Nice, I like it but expect hate from the boring hipsters.
Carajo is not a great band, but I like the solo of this song.
What rock genre do you prefer most?
Here is Argentinian metal, for the metal haters:

Were Soda Stereo popular in Europe or just Latin America?
Only Latin America. Soda Stereo had the back of Sony, so it was known all around Latin America. The bands posted here are all indies, and only known in Argentina (and Uruguay).
Leon Gieco.
This is heavy jazz-rock

Haven't heard much Argie stuff, but I've a bit of a soft spot for Uruguayan rock, particularly El Cuarteto de Nos.
How come somebody has heard Uruguayan rock and not Argentinian
Proof that this planet is broken and normies control media.

My mom's Uruguayan, mate, and I didn't grew up near Argentina so I had little contact with Argentinian music.
Argentina and Uruguay share the culture, to the point that is had to tell the difference.

I'm a non-mexican spic and it baffles me how Argentina is the only spanish-speaking country that had a progressive rock scene as much good as the western scene. I still like La Máquina's self titled more than other anglo stuff.
That's from the 70's.
Yeah it is. No other spanish speaking country had something remotely similar at the same time, not even in Spain.
Like I literally try looking from spanish-speaking prog rock bands and 99% of them are from Argentina.
That's because Argentina ever tried to absorb and being part of British/French/German culture.
The rest of the Spanish speaking countries, even today, arrogantly pretend to have a superior culture, to the point of isolating themselves from foreign influences, out of pure spite and nazionalism.
