A tattoo is just another way of saying, "I am a shallow, vapid attention-whore" without actually having to say it.

If your tattoo serves as a "memory" of the deceased, you're only causing yourself anguish. Memories were meant to fade. The brain has evolved that way, for a reason. If your tattoo expresses an opinion, then know that an opinion should only be expressed (a) from the mind (b) from the heart or (c) not at all.

Adding to that, people who have their body degraded with tattoos are far more willing to have their body degraded in other ways. After all, "I've come this far. Why not experiment a little-further?" Such people will turn to recreational drug use and, in the more extreme cases, steal from family, friends and strangers alike to feed their disgusting, utterly selfish habit.

Virtually every tattooed person I know is a professional of some kind, including lawyers, nurses, vets, various small business owners, tradesfolk, film industry folks (full union, not wannabes) and so on.

It's more that a traumatic memory is harder to shake because you're more likely to survive future similar events if you remember the details and go over what you would do differently.

PTSD actually kept a lot of people alive at some point and still keeps soldiers and similar alive today, which is why it's a thing.

That the death of a loved one brands so deeply is that if you lost a kid or a mate back in the day it'd help your genes survive to continue on if you prevented it in the future and any close attachment is treated the same for that purpose.

I know that OP is trolling, but he's actually right. I work in hr. We almost never hire anyone with a visible tattoo. It doesn't automatically disqualify you, but if it comes down to 2 candidates for a position, the one without the tattoo always gets it. Maybe it's just an affirmation bias, but we seem to have more problems with people who have tattoos. They tend to use drugs more often, miss more days of work, cause more disputes and perform worse in general. Tattoos are basically a reflection of your bad life choices.

I get the shitty fucking jail house and basement tattoos but most professional pieces are works of art and take copious amounts of skill that you clearly have no clue of reply to this or your mother will die in her sleep
