Hm, I'm not experiencing the same thing then, though I've been officially diagnosed for about 6 years now. I would regularly have weeks where every day I would get one at 12 o clock, then it dissapeared for a year.
My version is excuciating pain behind one of my eyes, like it is being pried out slowly with a spiked bat.
It would often radiate towards my ear and jaw.
They would reach maximum intensity in about 10 minutes and stay that way for an hour, and then quickly quiet down as soon as they came, leaving me exhausted.
The patterns have shifted nowadays. I didn't have any for a couple of months, but this week they started again, keeping me awake or pulling me out of my sleep.
