not really but it sounds interesting what are some essential artists?

>listen to martial industrial
>expect shit more terrifying that death industrial
>get ironic Nazi covers of Queen songs and emo guitar wank
What did they mean by this?

You didn't actually listen to martial industrial. You listened to Laibach and some neofolk.

Laibach and Death In June

But for the most part,

>Laibach and Death In June
Are you fucking retarded?
Laibach is EBM (for the most part) and Death In June is neofolk (for the most part).
Essential Neofolk is Kreuzweg Ost, Die Weiße Rose, Der Blutharsch and such.

No, I'm certain I listened to the right thing.

I mean essential martial industrial.

Well, you did not.

no, Death in June is neofolk

death industrial isn't terrifying, it's just static noise.

And what Laibach meant by this, is that fascism finds new means of expression through pop culture and that the masses' relationship with entertainers is similar to that of the European people to their political leaders in the 1930s. They mean that the average individual craves self-alienation through collective celebration, dramatic discourses and public displays of strength. They mean that disco music and arena rock have the same hypnotic effects and create the same feelings of awe and fascination as wagnerian opera.

but really, all they effectively demonstrated is that military/fascist aesthetics are catchy and fun.

most of this shit is neofolk and whatever Laibach feel like doing (only 40% of their stuff is martial industrial)

here is some of the right stuff

Early Laibach is probably the best MI has to offer.

youtube.com/watch?v=vqlNvAYBd2Y

True, but most of their stuff is EBM.

Sorry but it's not. It's competent MI at best, a proof of concept at worst, and the genre has been perfected by other acts

>perfected
*degraded

Perfected. Laibach's original pitch for martial industrial was "totalitarian military disco". This has been achieved to near-perfection by Von Thronstahl.

>Laibach's original pitch for martial industrial was "totalitarian military disco"
It should have stayed that way.

the fuck is martial industrial and what does it have to do with BSE

But it wasn't that way. They failed to realize this vision and the closest they got was through EBM. Preussak succeeded:

the name.
"black sun empire" sounds like a martial industrial name.

MI is basically vaporwave made out of WWII movie samples, and homemade military marches.

>EBM
>Neofolk
That's all Martial Industrial is. That plus Darkwave plus the occasional Industrial.

Martial Industrial was the original genre to be dictated by aesthetics rather than musical characteristics, preceding Vaporwave and Future Funk by decades.

What the fuck are you on?

Martial industrial started out when Laibach decided to experiment with huge booming drums, macho speech vocals and classical marching music samples, and since then the formula has been refined but that's fundamentally all it's about.

A bunch of artists who did other stuff co-opted the genre but martial industrial, strictly speaking, is this

Drum and bass is more rightwing than you would imagine.

Did you really have to start this thread after the other one died? You know that BSE won't suddenly change genres because you want them to.

see

It isn't but if it makes you happy then whatever.

techstep =/= drum and bass as a whole

>Thinking Von Thronstahl achieved anything
