have you heard the song

Yes - why does doing the whistle cause them to lose their shit is what I'm asking...

Because he had a cock up his ass and was a faggot, probably meaning "did he suck the cock?"

bump - this is an important question

I don't get it.

this thing was cringy, especially Gervais'over analysis of a dick/gay joke

>gervais' fake laugh
Unbearable

the thought of a comedian doing a lame joke changing words in a song to a completely silent, hostile audience is funny, but the thought of him then continuing with the song about him being fucked in the ass for some reason is absurd

There's part of humor that's paying too much attention to trivial details that shouldn't matter to the joke itself. English comedians and Seinfeld do it a lot.

It's funny to them because despite thinking hard about that joke, they didn't consider the whistling. It's the out of the blue factor, absurdity. Because why would it matter?

And I guess the image of a guy sitting on a cock and whistling.

It's not something you can explain. It's the idea of this guy thinking singing "sitting on some cock 'cause I'm gay" taking it far enough to do the whistle, while having cock in his ass.

It's fucking stupid and that's why they all break down. It's like someone saying something and another person screaming at everyone not to laugh; suddenly it becomes so much funnier and no one can explain why

Gervais was pure cringe during the whole show but the kike, the nigger and the spic were cool.

BIG

WHITE

BLACK

C U C K

I don't get why he was even there in the first place

Because he's fucking big. He wrote The Office and Extras. I don't care if you don't like the guy but he wrote two things that elevated him to incredible heights.

Don't get me wrong, the guy is a tosser but if you don't get why he's there then you're an idiot.

It was his production, he funded and set up the whole thing. That's why he forced so much laughter cause he needed the thing to work, it's also why he drives most of the conversation.

He's the guy that set the whole thing up.

It's not like his comedy pals are going to sit down and see him sit in the fourth seat and stare at him until he leaves. Chris Rock did manage to get some shit talking in throughout the show though.

>It's not like his comedy pals are going to sit down and see him sit in the fourth seat and stare at him until he leaves.
I could see Jerry doing that.

I love The Office, but come on. It came out in 2001. Seinfeld, Chris Rock and even Louis CK has had comedy as their bread and butter for their entire adult life. He's a bit out of place imho.

>Louis Cuck King thread
>Still no pasta

Jerry always seems like he's a complete fucking asshole just underneath a thin veil of sarcasm.

The show was mostly about stand-up, which makes Ricky most definitely out of place. The Office was as genre-defining and influential as Seinfeld, but Ricky's stand-up career launched entirely based off that success. He didn't have to struggle for years in shitty clubs honing his craft and he has no idea what it means to be a stand-up. He's never seen a hostile audience or worked a crowd because people come to see him and he's never had to.

Ricky's standup is nowhere near as good as the other three's. His tv writing is however much better than anything any of the others have done.

Well he is Jewish.

Especially considering he's not even a stand-up comedian originally. Hell you can tell when they talk he doesn't have the same approach as them, and it's not just because he's a Brit. On that note I would have loved if they had David Mitchell there instead of him.
But he set up the whole thing and it's a fun watch anyway, so I don't hold it against him.

At least he has the veil, not like Larry David.

He also approaches jokes themselves differently, he obviously doesn't put as much effort into it, nor is he as interested in the craft.
There's a reason he often uses visual aids in his stand-up.

Live comedy is a lot funnier than recorded comedy. It gets more laughs and louder laughs. There is just an element of comedy that people who aren't in that room will never be able to understand.

So either "you just had to be there" or a few of them are hamming it up for the camera. Louis doesn't seem like the kind of guy to do that though.

>segment is all about how you can't explain why some things are funny
>goes to the internet to ask why something is funny

I like Larry David. The guy is open about being a complete dick.

>David Mitchell
>stand-up

what the FUCK are you talking about

am I the only one who was bothered by this sit down? It felt like a nepotistic jerkoff by hollywoods and I've felt more "genuine" shit come from joe rogan of all people talking with diaz

also can we stop incorrectly referring to gervais as a comedian? AHHH HAAA HAAAAAAAAAAA ATHEISM CUNT! isn't funny to anyone outside a r9k uk edition thread

Now that you mention it that was a stupid point. I just like his comedydo so I'd have liked him intereacting with those other guys.

I would rather have seen Doug Stanhope, Bill Burr, and Mitch Hedberg sit down.

You don't think Louie is better than Gervais' stuff?

>Live comedy is a lot funnier than recorded comedy. It gets more laughs and louder laughs. There is just an element of comedy that people who aren't in that room will never be able to understand.
It's a hormonal response to other people having similar emotions around you, same reasons movies are better in theaters and music at concerts (supposedly).

They're just talking about jokes, m8, not particuarly trying to be genuine about themselves.

Not recently, but maybe six seven years ago, Louis was better than Gervais, yeah.

Is the special worth watching. I like C.K, Seinfeld and Chris Rock.

I think this is a good explanation. Absurdity gets the most laughs in social situations, I find. Laughter definitely also becomes contagious and each subsequent joke funnier.

Louie and Seinfeld are both better shows than anything Gervais has done. And I am a fan of Extras.

>Is the special worth watching
Absolutely.

imagine being arnold on set

What's the song

because the quiet one whod barely said anything, said it. thats why. if loudmouth ricky had said it himself no one would have gave a shit.

That's funny, I was just talking about that panel that Seinfeld, Louis, and Chris Rock did with Ricky Gervais, and Gervais says that he's never bombed and of course he hasn't—he's a huge star and has done stand-up like three times.

>Did he say that?

Yeah.

>I know that every comic hated that goddamn thing because the other three were actual stand-ups. And there's this one guy and you see his special and he's on about atheism and it's like, "Oh, god. How groundbreaking." But I certainly think he's funny, though..The Office is amazing.

what are you quoting

not memeing just curious

The great Norm Macdonald.

>norm's fav is Brian Regan
man after my own heart

no but specifically. His podcast? Which guest?

just google the fucking words

ricky needs to stop thinking he's a good comedian

don't be thick m8

The whistle is funny because, while the parody version of the lyrics negate the original meaning of the Redding song and you don't really think about it, the whistle is the same so it both makes you put the cock sitting gentlemen into the context of the original song - more brooding and bluesy which contrasts more with the parody lyrics and the whole genre itself. It's absurdity.

Oh my God. The cringe as Gervais goes for a high five but everyone ignores him

Ricky's the guy who owns the apartment building and invited himself to the party but the rest don't want him there and he's annoying everyone by trying to fit in

>Brian Regan
Amen. He's incredibly underrated.

here's some

>louis walks onstage dragging his 2 preteen daughters with him while theyre sobbing
SEE THESE 2 LIL BITCHES HERE? THEY HAVE EVERYTHING HANDED TO THEM! THEY DONT KNOW HOW HARD THE BLACK MAN HAS IT IN THIS SOCIETY THESE *WHITE* LIL ASSHOLES
>the girls are crying and begging louis to let them go
SEE THIS? THEY WANNA GO! THEY CANT EVEN RECOGNIZE THEIR PRIVILEGE! TALK ABOUT SUPERIORITY COMPLEX!
>the girls are uncontrollably sobbing at this point and begging their dad to let them go as a mob of african americans has gathered in front of their stage stroking their dicks chanting deep-jungle african tunes
FUCKING TAKE THEM!
>louis throws the kids into the black mob
*WE* TOTALLY DESERVE IT! *WE* ARE CIS-WHITE PRIVILEGED HETEROSEXUAL MALES AND FEMALES AFTER ALL!
>louis's phone rings and its his accountant asking him if he should put "mexican jewish" as his ethnicity in his forms cause thats what his papers state
NOT NOW DAVID! IM TRYING TO MAKE UP FOR 200 YEARS OF OPPRESSION HERE! GOD!
>louis unzips his pants gracefully and eagerly spreads his asshole for the bulls, unfortunately no one takes advantage of him as theyre too busy devastating his kids's orifices

Can someone please explain where the louis C.U.C.K meme came from? did he talk about cuckporn in some interview or something?

this, please answer.

Just like Jim Carrey, one of the greatest actors of all time. They just crack me up!

i think it's just because he talks about white privilege a ton

i will answer, but only because dubs:

louie ck is ethnically a hungarian jew, yet he roleplays as a white hispanic, advocating the destruction of all white people. He also made statements like :"i would have sucked jimi hendrix's dick" (i can't remember the other quotes of the top of my head but there are many more). Furthermore in his Horace & Pete show in one of the episodes ( i think episode *) there is literally an interracial breeding grounds scene. There are also rumors that when blacked.com was hacked it was revealed that louie ck was spending a lot of money on their videos.

thanks dude, i just assumed 4chin hated him because he's popular but with context it makes some sense.

At the end of that song Otis Redding (or someone) whistles the melody of the song. I think it's funny, or at least to me, bc - okay you got the "clever" sittin on the cock joke out of the way- are you gonna commit to this awful joke to THAT extent. All the way to the end?
