What's the best Black Mirror episode to watch?

What's the best Black Mirror episode to watch?

San Junipero or Hang the DJ.

San junipero isn't that good, it's okay but there's better episodes.
Play test is pretty sweet, white bear isn't bad, and the episode after playtest is good. I don't know the title but the main characters name is Kenny and it's about porn.

Shut up And Dance

Play Test, Shut Up and Dance, White Bear

>San Junipero
boring as fuck with no actual plot twist, there wasn't anything negative or black mirrory there

the best episode is that star trek one

I feel like san junipero was some left Bullshit push.
Every episode has some type of twist and the main character typically gets screwed, except for San junipero where its all peaches and creams for the main character.

>no one saying white christmas
wtf user

Damn I can't take Sup Forums seriously... so much hate for San Junipero. Belive me I am no leftist.. but its core themes it deals with is very heavy and I felt it did so very well

agreed. white christmas is the best episode by far

It was boring and didn't feel like a black mirror episode at all

And it wasn't even original, this matrix shit has been done million times before..
I kept waiting the whole time for the twist to drop, like the san junipero being actually run by aliens on a spaceship and people inside are stolen brains in jars but nope... shit and boring all the way through
The only interesting thing of note which this kind of matrix tier cinema gets always wrong is that people still alive trying junipero were legit there all fine and dandy, but the people who got euthanized were dead and gone and in the san junipero was only their COPY, it's like if someone made a clone of you and then killed you, you would still be dead

Same frustration with the star trek episode, if you clone someone from their saliva the clone will look like the person but it sure as fuck won't have any memories since only physical traits are encoded in the dna

Everyone for fucks sake.

WOT IF A COMPUTA ATE YA MUM

white christmas by far

Out of the whole series the only good one is San Junipero. Hang the DJ was decent, but I've probably watched San Junipero at least 50-60 times.

I love introducing people to the show but mostly to show them this episode and talking about it because it's amazeballs. Admittedly I get surprised/choked up by the ending still but it's the best episode so I watch it pretty often.

All other episdoes are usually boring and sad so I watch them once while washing dishes and cleaning up around the house and then throw in San Junipero after to be excited for the show. I hope they make a sequel episode or a spin-off series for that or a movie.

The one with the camera in your eyes and the guy gets cucked

The themes in most of the episodes were meh, but it really like the horror game one. It was done several times before but this always fascinated me.
If you enter a video game that is so good it's indistinguishable from real life, then you can never again be sure that you actually left the game. Every time you quit the game, you could just wake up still in the game and never be sure if you are or not

Not as good as San Junipero

San Hunipero only is popular because it's gay

Eh, it was a sad episode...Not as good as San Junipero

Way too much Black and White shots... Yawn! Not as good as San Junipero

I hope this is some gay meme because san junipero was one of the worst episodes. It had no place in this kind of tv show. It's called nigger mirror, not boring mirror

great episode but predictable

White christmas, no other choice.

Everyone agrees that this was an average episode compared to an episode of Friends...Not as good as San Junipero

USS Callister. Start there.

agreed, not a leftist in the slightest but the episode was decent. i just take the episodes at face value and don't look for politics unless it's forced on us.

qints

The creator even said that San Junipero was the height of the show and that it was made to showcase this epiosde. All other episodes fall way short and miss the mark

>San Junipero

Genuinely my bottom three. Don't see what people liked about it tbh.

dammit
>

I also really like that episode where the main protag turned to be a pedo, i did not see that coming, i kept saying to myself "is he retarded? i would rather have a pic of me fapping online than like rob a bank and go to jail and shit" and then then plot twist dropped, that was really nice

But unfortunately then they ruined the suspense and build up with the troll face... i cringed so hard i almost tore my muscles

hard to pick a 'best' but the 'waldo' episode was one of the shittiest ones.

you have to remember that children primarily use this site nowdays so themes such as the ones in that episode fall on deaf ears, simply because these kids can't resonate with them

It's the least predictable episode and it takes so many twists and turns and even at the end leaves you guessing. It probably the most perfect episode of Black Mirror. At first I didn't like it that much but then I read about how much everyone was talking about it and then I rewatched it and it was my favorite by far and still is so that should tell you something about how good it is.

Bullshit. There was nothing dark in the episode at all and that is literally the theme of the show, technology being used in twisted evil ways
In fact out of all episodes it was the only one where i was genuinely bored after watching it

Ya, you can tell true fans because they always say San Junipero is the best. If they don't they're just casual fans

It's ok. If you're just a casual fan you don't have to like it but true fans of the show really only like this episode for being the best in the series. The others are watchable I guess but they're Not as good as San Junipero

Fifteen Million Merits and White Christmas. IMO the whole 2 first seasons are god tier, third season is overall good and 4th is kinda dissapointing, Black Museum is the only one I haven't watched yet.

I cannot fucking wait for the uss callicter technology to be invented

Just imagine.. that hot girl at work you are too scared to even talk to.. you can just snatch her coffee mug and boom perfect matrix sex slave with no consequences

San junipero made me shed tears
10/10

It was about how we have one life and not to waste it on Bs
How can you not see it?

The black chick is the main attraction/convict's daughter and kills the shop owner at the end by trapping his consciousness in the same device he held her father in

FUCK You

>muh subtle contexts and inbetween lines messages
doesn't change the fact the episode was boring and not even slightly original either

I LOVE San Junior forever

You must be fun at parties

Fuck you!

white christmas without quiestion

star trek

>Sees answer other than San Junipero
>Knows that person has to be trolling
>Blood pressure can finally drop

Sup Forums is too negative to truly appreciate Black Mirror. This place has a tendency to focus on the parts of media they dislike than what there is to enjoy.

Ask somewhere else if you want recommendations on what to watch. This shithole is better if you want what "not" to watch.

Trick question.
I think you meant "What part of San Junipero made you feel the most"?

Mine was when she couldn't find her at the club and tried all the different timezones to find her

Jesus christ, imagine being a middle aged woman in midlife crysis getting tattoos from one of the worst episodes from some second tier rate tv shot, so literally nobody will ever get the reference and you end regretting it several weeks later after the impressions from the show completely wear off
i pity her

Majority on Sup Forums has such a fragile ego that if someone doesn't like what they like then they lose their shit and lash out like a frightened lizard spewing "faggots" and "niggers" as far as the eye can see.

Why should you pity her? People have gotten way more obscure tattoos and will continue to do so. Why should someone's tattoo decision affect you?

White Bear or Shut Up and Dance

B8
That was objectively the worst one

yikes

And then she leaves you trapped in your custom mod without any controls and you get deleted.

>soft children detected

hardly
he was an idiot, i would never leave any means for her to gain control of the game like he did
win fact when i wasn't there i would just pause the game

USS Callister will make you be nice to your co-workers

>when i wasn't there i would just pause the game
That's exactly how he got boned.

Christmas special with Jon Hamm

he wasn't pausing the game he was doing LARP pause, if he actually pauses then it would freeze the time

the one where a guy has charged of some kind of shit and get free of jail but police block the communication with any people and just see them as a no antena in 90s...

I don't think Infinity worked like that, but whatever floats your virtual coffin, user.

The one with the super cool twist at the end...

Fuck this show, shit is drivel

San junipero
Playtest
White christmas
White bear

white christmas is the best overall story.

watch hang the dj if you don't wanna feel depressed after an episode

Hes a fucking idiot too, who would remove genitals?

this

literally the one single reason why would even use that technology are fucking genitals

>the best episode is that star trek one
that one was fucking stupid bullshit
"hey i have a great idea, let's strawman an entire branch of society, young white guys, so that sjws can throw hate at them because of our stupid episode!"

My problem with San Junipero is it's too happy. I like the feeling of despair or hopelessness most black mirror episodes leave you with

Personally I liked white bear, hang the dj,national anthem, and men against fire, last ones a little predictable but it still is a good episode,

Waldo moment was just cring

Season 4 Eppie 1
Or the black museum.

Fucking this. I felt that it was catering toward a certain crowd which I didn't get. It's not "Black Mirror-esk" at all. It was boring, yet it's nominated for being one of the best episodes? Fucking Hollywood, man. You make a super dark TV show, and the one episode that has lesbians in it, it's nominated and is considered the best episode of the season and one of the best of the series.

>just say the word, Stripe

it was shit

The National Anthem

Since it turned out the UK prime minister probably had really stuck his dick in a pig.

I liked White Bear best. They actually got me on that one.

>IMO the whole 2 first seasons are god tier, third season is overall good and 4th is kinda dissapointing
thats because netflix bought it lol.
the best seasons were on british tv. then netflix bought it and it hasnt been as good since

>everyone agrees.

Not me, nigger. White Christmas is way better than San Junipero

The one that makes computer games too much like reality. With the chip inside his neck. Got me good.

Playtest
White Bear
Man against Fire
White Christmas

Metalhead

i thought it was unrealistic that the sims have genetic memory and are effect real people.
that was stupid, and made it seem a lot more political like they were trying to victimize white young men

spoilers never phase me, in fact, it turns out that knowing the ending of a story actually makes you enjoy it more, but i wouldnt expect normies to understand

was shit

15 million merits is the best one

>White christmas, no other choice
Definitely

The episode before the last one of season 4 was quite good, but oddly unsatisfying. So many questions left.

Wow.

You could pretty much divide this thread into people who love San Junipero and people who don't.

For anyone that is interested in the original question of which episode is the best; I'll give my two cents. San Junipero is great, White Bear is great, Hang the DJ is great, White Christmas is great, the Entire History of You is great, Shut Up and Dance is great.. and the list goes on and on.

It's all about what kind of ideas run rampant around your mind when you're alone with your thoughts. People who hate left winged politics could find San Junipero as a preaching do-goody bullshit episode just the same way people who yearn to see the good in humanity can find Men Against Fire cynical and dystopian. It's an anthology series so the only real way to find what clicks with you is to watch the show and decide for yourself.

Personally I found Fifteen Million Merits as one of my favourite ones. As I said good episodes are often the ones that resonates with something you think about, and as a person that sometimes struggles with feelings of a constructed social protocol, where we are expected to work for entertainment and the minimum amount of essentials, I find that episode especially haunting how it forces a person to watch their desires, dreams and last sliver of hope corrupted by a system they are very much a part of. Ultimately to end up falling for the same corruption.

I disagree, I’ve never felt more alone than after seeing “Hang the DJ”

“The Entire History of You” hits all my emotional buttons too.

White Bear was the first episode that I saw and I think that it was a good intro to the series.

Shut up and Dance is the best paced and interesting story.

Be Right Back and Hated in the Nation, sucked.

1. Hated in the nation
2. The National Anthem
3. USS Callister
3. Play test

. Agreed

Especially as a new viewer not knowing what to expect.

Nosedive was funny and lite
Men Against Fire was decent
I liked Arkangel for the themes even though the story and casting was meh
