It's mainly been Disintegration and a variety of Bach's works I have been listening to the past few weeks, depending on how loud my commute gets, although the others have gotten a listen as well a couple times.

>decided to check out storm and stress on a whim. holy shit this is amazing. i like the slint esque production
fuck yeah dude. shit totally blew my mind first time i listened to it. their other album, under thunder and fluorescent light, is also great and i highly rec it. apparently the shows they played were really weird, like with the way kevin shea drummed he would intentionally drop his sticks and do other weird shit. wish there was some footage of it, but all i've heard is messages on old inactive forums.
as a side note if you're interested the other night i found a live recording of the last track on their second album (which is significant because it's the only live recording i've found of ANY of their stuff)
mixcloud.com
it's right at the very end, like the last 7 minutes or so.
its unfortunate that bands like this get tossed to the margins. thanks though! i will check all that stuff out
agree totally. as much as i love don caballero, s&s deserves just as much recognition i think. nice richard dawson on your chart by the way. i dont really post in these threads as much as i used to but you were always a really cool guy

Hello Sup Forums. I listen to plenty of music but have never really tried to "get into it". Where, based on this, should I start? Which of Sup Forumscore would actually be worthwhile?
im new here hi
first of all Sup Forumscore is bullshit. second of all, just listen to essentials of each genre and expand from there, progressively moving into different areas of each.
This Sup Forums core is basically the top rated albums from all genres on RYM.
I don't know what the fuck I like. But I know most of it's good.
I really hope you read this before the thread is archived so that i didnt waste my effort lol

my writing career is taking off on RYM
maybe I won't have to do the dishes anymore
maybe i'll afford weightloss pills
maybe i'll get better taste
it's hard to be a person isn't? Precisely calculated last.fm scrobbles and meticulously manicured charts all in a vain attenpt to portray a "self" in this cultureless shitshow
this place is a prison
Have you ever listened to the rapper BONES? He sounds a bit like all the parts of Trey Sicks Mafia but without any of the good ones
what skill is there in rap?
I'll spit bars to myself under my breath and work and it don't sound the same
but I can't help think
Do they know?
Have you ever made a million dollars off your talent?
Did you just sit on your fat stupid ass all day smoking weed and listening to Darkthrone and wishing away every single day of your fucking LIFE because you can't grasp simple truths that everyone "less cultured" than you managed to get 6 or 7 years ago?
Do you feel like a fuckin idiot now
I'm completely worthless.
In all seriousness, I've been trying to listen to more recent music and it all sucks, except like, Arca
2:23 am here
