Why is it considered such an amazing album?
Why is it considered such an amazing album?
power is an EPIC song, all of the lights is MY JAM and nicki minaj SLAAAYYYSS
Just because it was unexpected. It's just different than most hip hop around that time and for a lot of people uniqueness = quality
because it's good
POWER is actually the only good song from the album desu
I used to love that album but looking back it only has one memorable song
>Monster
>Blame Game
>Runaway
>Devil in a New Red Dress
>not memorable
Because Kanye made it.
... it's weird just how drastically opinions can differ. I can't think of many hip hop albums where each song pops so much. So Appalled is the only track that wouldn't be a significant loss to the overall structure of the album desu
because of nicki's verse on monster
It really is great.
Even if you don't like the rapping, the production is miles ahead in terms of creativity and the lengths they went to make each
instrumental almost perfect. It was made in 2010 and is still going to be relevant 10 years from now. But on the other hand you can
tell Kanye used a lot of help from other talented people like Mike Dean, but he clearly realises that in order to make an album like
this you need every talent you can get. The whole album sounds so "BIG" if you get me, sounds like it was made for a really really cinematic film.
I hated the rapping from Kanye at first but as you get used to his clever and funny little lines you kind of see his
talents as a rapper on this album, I prefer the rapping on this compared to a lot of the "struggle" rap on TCD and LR where each song is basically
"white people are wrong, they kill us every day", even though I still love those albums. He actually seems like he's himself on this album.
just my 2 cents
WHO GOTCHA WHO WHO WHO GOTCHA
because they say the f word on it
latest addition to the pop perfection pantheon. what that means is it's a 7-8/10 album with grandiose elements that's overrated depending on who you ask, but is regardless a defining, epochal work which will be remembered for generations to come.
it's got dope beats and chill vibes, which is like pb&j in the hip hop world
OP sucks dong, confirmed
I agree with all of those but
>Forgetting georgeous
despicable
I honestly believe MBDTF is one of those "you had to be there" albums. The hype for this album was INSANE when it was released. Granted, I was a high school freshman when this dropped, so I got wrapped up in the hype as well. And it's Kanye's best produced album overall. I still consider it a 10/10. Also, Sup Forums seems to be full of 15-25 year olds who still worship Kanye. Fuck, time flies fast.
dont want to spend hours typing here, but personally, its because no matter how long since the album was released, and how many times youve listened to it, you still get the same feeling of wonder as the first time youve ever heard it. thats just in a nutshell.
its "look atcha"
Dunno man I love every song on this
It's an amazingly emotional album. It captures the highest of highs and lowest of lows.
To add, "hell of a life" holds up quite well
Yea that's pretty much everyones main gripe. So Appalled just isn't that great. It's good on it's own but with the album not so much.
If you didn't feel something when you first heard Power, Runaway or Lost In The World then you're probably emotionally broken.
Musically the songs just aren't that grand. The themes are huge but the climax or song structures don't come close to classic "grand" albums like OK Computer, ITCOTCK, LYSF...
listen to it when youre drunk as fuck and everything is fucked
