They can ways fall back on their love of the game and piles of cash.

Isn't Boston decent tho?

Many good private universities there

It's a great place to get educated or work but it's very boring with no night life or art/theater scene. The only people who go there for vacations are old people for the history. Plus the food is really bad

How does the draft work? Are kids forced to go to those shitty clubs if they're a big prospect? Can't they circumvent the draft and have their own private talks?

That's everywhere in the US sadly

kids who "work their ass off in college" aren't typically the ones preoccupied with what kind of night life they're going to be dealing with in-season

Lol no

Seems like a retarded system seeing as parity doesn't really end up changing because of it

I'd rather live there instead of a hellhole like LA, Jew York, or Miami

American seasons are super short. They can spend most of the time wherever they want and shouldn't go out much if they want to be good proffesionals

>Full of universities
>Shit night life
>No art or theater scenes
How the fuck is this even possible?

In what way is Boston boring?
Actually curious.

It gives the false sensation of equity. But in reality they just force young players into shit contracts in unstable teams. Most good players except the freaks tend to come from outside the top 3 picks from the draft if you look at it as they landed in more stable organizations

It's a conundrum. Providence is ranked as a more exciting New England city

Just bit much to do it's mostly families

>art/theater scene
What kind of athletes do you think exist? There are hot sluts who will suck millionaire dick in all those cities. Unless you're in LA or New York where you have the media powerhouses most cities have the same type of clubs everywhere.

The only one that would suck would be Salt Lake City unless you're a milquetoast country guy who's okay with quirky religious people and 4.0 ABV beer.

Also there are plenty of country guys in those leagues who'd love a ruralish area and plenty of brain guys who like the academics of boston

too many cucks and nu-males

Everything closes at 10 PM and if you're black you'll get called nigger a lot.

It's not. Anyone that tells you it's boring is a stoner or a degenerate that gets shit faced at clubs every night. Boston if full of history and culture. Tons of markets, parks, and sightseeing.

>What kind of athletes do you think exist?
Gasol didn't went to Ocklahoma because they didn't have art/theater scene or operas.Older players tend to appreciate those kind of things

In any of those cities life as a millionaire is pretty good

My tiny ass city of 150k people shits on Boston in anything related to culture and history and has a very decent night life. You can have both things pal

best city in the country

This has always bothered me.
Can't the guy that got drafted just refuse to sign with the team that drafted him?

Then what is the fucking point of the draft?

Sorry, Pedro. I'll never post again.

Exactly. I just never understood how a player can be forced to sign with that and only that team.

>Some of the highest combined state and local sales taxes:
>Chicago, Illinois: 10.25 percent (starting Jan 1, 2016)
>Birmingham and Montgomery, Alabama: 10 percent.
>Seattle, Washington: 9.6 percent.
>Glendale, Arizona:, 9.5 percent.

here are some cities you dont want to be in

>Detroit's income tax rate is 2.50% for residents and 1.25% for non-residents. Missouri: Both Kansas City and St. Louis have an income tax of 1%. New York: Yonkers and New York City both have individual income taxes. New York City's income tax rates range from 2.907% to 3.648%.

>I love how they call boston racist but cant do shit since the city is working man democrat.

Beats working you ass off in college ball to get hired and have to live in a boring ass city like Cleveland, Green Bay, Boston, or Indianapolis and have a soul crushing low pay office job

boston really isnt racist

its just a rare +50% white city so everyone calls them racist

i mean think about

>some drunk fan maybe said nigger at Fenway
>DUDE THERE GOES RACIST BOSTON AGAIN

Bostonfag here, all the good art/theater goes to New York if it's good enough.

New York is the answer to mostly everything as to why Boston doesn't have so much cool shit

except the sporps teams

To try and restore competitive balance in the league, but there are still only like three good NBA teams at a time

unless you get a LeBron from the draft as a smaller city, you're irrelevant and fucked

This works much better in the NFL where free agency/trades are so nerfed that most teams build through the draft.

Not like Europe where the big money teams sign everyone and cuck the rest of the world

>its just a rare +50% white city
It is 55% white counting mestizos as whites

well just don't move to a city you don't like. It's not like they have no freedom of choice, it's the land of the free after all

Big money clubs in Europe are not usually in the biggest cities except in Spain

Boston isn't that close to New York. And Boston has a lot of young people
Isn't Boston the biggest sport city in the US

they win too many championships so people who have never been there grasp at straws to denigrate the city

Boston isn't the biggest. But it's the most dominant in the past 15-20 years

What if a player flat out refuses to move to a certain city?
He will never be a professional?

Could be worse, you could be a talented kid who spend your childhood sharing club and facilities with Ronaldinho or Deco and have to live in Stoke, or some shithole like that.

there are like zero non-whites outside of urban areas

The league is way more powerful than the franchises. They would just veto you from playing

once drafted, if they refuse the contract, he has to wait a few years out of the league and then he can play for anyone as a free agent

depends what you define as urban

theres a 40k person city near me that is 70% non white

while my town of 10k is 99% white

The majority of people that talk shit about cities like that havent lived in them for extended periods of time.

Don't shit talk a place if you haven't spent more than a few months there

> he has to wait a few years out of the league
>few years
In his prime years of learning? Wth man.

Most famously, Kobe Bryant refused to play for the Charlotte Hornets so they were forced to trade Kobe to at lesst get something out of it.

That will happen less and less as the rules will be stricter on that

Cleveland is literally a hellhole.I would rather live under a hole than in Cleveland

Gasol its a fucking snob. In Oklahoma there are cowboys and nice horses, thats enough for a grown ass man like Pau.

>Kobe Bryant refused to play for the Charlotte Hornets
Didn't they trade him voluntarily?

Consider the fact that students in the USA can't drink until they are 21, which is when most of them will be finishing their degree. They live in a segregated campus and do all their drinking at house parties.

And Paris, and London, and Portugal, the fuck are you talking about? Berlin?

It's only a state over m8

No way, they drafted Kobe because he was easily the top talent and thought once Kobe went to the NBA he would give up his "I wanna play for LA or Philly" act

>Paris, and London
PSG is an oil money fake club just like Chelsea.Arsenal and Tottenham are shit
>Portugal
Shit teams.
Then look at
>Liverpool
>Manchester United
>Bayern Munich
>Juventus
>Monaco
>Milan
All these teams are ubicated in smaller cities from the country.Europe has always been dominated by "small market" American standards
And the distance between them is like 5 hours by car.Unless you take a flight every weekend seems a long ass distance to do frequently
Kobe was like 24 in the Draft

>24
13

Munich has a population of 1.3 million

It's one of the biggest cities in the EU

Real Madrid are just a fake government funded club, Atletico Madrid have never won a Champions League.

>1.3 million
It has a smaller metropolitan and economic area than a lot of German cities.Even then it is the 17th biggest in Europe which in America would be considered a small market
>Real Madrid are just a fake government funded club
How are they goverment funded? Either way it is the most valueable club in the world

Drop a little knowledge bomb. Any city is fucking awesome when you have a ton of money.

>Spaniards talking about fake money clubs.

Strong hypocrisie there hombres

Just becuase we can't doesn't mean we don't

Besides New york or LA

>Milano
>Munich
>Turin
>Manchester
>smaller cities from the country

those are among the largest cities in their countries pal

Real Madird had the best sugar daddy of them all, Franco. Real have also been under investigation a ton of times for using tax payers money. I mean Marcos Alonso literally killed somebody when playing for Real and they got him off without any charges.

Obviously college students drink but I assume only mega chads and girls with big tits get into clubs and bars underage. In most European countries you can legally drink soft alcohol like Beer and Wine at 16 in bars etc.

PSG is just big through Qatari bucks. They were a mid-table shit team before the oil ayyrabs put the money. The same goes to Chelsea. The most succesful European clubs have been "small markets" by American standards
>Milano
19th biggest in Europe. The 19th biggest city in the US is Denver (small market)
>>Munich
17th.The 17th biggest city in the US is Charlotte (small market)
>>Turin
40th biggest in Europe. The 40th biggest city in the US is Colorado Springs (not even considered for a franchise)
>>Manchester
Smaller than Ocklahoma. The team that is constantly criticized for being a too small market in the US
>Franco meme again
Barça won more leagues during Franco's regime that Madrid. The team was always big and had a huge attendance
For Americans those are small markets.Specially when you take into account that they have a team for each state

1. San Diego
2. Houston
3. Tampa

9001. Kansas City
90001. Oakland
900001. Detroit
9000000000001. The city of AFC North

At least if you get drafted to a Boston team you have some good odds at winning a championship

When you say big cities you mean capitals? All of those less Monaco and maybe Liverpool are big cities, Liverpool is not a richest team than arsenal, Milan is plus 1 million, Turin and suburbs plus 2 million like Manchester.

>Big through Quatari bucks
>Shit tier team

Irrelevant, PSG has always been a big $$ club, difference is Qatar is willing to spend it

Shit tier team, funny you say that, season before Qatar came along they finished 4th of the league
They also won one of those old shit tier Europa league way before big $$ Qatar showed up. Where as clubs like Chelsea and City didn't do anything like that.

You're memeing pretty hard. Europe is more diverse than America. Many of the most populated cities of Europe are in irrelevant shitskin and slav countries. If you only count real cities Munich is the 9th largest, for example. It's a big market club. Turin a small city? Get real Gonzalo González

Yes they did. Chelsea had won 2 European competitions, had a league title, a bunch of FA cups and were regularly qualifying for Champions League before Abramovich came along.

>Imagine being a kid who works his ass off in college ball to be drafted

and doesn't get drafted at all and wasted his time in college by concentrating on athletics instead of academics and now they have nothing.
That's what happens most of the time in the US.

>When you say big cities you mean capitals?
>If you only count real cities
Nice criteria.Even then you have 2 bigger markets in Germany not including the Rurh region which is pretty much one big metropolitan blob

Also, the season before Abramovich took over, Chelsea finished 2nd in the league.

They can refuse but other teams won't bother to sign them in order to keep power in the draft. Meaning the player would have to go overseas or sit on the coach rotting away for years until the teams draft rights disappear.

they finished fourth

Thats the main way they get the players to comply. If they want to throw a bitch fit that you didn't get drafted by the team to wanted to join and not play thats fine. But enjoy doing it at your moms house where you won't make millions and and are just wasting your prime learning years until you're a free agent.

Try Baltimore or Jew York

t. autist

baltimore is a 3rd world country

i wouldnt go there

Yeah it must suck to make millions of dollars and live in a huge house for half the year while you do your job, and then have 4 months off to go wherever the fuck you want and do whatever the fuck you want with no responsibilities aside from not injuring yourself. Not to mention that during a season you'll get to travel across the country to more "exciting" cities as well.

They actually can though. The best example being Eli Manning who was going to get drafted #1 by the San Diego Chargers but refused to play for them for some reason that was never disclosed. He was traded down to the Giants, and while he lost a good amount of money by being traded down, ultimately it worked out since he's made millions and won 2 super bowls

>live in a huge house

Why is this a goal for Americans? In what way does your life improve with a huge house?

it's full of methheads

I don't get this argument. Big cities don't really dominate in the States either. Sure you got the Yankees and Lakers historically but the Big 3 cities(NYC, LA, Chicago) all have checkered histories with their major sports teams sports teams, the next largest 3 are Houston, which is objectively bad, Dallas which is checkered, and Philadelphia which is not very good.

In the last year the 8 cities to reach the championship in the four major team sports were Chicago, Cleveland twice, Oakland, Pittsburgh, San Jose, Boston, and Atlanta. None of those besides Chicago are among the 8-9 largest metro areas in the country.

Also, Denver and Charlotte literally played each other in the Super Bowl 2 years ago lol. Colorado Springs is only like the 80th biggest metro area, which is a much more accurate measurement of real city size here.

It makes us less energy efficient and causes our children to resent us.

What's worse, methheads or dopefiends?

Nothing beats LA. The bud the women the weather

Lel is this a serious question?

>Sweden

Let me explain: when you have a big house, you get things a like a nice front yard, back yard, garage, pool, home office, gym, etc Also, your neighbors tend to be further away so you have more privacy and security

I know you yuros are used to being crammed into flats and enriched on public transportation, so you don't understand why owning your own home/land and driving your own car is essentially the American dream

>Oh no I'm making hundreds of thousands of dollars!

>Living in a giant house for a cheap price with nobody bothering you is bad
