Windows 10 was downloaded onto my computer when I was sleeping and running a virus scan in hibernation mode.
I woke up and was furious, then went online and saw everyone was complaining about the same thing. I was perfectly content with the Windows I had, I don't see how they got away with that shit, especially when I turned down the offer and pop up for months and went to great lengths of removing the hidden pop up windows.
You can easily revert back for the first month after updating.

My only real complaints about 10 are heavy disk IO (7200rpm or SSD is highly preferable) and that there is another layer of shit over the "real controls" to make the sys touch friendly - pointless on non touch systems but circumventable with the good old run box.

It won't install if you don't schedule an upgrade date.
A lot of people don't know what they are doing when it first pops and up and click schedule the upgrade. After a bit it will pop up everyday asking what day/time to upgrade. You click cancel upgrade and then later on, the pop up will come back on asking for you to schedule the upgrade. Also, when you open windows update( I use 7) and click other updates, upgrade to win10 will always be check marked. So always uncheck that.

I still use Windows XP, and so far it's been just fine. The problem is the 64bit requirements for most softwares. I don't play video games, so I don't mind not being able to access those, but even softwares like Photoshop or the Google chrome browser both require to have an OS on 64bit. Even YouTube has minor issues for me because of this, but it's still managable. I hope I can extend this state forever.
