In 10, 15, or 20 years, who do you think will be talked about as the most influential artists of the 2010-2019 decade?

Yeah, thats right its Kendrick Lamar. Dude is special.
Never understood why people liked Kendrick's music so much. It just sounds like nigger shit.
Check "how much a dollar cost"
Unironically Lady Gaga
Kendrick has a lot of qualities. Also maybe joyner lucas might become more influential.
lil pump
PLINI
you better check it out now
Kanye, Kendrick, Drake,

Gotta give it to Kendrick. He is a true genius.
Still Radiohead
Hillary
Whats appeal of Drake? Im serious. That nigga doesnt have any good song in my opinion. Zero depth to his bars.
Tay tay. Not even joking.

There you go.
They'll talk about how shit of an era it was for mainstream music. It'll be looked at like the Nickleback of decades. The best music of this era is on SoundCloud and being made by people like me and you in their basement. I'm not kidding. They probably won't talk about that tho. Forgotten gems.
Vic chesnutt.

Some corn ball with little talent and no soul, rhyming over some mediocre over produced beat. That is who the normies have been told to obediently love, some dumb nignog with a 9th grade education. Meanwhile this fat dude would lyrically smash, out talent, and out perform any of these big name lames, with no smoke and mirrors.
Iggyyyyyyyy
Diplo/Major Lazer/Jack U
He/they had a bunch of huge songs.
That actually blew me away.
Kendrick ofc but I expect a lot from earl sweatshirt hope he'll blow up
he's overrated garbage just like Twopac and Big boy smalls
plus the fact they made other good small time people a lot more famous, Dj Snake, Mo, Alunageorge etc.
Why are WH*TE people, the biggest and most glorious race in the world, listening to some kind of monkey smashing beat instead of real music?
Not a single meaningful musician has emerged this decade. Someone like fucking Ed Sheeran or Skrillex shit will be remembered as the most influential act. If you doubt me, let's list every single new thing in music since 2010:
> Dubstep became big for a few years then died
> Mainstream pop gave up pretending to have talent and got some little ginger cuck to write every fucking song
Any actual talent was ignored, not that there was much anyway
Kill yourself
this
>shit voice for rap
>bad flow
>screams a lot
>cant sing for shit
>nas tier hooks
Idgaf about lyrics if the dude sounds like shit.
For most rap fans its been refreshing to see a good rapper like Kendrick getting famous, after having average rappers like Kanye and Lil Wanye etc. getting all that attention a few years back.
Though thats maybe led to a bit of overzealous fans
He just needs to drop a full length lp.
trips wasted on shit tier b8
nice one

Jelly-jelly so much?
Either you're a fucking BLACK NEGRO MONKEY, or even worse, a WHITE C*CK?
Kanye.
I think it's pretty sad to say not in the much of rock. Of course, we'll see people calling Taylor Swift super influential, in the same way that Barbra Streisand and Frank Sinatra were influential. They help redefine pop, but they aren't really musically that influential. And I can't think of too many rock artists of this decade who are really making any major moves. Last decade we had Rage, SoaD, Linkin Park... What's this decade? The Killers, except they were more last decade? Portugal. The Man? Walk the Moon?
Weak showing for influential rockers. There are great musicians no question, but not that much in the way of influential great musicians. There are just too many artists out there
>Frank Sinatra. They help redefine pop, but they aren't really musically that influential.
Are you retarded? the beatles and the stones were pop music too you nigger. Are they not influential?
Yeap you got that right. Who do people recognize nowadays? This guys or Frank Sinatra.
I'm saying Taylor Swift is more of a Frank Sinatra than a Beatles or Stones. Popularity and influentialness are different, but not mutually exclusive.
2nd on Ed Sheeran.
If you ignore the boring love songs which are nothing new. Watch his live performances, he's absolutely kills it with the loop pedal.
No, you said that Sinatra wasn't really musically influential, when he is probably in the top 10 of most influentials artists. How delusional are you
yeh love him or hate him. you gotta agree the gayfish was influential
Take your own advice honestly
I don't think of him as influential. I can't think of terribly many artists that are still around and popular that were influenced by him. I could be wrong.
Wayne will rap circles around Kendrick bar for bar, and Kanye is one of the best producers of all time. You're just some faggy kid who thinks you're "woke" and Kendrick is "woke" and oh shit, he's the goat cause he's a social justice warrior like me... Kendrick is BLM tier garbage ruining some otherwise really good trap/jazz beats by my boy Kamasi
yeh agree Frank was a big fucking deal -in his day-
however almost the day the hippie 60's started, all those guys fell to the way side.
Also I would even put Elvis higher that Frank Sinatra from that era, in terms of influence
Ill admit I don't know lil Wayne enough to pass judgment, but there's no denying he had some average raps out there.
Yeh Kanye might be a decent producer but the guy is a fucking terrible rapper compared to the greats
Unfortunately, "Kendrick Lamar" one of very few "rappers" I've heard about. Rap is terrible, but for some reason Sup Forumstards and normie trash love it.
Among the music crowd, probably someone like Damon Albarn, or Kendrick. In the more mainstream scene though Ed Sheeran or Sia, or shit like that.
Pink Guy definitely
that sounds like shit lol
I can't think of any popular composer emulating Bach today. Weird
Yea, Elvis was just too big. But Sinatra was also huge, his sales were not that big because his peak was in an era when vynil records were not as popular. Still his sales are unmatched for an artist in that period.
Whats not well known about Sinatra was the fact he was the first big time artist to really work with the microphones of the day, playing them like an "instrument". By that I mean we all recognise it today when a singer brings a microphone real close and they you get a more "in your head" sound, and when they belt out a massive vocal part they hold the microphone right back so as to not blow it out. That sort of control used to be very useful as there was little to no backup tech, like there is today to balance out the dramatic volume changes.
This tech was relatively new but Frank was the first singer to really under these dynamics and it stood out to the listener of the day
Lady gaga for her bizarre originality. No nigger hip-hop trash that's for sure which is only cloned shit from LL-Cool J or Run DMC back in the late 80's.
generally speaking anyway, i'm sure other singers were also figuring this stuff out
can someone help me find this video
Listen to me, I'm not trolling. Out of all the new school "punk rappers" , "mumble rappers" whatever you wanna call them it's XXXTENTACION. He makes 1-2 min throw away cuts right now but he's only 19 and has so much time to grow! "Pending legal issue" instagram.com
Waiting for someone to mention Danny Brown, he's an absolute legend
probably kanye and kendrick
drake doesn't have bars because hes not a rapper, hes like a pop artist that collabs with rappers and makes catchy music for basic white bitches
Kanye is already acclaimed for the 2000's but I wouldnt be surprised to see some of this 2010's works hit the spots.
Kendrick Lamar's lyricism and ability to tell a story with an album is 100% what sets him apart from other rappers and is what will guarantee him a spot in the history books.
Honestly, i could see it cause of her stage presence.
As much as I would love to see Skrillex/Diplo/Jack U make the books, I don't think they would for the fact that only one song of theirs at all reached mainstream (Not including Major Lazer just cause all Diplo did was the beat)
As much as I cant stand Sheeran, the amount of pussies he's made gush will definitely secure his spot.
Please for the love of god let Pink Guy/Joji make an impact on the music industry.
lil' wayne
He's gonna have a great year, dedication 6 reloaded is fucking fire
