Shit that is so complex that it blows your fucking mind that humans were able to come up with it...

Shit that is so complex that it blows your fucking mind that humans were able to come up with it, and yet we just take it for granted.

I'll start with semiconductor fabrication, i,e - making computer chips.

Pornography

Network management

That's literally the total opposite of mind-blowing.

You could put some babies in a room from birth, and deprive them of all knowledge, interaction with the world, sensory input, the lot. Literally just keep them alive.

Then when they hit adulthood you could put a video camera in the room and point out the very basics of how it works. Literally - turn on, hit record.

You'd have pornography within a week.

idk like the fact that you can predict the chemical formula of a molecule just by using magnetic and infrared radiations in spectroscopy

Launching a rocket into space carrying satellites, deploying them into orbit. Then having the rocket return to earth and landing.

Well, at least it blows

For the record, someone did try that once.

Back in medieval Europe, a king and his counsellors wanted to know if there was a "innate language" which all children could intuitively speak, before they learned the tongue of their parents (French, English or whatever.)

So they took a group of babies and left them alone in a room with no contact with the outside world. Maids would come in to feed them, but were strictly banned from talking to them or interacting with them in any way.

All the children died within six months. It turns out that the human brain needs stimulation, social interaction etc to develop properly. If it does not get this, it stops growing, and soon physiological processes such as breathing and heartbeats are affected.

educated fag over here

>soon phsyiological processes such as breathing and heartbeats are affected

wow so is that why people who end up lonely in adulthood and without much/any social interaction die "sooner?"

nuclear weapons. The concept is simple, but harnessing and using that power is one of our greatest achievements.

it would be interesting to see them try this in a more controlled modern way. I mean, there's no way in hell they'd get approval to basically murder some kids but I think we could learn a lot from it.

This looks simple but the truth is scientist have been trying to make it since 1980, when it was created the CIA bust in and one of the scientists quickly snapped a picture and uploaded it. Nothing quite compares to this.

Achievements in mathematics blow my fucking mind

How does some plague-ridden young man just fucking come up with calculus

most fundamental discoveries/achievements like that can be explained by one of two things:
1) demonic pacts
2) aliens helped

>implying the occult is an explanation for anything

>I'll start with semiconductor fabrication, i,e - making computer chips.
This is LITERALLY as simple as making a simple, only smaller. That's all a chip is: a bunch of tiny switched wired together

>making a simple
making a *switch*

Kek

it blows my mind that with all the advanced medical shit doctors are able to do like putting cow parts in someone to fix their hearts or doing transplants and shit, they still haven't fucking figured out how to make my cock bigger without fucking it up or costing a fortune.

Do you know how small a transistor is?
Check here: htwins.net/scale2/
(Hint: it's about as small as an HIV virion)
That's fucked that we can put a few billion of those tiny things onto a wafer-thin piece of silicon.

It's more the fact we can fit nearly 10 BILLION on a wafer-thin piece of silicon smaller than your little fingernail, and wire them all together. Those switches are the size of just a few atoms now.

And they're in endless devices that just work, and we never think about that.

hes saying the creation process is amazing , not the product itself... but the product is (as by its process of creation) an amazing feat in engineering even if it is analogous to something simple ...

i mean that is what an analogy is right ... so you really didnt add to the conservation. You are an idiot. leave now

That's because you having a "small" dick (I bet it's actually average) isn't a life-threatening issue.

I'm sure if guys were dropping dead of small-dick-itis before having a chance to breed, and it was threatening the future of humanity, we'd easily come up with a way to give guys bigger dicks.

But yeah, medical science and some of the stuff that can be done is astounding.

Didn't such things start very simple, with large and easy to view/manipulate components, slowly getting to the point where we knew enough to automate a smaller scale build process? Meaning, it was figured out on a large scale then miniaturized and automated.

We could of had that if we didn't all gang up on Nazi Germany. The only issue with experimenting on jew babies is that at any moment they can shapeshift back to their true cockroach form and escape. Other than that, no damage.

Some say we reverse engineered it.

Not going to call bullshit on this, but I would like a sauce.

I mean, it does sound slightly plausible, but I don't see how or why people would just die without social interaction. Go crazy maybe, but simply keel over? Especially under six months, where you can't really have social interaction anyway.

Plus, the kids had each other, so weren't totally isolated.

And finally, the chances of a kid dying before their first birthday in medieval Europe was pretty fucking high anyway.

This guy gets it..

yeah i think they would have figured out something to do to stimulate their brains. They wouldn't just sit there and stare at each other until they keel over.

"stimuli" =/= "social interaction"

I'm gonna go with that we have a fucking space station orbiting the Earth, plus, we did manage to reach the Moon.

How do they know they died from lack of stimulation?

In medieval Europe, there were dozens of other reasons for dying in captivity.

One of them could have caught any of over 9000 communicable diseases rampant at the time.

Pretty much anything past fire

first transistor, 1947

it blows my mind that we stopped, and it would be difficult to go back now even if we wanted to. We never should have let the space program (particularly the human mission part) deteriorate to what it is now where we have to rely on the russians of all people for a lot of our space transportation stuff.

If we had kept at it and let space exploration advance as quickly as other things like computing etc who knows how far we'd be now - permanent bases on the moon, mars, a fleet of spaceships? But no, everyone would rather develop new ways to blow up brown people on the other side of the world.

The first thing that comes to my mind is water pressure.

Some how we are able to connect millions of people to a system that stores, moves, heats and sanitizes gallons of clean water into a house. If you're not part of that system, something is fucking wrong with you.

This.

The actual step from theoretical calculations and testing of things on Earth, then actually flying out into space and having it all work and keep the space fuckers alive.

underrated post

Nanotech is incredible that is true... the only problem is you are seeing it at it's peak it doesn't have much further to go

When you get to the point of being the size of an atom it gets no smaller than that (As we know) they are working on it daily

Nonetheless an incredible feat and accomplishment

>it gets no smaller than that

have you seen the OP's dick though?

Well yes, that's what makes it mind blowing.

We got to the point where we no longer physically make the transistors, we literally paint them with light. It's amazing that no one can actually see them, no one physically interacts with them. They're just created using astoundingly complex processes.

You're trying too hard and it's not funny samefag

Like i said "As we know"
Science hasn't been everywhere OP's pants is a cavernous depths to which a thousand virgins scream

look at this guy samefagging lmao

When you say "humans", who do you mean exactly?

Homo sapien sapiens

The people in that picture are homo sapien sapiens, and I don't see much scientific or technological trailblazing going on there.

Not sure about that one but here's another one about a language experiment.

mentalfloss.com/article/75378/king-scotlands-peculiar-language-experiment

lol same fag

So edgy, how can I cool like you Sup Forumsro?

...

Fucking samefaggers.

...

Nah, it's fucking easy

Trust me, I'm a Cisco engineering technic :D

Fucking magnets, how do they work?

>video camera
but first you need to invent video camera
checkmate

Cinema's, the most impressive scam of all time and no one's even aware.

woman. to create such a complex thing just from a rib is mind-blowing.

What you on about?

>fucked everything up for everyone forever royally beyond any hope of redemption
That's women for you.

It still amazes me, something we use everyday and the technology behind it. A gift from extraterrestrial beings.

Also sending space probes out to explore our solar system, figuring out how to put them in orbit around a planet that's a more than a billion miles away and being able to conduct relatively precise maneuvers and collect data with said spacecraft across that distance, and have it actually work.

Audi's quattro all wheel drive. That shit is next level engineering

>women
>complex

I'm in the industry, and this is totally incorrect. Current microprocessor labs, with software, prototype fabs, emulators and sundry other things is a $50M investment - minimum. One sub 20u fab line is anywhere from $50-$150M depending on volume.

This is amazingly complex and difficult to do correctly.

But would they know to focus on the money shot?

except humans didn't come up with that. It was back engineered from Alien tech.

How? We bombed two shit cities, fucked a bunch of wildlife, and had a massive pissing contest. Wherein is our great achievement?

Slaves

fire

total bullshit. there ARE actual studies on this from russian orphanages though... why make up some bullshit user when actual research exists?

Smoking cannabis sativa produces better results.

I remember hearing about this, but I thought it happened in early 20th century America and done in a research institution.

Hilarious

we don't "harness" that power
we literally do the exact opposite, set things up to go to shit and lob it and something

And I heard it was done in nazi germany by hitler. it's an urban legend.

I guarantee you that every year at least a hundred motivated biochem students independently discover this breakthrough, use their t=======chnology exactly once, then pretend it never happened, forever.

plus anything with fungus growing in it

I'm sure the guy you replied to would at least not keep his fucking garbage where the water is. Maybe even try to use it in some way as building/insulation material.

This

they're cool, i guess. But it's just basic stacking at a large scale.

Hiding successfully the fact for over 3000 years that aliens live among us.

Fukking DNA/RNA transcription ... those enzymes are like little machines with tiny mindsof their own. If you don't know, read about it. Or better yet watch a video. You will trip bals once you realize what is going on in your body 24/7

How did they get the ice to stay frozen for so long?

wasn't it god who was supposed to come up with that, not a man?

Wow
So porn really is a miracle
