He is probably gonna die soon

Hopefully very soon

haha epic

He is probably gonna die soon
pls don't Brian :_:

Brian Wilson dies Christmas Day
Bob Dylan dies Boxing Day

...

he'll die when some poor family in a farm shack ends up getting murdered suicided. his heart is like a horocrux of midwest tragedy.

Dylan is going to make a major comeback. At least three consecutive #1 albums by 2020. Screencap this post

he said years ago he can't write songs anymore, that's why all his most recent stuff has been covers

I can't help but think Triplicate will be his last studio album. He's 76 and a long time smoker. It's a beautiful ending anyway.

No doubt some amazing Bootlegs still to come though. If Chronicles 2 is to ever appear it will likely be posthumous.

But Tempest was good?

i agree, what's your point?

I think user is getting mixed up. He's said he doesn't know how he wrote his older songs and doesn't write that way anymore, like they were delivered from a higher power.

I think Bob might be manic depressive. I may be projecting but it makes sense looking at a lot of the themes in his music and his personas.

>and a long time smoker
How is this relevant?

Believe it or not smoking has been shown to reduce one's life expectancy.

You don't actually believe this, do you? Plus he's closing in on the average American male life expectancy anyway

You believe repeatedly combusting a material and inhaling it into your lungs doesn't harm you? I'm a smoker myself too.

Anyway, my point being is that with his age and lifestyle odds are he is not going to be someone who reaches an antediluvian age.

Wrong, Jeff is next then Bob

>Boxing Day
THIS IS THE STORY OF THE HURRICANE

THE MAN THE AUTHORITIES CAME TO BLAME

FOR SOMETHING THAT HE NEVER DONE

hes got another xmas album up his sleeves

I'm not gonna joke, I think this is a perfect ending. Just like how Blackstar, 77 Rusty Trombones, You Want it Darker, Lulu, The Laughing Apple (hopefully it's his last ). I feel like these all have that book closing feeling that end their respective careers.

Also I'm so pissed Van Morrison dropped that new album this year, Roll with the Punches is so much weaker and less of an ending than Keep Me Singing.

>Tfw Jeff outlives all the other Wilburys

He had it planned all along

Is Jerry Lee Lewis going to outlive everyone?

i know who'll be one of his pallbearers

HOLY SHIT GUYS CHECK THIRDWORLDS

Every album of original songs he's made since Time Out of Mind has been among his best. Tempest and Modern Times in particular are top 5 worthy.

>Start w/ a career covering folk music
>End career w/ covers of Great American Songbook songs
>Top Kek

Wait what? People doubt that smoking is harmful?

Dylan could hit 90, sure he smokes but if he was gonna develop COPD it would have happened by now. More importantly he lives an active lifestyle and has never had a weight issue. That's really what will kill you, more than anything.

>he dies
>everyone everywhere plays his shitty music on end

has anybody seen him perform recently? man his voice is sounding rough these last few years

PUT HIM IN A PRISON CELL BUT ONE TIME

I've made my peace with it I think. I just hope I can see him one more time before he dies

Of course I wish I had Dylan's songwriting talent, money, fame, so on, but what I'm really jealous of is he got to stick it in Joan Baez

user be honest your jealous of anyone sticking it in anything

I wish Bowie coulda stuck it in me
Also great pic, saved
Kek at filename

bob probably stick it at Emmylou Harris too.

You could say he's knockini on heaven's door.

>claims he has sold his soul
>heaven
That boy is going straight to hell to the devils techno rave where his ears will bleed for eternity

He will die first so could Bob write nobel prize worthy eulogy for him

I honestly can't picture the man who wrote knockin on heaven's door going to hell. It's too beautiful a song sorry.

jews don't have souls

that song was for a movie where main character was killing devout christians

no1 care
thats not the point

dylan was starring in it

>a higher power
Yeah, a shit ton of LSD. Honestly, what do you think Mr. Tambourine Man or A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall are about?

I'm not daft user, I am paraphrasing. I think I there is far more to it than just LSD (not a higher power though) but acid was a major contributing factor at the time. Visions of Johanna and Stuck Inside of Mobile ("Texas medicine") are very acid inspired. He more or less admits in Sara that Sad Eyed Lady is too ("I took the cure").

Well yeah, he was also inspired by dramatically shifting social paradigms and politics. It was basically political music on acid and then he decided to go country, which wasn't very bad, and then he decided to go gospel, which was sometimes terrible and other times decent, and then he decided to go back to country and write some Shakespeare into it, which was mostly pretty good, and that's where he is today.

Why was Bowie's hair always so great? Having great hair is half of life's exam passed.

What I meant by the manic comments is about writing complete original songs in fifteen minutes, not knowing where they come from. I have had this myself and know how it feels. It sounds like mania.

But yes, the climate at the time and all the avant garde and unusual goings on in Greenwich Village no doubt played their parts and he acknowledges that frequently.

to make up for his ugly faec

bowie was left handed?

Mods ban this faggot!

Imagine if they both died on Christmas

>believing in god

>le all songs are about sex and drugs opinion

Nobody said all songs or that they are even about acid, but it's definitely an influence.

Don't jinx it you fucker. But yes
