially rewarding.

So depressing.

I worked in northern Alberta for two months during the winter and it was terrible, I don't know how these people can actually live up there.

Suicides actually a big problem up there. It's actually sad because unlike the natives in say Manitoba the Inuit are not ultra violent, they're actually quite docile. I worked even further north and though it's neat be in one of the remotest places on earth I could never live there permanently.

Long transportation distances and America has superior economies of scale, pretty much every large country has cheaper shit than smaller countries

>The same gold that backs their currency.

This

Sugar is not good for you

I love you, my hopefully white friend.

>As to why these sodas cost a bunch, they have to be trucked across the fuckin tundra
flown in. There are no roads into Nunavut, everything has to be brought in by plane or boat, and the water is too icy for boats most of the year

This

Sugar is not good for you

Damn moon shining here I come

>American education

Reminder that Trudeau has absolutely nothing to do with this inflation. How is he responsible?

read

>CAnada education.

Gold is a meme, if it was worth anything China would dominate the world because they own most of it. Fort Knox has been empty since the 1970's.

America is a stupid place.

Yeah these are remote as fuck towns up in the yerritories. My brother went up there on a canoe trip a few years ago and took pics of prices of stuff, costs like 200 bucks for a 360 game

It's even worse in some places, Resolute is a trash heap.

STFU trash.

How is Prince George?

BC anons please respond

our currency isn't gold backed, and Trudeau only sold off the rest of our gold because every PM we've had since Mulroney sold off some and now is when we finally ran out

>Live stupid places, pay stupid prices.

I've always wanted to visit the northern territories, yeah. I get the appeal I've always been drawn to 'edge of the earth' places, but really. Gimme a few weeks or a mo the, then give me my couch and cheap Chinese food delivery.

That was a shamefully low effort burn.

Well lets see if you can explain why inflation is happening.

>Someone buys item I'm selling on eBay
>$150
>Buyer has to pay $47 in shipping for a 6 lb item from Chicago to Toronto

only having (1) one commodity...OIL. fuck you canada

No U, and how could you let such a classic go to waste!

how could you let that go to waste dumbass?

It's not. It's only up 1.7% since last year

statcan.gc.ca/tables-tableaux/sum-som/l01/cst01/cpis01a-eng.htm

>Pop
Faggots its called fizzy wizzy suger water.

sure

sure buddy

Montana is a shitty place

They are too far away from eachother for my taste.

Would some kund of rail system be feasible to go to it, or the winters too brutal for that as well?

low-altitude, neutral-buoyancy Dirigible.

Only lifts when going forward, like a plane.

Initial cost is astronomical though.

That looks like a Ford maverick. A giant heap of shit

Are consumer goods really thus expensive ?

Are consumer goods really this expensive ?

Just Canadians being the inferior children of England.

Barrow is even farther north and looks like this.

>US, Russia: Hey you need help with that?
>Canada: LOL no, we got it XD
>South Africa: Hey you seem to be on fire
>Canada: OMG PLEASE COME HELP US AND HOLD US IN YOUR BIG STRONG BLACK ARMS

You just can't help yourselves can you? I cannot fathom the Canadian mind.

It's okay. The dry tundra climate will prevent those vehicles from rusting quickly.

Sadly it's one of the most expensive places to fly on earth. I wouldn't recommend going unless work was paying the ticket, it's nice but you could go to Nepal or something 3-4 times for the price of one high arctic ticket.

Then why are donuts going up in price and so are my chocolate brownies.

im a #czechmissile now

Freeze / thaw would ruin the rail bed.
You'd get washouts from creek beds and winter snow melt. Hundreds of miles of track through a literal wasteland would be extremely difficult to maintain and be extremely expensive.
Then there's the issue of crossing the ocean. Not gonna happen.

Local supermarket? No.

Remote outpost in arctic circle literally unreachable by anything 6 months a year? Yes.

You're welcome to try and figure out a way to send cheap goods to Arctic Bay. Look it up.

Just for reference, when I worked up in the NWT, I made over $200/hr.

I bought a bunch of magazines for $15, they had to spend $20 to ship it from Alaska

Sometimes I think Canada is just trying to troll the rest of the world by being retarded. The patented "I was only pretending to be retarded for 7 years!" method of trolling.

The reason you are being mocked is because we transitioned to the petrodollar as a reserve currency 3 decades ago.

Whats the pic for?

Weed is legal in more of the US than it is in Canada.

And how's that working out for you?

Does that really matter when the prices of common grocery items are inflated to match the average income of the area? $200/hr sounds nice until you see that milk is $30/L
