Papercraft. Mostly corrugated cardboard because it's strong and I get as much as I like for free, but will use card stock and plastic as needed. I like to make stuff from sci fi (the TARDIS, Colonial viper, Discovery One from 2001) and world war II (Jeep willy, P-51 mustang, spitfire).

I wont say that it is a good hobby, but playing table top miniature games like Malifaux or Age of Sigmar (there are tons out there, see what is played in your area). I like this hobby because you have to assemble your little toy soldiers, paint them, and then actually use them to play against *gasp* other real people.
