A new single off the album was just released at midnight, so time to hear Sup Forums's reaction if this song is a hit or miss.

I liked it better than the last two

This isn't terrible. In fact I kind of like like like it. Hell of a lot better than the new Sophie.

So far, I do like that she's doing some experimenting but to an extent. I enjoyed some of the rhythms off the previous two singles, but as a whole they feel lackluster to previous top hits. This one though on initial listening seems to have done a better job from the previous two. We'll see how I feel in a couple of weeks after the radio stations overplay it, but the flow seems much smoother if I have to endure it 50 more times.

Don't forget one of the best songs off 1989 was never a single. Less than a month to go.

sounds like a carly rae outtake lmaoooooo

But Style became a single though

I said one of , not THE best

Flop, she's over!

It's honestly shit. What is she doing?

must be a very new track because there is not a single AMV version

Thought the fans would be faster then that, oh well, how about a classic?

Real talk, I'd be fucking bitter too if he pulled that shit on me

better than Look What You Made Me do
but worse than ...Ready For It?

Jack Antonoff is a fucking hack

I MET THIS GIRL WHEN i WAS 3 YEARS OLD

1/10

Lol he didn't even write/produce this particular song...

Oh, never mind then

Finally a decent single off the new album

Hope it becomes a hit, it deserves to way more than LWYMMD, and I'm glad Ready For It flopped.

I like it more than the last two singles, but for fuck sakes, this All the money and resources in the world, and they come up with a Carly Rae B-Side

Clean?

sweet song about jake gyllenhaal

Tay tay does it again

She is too good for this world

I like the song, I don't think the album is going to be better than red or 1989 but I like that it's different. She could have played it safe by making another 1989.

>sings song about male beauty
>mentions blue eyes
>in the current year
Taylor is a Nazi confirmed

Really really boring

I liked it

much better than LWYMMD

Its the least shit one but its bland as fuck sounding

the songwriting is complete shit

>I got drunk
dropped

catchiest one yet, melodically and lyrically
reputation is shaping up to be the best female pop album since pure heroine and true romance
3 weeks left, which means that we're probably getting another one (official 2nd single?) before the album's release
carly wishes she had taylor's pop personality, hooks ánd adlibs. it's not even close. everything she does is basically an unpolished 1989 demo anyway.
true but this is textbook max martin (and shellback), the one and only.
the teen pop masterpiece: how you get the girl

that instrumental sounds like something from wii sports meets a mid-late 2000s youtube original song
what happened?

it's just so...mundane
this is just makeup tutorial background music lmao
our taytay's gone lads

>you make me so happy it turns back to sad

and people have the audacity to praise her lyricism

1989 was full of terrible lyrics as well.

apt observation, it really does sound like youtubemakeuptutorial-core

just noticed that this lyric video has been uploaded to her vevo account
so that means this is the 2nd single after all
i expected it to be less promo track sounding, but a nice lil pop fluff will do
lyrically, she's about being effortless, catchy and quotable now
not into making her lyrics sound credible or deep (which is a good thing because she can't)
and when people praise her lyrics, they probably mean the ''old'' and ''country'' taylor
this
doesn't always have to be a bad thing

None of these three songs has been catchy at all. I want some bigass fucking pop hooks, Taytay

why is he so fucking gorgeous

"I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex I made that bitch famous" thats the only line referring to it that I know of

I want to hear a choir version of this a la Invisible.

Wikipedia says it's the second promotional single from the album.

I've never seen a female pop artist peak this hard

I can't tell if she's making fun of Cosmo, Gawker or Vox.

Best of the tracks so far, but still shit.

*Braps*

I was really, really disappointed that this wasn't a straight cover of Kanye

braaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaps

report and hide shill threads

So goooood, Tay Tay is queen!

>tfw it's Tay o'clock again
Awwwwww yes.

this boi knows what's up

This is fuck awful.

>tfw this is my OC from a year ago and it's the first time I see anyone using it

*listens to Halsey once*

terrible. how does someone as big as her have such terrible lyric writers?

nah, Carly exceeds Taylor in virtually every way. Even with the money behind Taylor's name, they can't even make a good ripoff. Sad.

>reputation is shaping up to be the best female pop album since pure heroine and true romance

lmao, I almost feel sorry for you.

He didn't lie

she's not singing about him

This exact beat is used in fucking 90% of pop songs, and it's horrible. Any random thot popstar could sing this and get moderate airtime

At least Look What You Made Me Do was fun in a stupid way

I truly believe that's his opinion, it's just a shit opinion is all.

art angels fan?

no, Grimes' only good album is Visions and even still I wouldn't consider it among the best.

oh come on guys

is this what you do to feel better about yourself?

This might be the best track from RepuTAYtion so far but it's still like winning in paralympics.
Maybe I expect too much from her, maybe I just want a follow-up to 1989, which I really liked(I even went to the concert) but I really think this is not the case. I have yet to hear a good single from Taylor this year, everything from I don't wanna live forever to this song was really disappointing for me, none of these singles is interesting nor especially catchy.
There were plenty of better singles from female mainstream artists this year: Lorde, Dua Lipa, Charli XCX, surprisingly also Selena Gomez, Camila Cabello, Zara Larsson... heck, probably even Katy Perry recorded something more innovative and her song with Calvin Harris is catchy AF.
Of course whatever Taylor releases is going to sell a million of copies in the first week even it's a total shite due to the army of Swifties but I was hoping she will record something decent nevertheless.

What's among the best?

from female vocalists specifically? Emotion by Carly. Body Music by AlunaGeorge. Take Me Apart by Kelela. Black Terry Cat by Xenia Rubinos. FKA Twigs and Charli XCX's recent EPs were lit too. I'm probably forgetting a couple other albums.

I'm not really even disagreeing with the examples, I just don't think these Taylor singles have been that promising.
