Never learned an instrument as a kid

>never learned an instrument as a kid
>too late now that I'm an adult

>too late
no such thing

Too late because it's impossible? It's not.
Too late because it's useless now? Well, if you see no reason to do it for your personal pleasure and have like no friends then probably.

takes like a year tops to get decent at an instrument if you actually practice every single day. music isnt sports, you can start late and still succeed.

>its useless now
Dude OP if you are in your early to late 20s you are nowhere near too late to be cool playing an instrument. Older than that? Make starting late a punk/rock and roll statement.

Muscle memory becomes much harder to train after 24

>not just half-assed learning digital piano well enough so that you can use the MIDI to make something on your computer that sounds way better than anything you could ever do as a single person playing an instrument

analoglets will never learn

Are you sure not 25? I'm pretty sure its 25

I'm 22 and I'm gonna start learning to play guitar very soon. It's never too late user

>much harder
>much
thats an exaggeration, your body and mind start to slowly degrade after 25 sure but its extremely minimal for a long time. learning piano isnt rocket science, you dont suddenly transition into a retard when you turn 25. you have roughly 40 more years of your life before you start turning into a crusty old useless fuck, thats plenty of time to learn.

When Cecil Sharp started recording and cataloguing the Folk songs of these islands, many of the people he met just sang.

Why not you?

>aw man but it's haaaaaaaaard

fuck off you don't deserve to get good at music

maybe he wants to be something more than a soundcloud musician

yeah like a bandcamp musician

If you wanna learn it, learn it. The only thing stopping you is yourself

Depends on what level you're looking to get OP. Guitar? Master = 10 years, shredder = 7 years, Good = 4, Radio = 3, mu/expiramental = 2

Tal Farlow, a jazz legend and innovator, started at 22. I don't think one of the innovators of bebop guitar became a legend in 3 years.

With drums you can get very average in about 2 years. Then mastering it takes another 10. That one is like poker. You either suck or you're a baller at it. Singing is damn near impossible unless you were born with it. Bass is like guitar but smart people will excell at it and dumb people will never understand it

John Frusciante level=29 years

Singer is definitely not "born with" you need to train your voice just like you would with an instrument

maybe shes born with it, maybe its good arts programs in public schools

>tfw could never fucking get my arms and legs to disconnect from what the other was doing on the Rock Band drums
It seems like it would have benefits to your mental agility desu
