"Working families" get ridiculous amounts of government assistance in welfare kickbacks. Artificially fixing a higher minimum wage will increase unskilled economic migration to your nation, INCREASING job competition and diluting job security for the very people you care about.
there is no such thing as "free" anything
if climate is changing, it is beyond our scope to CONTROL it, and we can't possibly know the consequences of trying to "change it back" to something else. Complex, non-linear systems are in a constant state of change and cannot be predicted. I'm not denying that the climate changes and that humans have an effect, but anyone who tells you their model can predict HOW or WHY the climate is changing is a charlatan.
Wind and solar produce more power than coal IN SOME NATIONS because of huge subsidies to make them more attractive. Coal, even with all sorts of taxes and levies and problems with using high-carbon fuels, is still a economic fuel source because it is so cheap.
CO2 is not pollution.
Targeted welfare for the disabled is already in place, basic income is not needed to help the disabled. Many people with disabilities are able to work.

You know I grew up pretty poor, ended up sleeing in a van with my parents and little brother for months but my dad REFUSED to get on welfare or get food stamps. That man literally chose to starve before relying on the gov't for support and he did something I'll never forget and will always live by, he got himself out of that rut, all by himself, he worked over time and proved himself to get a raise at work and we got an apartment. Once we were establish he inspired me to get my first job roofing at 16 and eventually he got a cozy townhome in LA county.
