Shit plebs say

>band releases a bad album
>t-the band is just evolving into new sounds! it's still a good album, just different!

>why do you buy music?

"this sounds like the beatles"

It does

>Spotify is good enough

>why don't you listen to the radio

>user, your music is boring.

>cocteau twins is masculine

>user, your music sounds like cats fighting in an alleyway

>why does all your electronic music not have drops

...

>You don't use Spotify? How do you listen to music?

>but downloading is illegal!

This. If it sucks it fucking sucks shut the fuck up and get over it. Fucking plebs.

>I'd listen to it but it isn't on spotify

>band evolves their sound
>only their first few albums were good! everyone who likes their new ones is just pretending!

That's the shit the one's who know what's up say. You fucking pleb get out of here.

Why is Scott Pilgrim full of great reaction images?

>"Eww, you buy CDs? Just get iTunes, loser!"

>Lyrics are meaningless, if it has a catchy melody, it's good enough

>wow user why do you like this song it sucks

Uniroincally say the same thing.

>in a car
>"user your music sucks! Put on the radio so we can listen to REAL music, like Ed Sheeran!"

>This is really cool, but where's the drop?

An evolution of sound i necessary for progression.
Honest question. I get doing this for an artist you're new to. Don't want to risk paying for something you don't like. But don't you want to support your favorite artist?
The Beatles are THE most influential band of all time. Of course people are going to say this. Every band after the Beatles were influenced in some way by them
Spotify is one of the best streaming service for new music. Any hipster alternative will not be on par.
Really. Why don't you listen to the radio? Don't you want to be up to date on new music? Isn't this a music board that always talks about the new and hip?
This only applies to heavy lyric based music (singer sougwriter, rap, ect). I honestly don't see the problem with this since it's M U S I C.

You must be a real joy in social situations.

...

Because people complaining about using Spotify and people not liking their music is any better.

Haha dude shut the fuck up :D

I unironically say this. please explain why i should use anything except spotify (except the reason of it having a retarded 10k song limit).

it's cheap, has a good library and decent interface allowing for making playlists, saving albums etc. really now what better alternative is there?

same user

>paying for a service that literally gives you less than simply torrenting would
You tell me, I'm not the one wasting money on a shitty streaming service. I also buy quite a few albums on bandcamp every now and then, which is a fairly good way to support artists short of buying merch or going to gigs.

>Expecting serious replies from bait posts
Anons.......

>elevator music

plebs are more likely to find lyrics mandatory

God damn.
>go on family trip this summer
>hotel had elevator music playing
>dig that stuff unironically
>family constantly joke about the music being absolute shit

youtube.com/watch?v=yFJKlwiYhnU

I used to say some these sentences...

>up to date on music
>radio music
i don't listen to the radios because if i can't play my music then talk/news radio is better than radio garbage

when my phone can hold my library in high quality as well as download torrents for new stuff i want to checkout then it this is a good argument.

hating spotify is a meme by contrarians
I actually changed to apple music exactly because of the 10k thing but if you don't recognize the merits of streaming services, you're a fucking dumbass.
I mean I guess you can fill all your phone's storage with music and connect it to your computer and make a hassle every time you find something new, or carry an extra device around just for your music but I don't think it's worth the $10 you save a month.

>Exclusively using your phone for music listening
user...

Most people actually have jobs and don't sit home by their computer all day.

>Listen to anything harder than Iron Maiden
>"IS THAT SCREAMO DEATH METAL??? LOL HOW CAN YOU EVEN UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY'RE SAYING XDDDDD"

>Exclusively
Never said nor implied that. If you are expecting people to always stay home and never listen to music on the way then I believe the problem lies with you.

> classical music is boring

well how do you solve this problem or are you a neet. i have my downloaded library available through google play but its limited in quality so also pay for streaming. i use my phone so much more than my computer due to access and stream like 20 gigs of music each month. literally thinking streaming isnt worth the cost, especially to discover and potentially toss music, is retarded

You write a bit funny but what I gather is that 1. the quality isn't high enough and 2. it's no good for finding music.
The quality is a drawback with streaming yes but for me 320kbps is enough and if it was more then again, you couldn't save too much music on your device at a time.
And I think Google Play Music isn't that great for discovering music, they only have these radio stations which don't work for me. Spotify absolutely takes the cake there, I miss discover weekly but unless they lift that 10k library limit, I'm not gonna change back

no was asking how you deal with high quality music on the go. but if you are downloading at 320 then can do what i do with my non-flac music and upload to google play for free with access on the go. but spotify is what i use for streaming and new music cataloguing due to convenience and ability to quickly access new music on the go. your point being against paying for streaming services in favor of torrenting can be done for middle quality downloads and constant upkeep of library. however the time to torrent and upkeep a library for phone access ends up costing more in sunk time and has the problem of delayed access to music not in the library. like most people realize with netflix, 10 bucks is more than equal to the time cost to equivalently pirate content

Wait no I agree with you. I'm this guy

lol thought you were torrent guy. but my explanation covers mobile library problems while still trying to find out why that user doesn't realize that streaming is more than worth cost for mobile access/easy sampling of new music before downloading

There's nothing wrong with that, a lot of music sounds like them.

Found the pleb

I know that feel user.
My friends give me shit for enjoying elevator music.

What is the best elevator song you know

yeah with my job i was able to afford an actual portable music player

>I go on Sup Forums.

You mean a phone?

literally the most elevator of all elevator music.

youtube.com/watch?v=-pCxUCXbhMY

I'm 100% certain that nobody has ever said this

thank you

you are welcome user, i am glad i got to post. there is nothing more perfect at embodying a genre than this diddy. Ultra lounge fuzzy sampler is the great dad meme album i got this on. should be checked out for more gold like this:

youtube.com/watch?v=ngyOygdvFxY

>radio
>being worth a shit in 2017
you have the power now

Actually kinda like this. Thanks user

if you have streaming its called ultra lounge fuzzy sampler. the cd case had fur on it and pictures of like 50s-60s houses/housewives, cocktail recipes, and shit about how great it was to come home to a drink made by your wife while you recline and smoke a pipe. great atmosphere cd and the company has others too i think

another great selection

meant to reply here
see

>tfw have to explain to plebs the sonic intricacies of my field recordings of cats fighting in an alleyway

>You like some weird stuff, user.

yeah I've been there
>you like some weird stuff user
>no I don't, I just like experiencing new and different stuff
>user you once recommended an album of field recordings from shopping malls to me
I mean maybe she kind of had a point

That gets you dropped off curbside in my car, I may or may not fully stop.

>user are you listening to porn?
It was Pluto.

Sound quality isn't good enough and it doesn't have any patrician music. Use slsk retard

kek i hate this

christmas themed elevator music pls

this is a elavator-ized composure of christmas classics perfect for a waiting room or an elevator that is slow as hell

youtube.com/watch?v=AVbOwfom_4k

holy shit perfect
my man

also this is a good one
youtube.com/watch?v=AHXbnFNyTjc

and above posted is a bit exciting for elevators but is a great christmas addition to any office or infomercial

fuck there's even a part one album saw it on the sidebar

>it's not music if you can even understand the lyrics
>why is he screaming at me
>didn't you grow out of metal?

yep the series has 3-4 christmas collections. posted the instrumental i remembered but other stuff may feature lounge singers. the vibe is still there

When what.cd shut down earlier this year (may have been last year), I gave Spotify a shot. I am pretty satisfied with it.

It's nice knowing I don't need to waste space on my HDD with albums I might not like. If I listen to an album I like, I then download it or even buy it on vinyl.

>TKOL is their worst album
literally their only good one (even then it's only a 7/10, nothing exceptional)

>I hate music these days

>hanging with a couple band friends in high school
>play american football's "never meant"
>"user this sounds like car insurance commercial music"

>"What's your favourite by band x Malcolm?"
>name album
>"Haha no I meant what song"

Shit plebs say

>no i don't listen to albums

The plebs who say this also know nothing about old music, they only know the most famous songs from the most famous bands from 70s, 80s, 90s.

>This is just noise there isn't even any melody

EnterShikari.jpg

>Lol why do you listen to eurobeat it's a dead meme genre and it all sounds the same
>MFW they actually have a point but I still listen to it anyways

>when do the vocals start?
>you mean the whole album has no singing!?

>song is literally anywhere on the prog rock or prog metal spectrum
>"I'm sensing a big Tool influence"

holy shit, all that garbage.
go fuck yourself faggot

>"What IS this??"

>”why is it called post-rock? that doesn’t make any sense. why do you keep dividing music genres with stupid labels? it’s just ROCK.”

trying to explain to my father what different genres are is futile. even though he likes relatively patrician bands like estradasphere and sleepytime gorilla museum/free salamander exhibit

he fucked with talk talk tho so

Considering Pablo Honey exists, I will never take anyone who says this about any of their albums seriously.

>tfw my friend joked about me being autistic about genres when i said i like post-punk and shoegaze

>Random Access Memories

shit this was me in high school, the guy I told it to just laughed and said he liked these types of music

I feel bad for judging him now that I know better than to shit on other people's tastes for being different than mine
