MUHREEN here
Man contractor life seems great when you get out. Way fatter paycheck too.

Lol 25b are idiots.

little brother is an FCA3 on ddg-106, hard ass job i heard.

I agree, going to OCS once i get back, going for 17A, i'm surrounded by retards.

didnt want to out when i did, but had twins and diapers are expensive as fukk
miss it.

depends on a lot of things; what system, how many techs onboard, command climate about maintenance, how degraded the system is, how effective of a tech he his, if the prior techs are any good at training, etc.

it can be fucking terrible if the right conditions are there, but he's the master of how bad it is.

any major difference between you guys and a regular FC?

Damn, you got the full retirement.
I’m currently debating on getting out or trying for MARSOC.

Just got out of the infantry after three and half years of bullshit training. Cavillian life is boring and I’ve been thinking about going back in to deploy, what do you guys think.

what the fuck does arty prepare you for after leaving, not being an asshole, honest question...does it do anything at all.

Have fun being a cop

yeah. regular FCs deal with conventional systems. think CIWS, 5 inch gun (the GCS for it at least), Tomahawk, RAM, ETC. FCAs deal exclusively with the Aegis weapons system. so the SPY radar, the FCS illuminators, and the computer/display suite for Aegis. we also deal with all the extra shit that goes along with those systems, like aux air and water. oh and on most ships we maintain the main power converters for all of combat systems.

See

i swear to god i was just about to say the same shit.

That’s cause it’s the truth. Gun bunnies are too stupid to do a real job and too scared to go 11 bang bang

You're smarter than me brother, i was prior service GM2 before crossing over, couldn't have done all the shit you guys did.

shut up pri and get my coffee, oh i'm sorry. do you not like being called pri, pri?

the fact that you don't get to choose between 11b & 11c is retarded though

>in bagram wearing ACU not OCP

Yeah okay faggot

so this is where the majority of my taxes goes to.

Cop is probably your best bet. I know a couple guys that got out and went contractor. For me, I'm going back to school and Uncle Sam is going to foot the bill.

What’s f2 and why do I want it?

That's the biggest crock of horse shit I have ever heard you dx nearly everything when you mob and they spring for new uniforms.

Not to mention even if you were AD you still get a clothing allowance and ACU was phases out of AD.

You should have at least picked a cooler MOS to pretend to be.

Nope sorry. Lots of medics out there, buddy. We’re all strangely similar though.

atleast he did upgrade to a general discharge after the lt (who later became a brigade commander) was DD'd for corruption & harassment in 1999, case went public and he used it to his advantage to claim the lt had provoked him during the incident and it fucking worked.

Serious question...what drives people to get moulded into a killing machine to enforce the tyranny of the capitalist monster upon other countries...when the leaders of such countries don't really give a shit about the brave men and women putting themselves in harms way for their country..When in reality the majority of operations taking place are just there to help the rich get richer while men and women are literally dying in order to help capitalism grow stronger? Someone is making money for each bomb dropped and for every bullet being fired. don't understand the mentality....Unless someone is out of options as to what they want to do with their life? Please no hate..I've nothing against people who are serving in the armed forces. I can hate a regime whilst still having respect for the victims.

free education. Also its something cool to do

alrighty

Hmm yes I can understand it looking from that perspective. My sister learnt to drive for free whilst she was training in the Army. And I can see the appeal in the adventure you can aquire from travelling the world, and of course the adrenaline of firing a gun.

Skill Identifier for Flight Medic but i think you need at least 2 years in + Spc.

Coast Guard here, fight me fags.

Oh that’s cool. I don’t have any ASI right now but I don’t really want any either. When I was down in whiskey land they tried to get me to join 160th SOAR because I had a great PT score and was excelling at classes. I turned it down because I never thought I’d make it. Now I surely wouldn’t because I’ve definitely left myself go there. Feels bad man.

in all fairness he's probably be telling the truth, 23rd CBRN still rocked ACU's during their downrange time last summer.

Any 13B brothers in Korea right now?

We have one but it’s not sizeable.

what do you do? smoke cigarettes and kick rocks all day?

Sounds like my average Saturday night.

prepare to make more money anyway user, if you put in that $100 a month for a year you should at least have 12 - 14 months at school on the GI Bill's tab.

Lots of cigarettes, but no rock kicking. Usually we maintain our 30 year old coyotes and go to ranges.

Basic is a joke, almost all trades training that isn’t highly technical is easy unless it’s combat arms then make sure you’re moderately fit.

IED red dot program was to quickly find ieds and establish a geographical location so we could plot it on a map and send the information out to all ground units so they know where one is and not to get blown up. its cheaper than removing them.

personally I would just not follow rules most of the time and id get in trouble on a daily basis. i also would drink too much and make bad decisions on my days off.
