soundcloud.com/ilovetang >Dream pop, powerpop, alternative Got a show at The Piston in Toronto, Canada. Come on down on December 21st for a fun night of local music for only $5! Rec Very nice songwriting, hope you get some more followers!
>original composition influenced by Medieval and Renaissance music >first half is ensemble-based with recorders, lutes, drones, and percussion, second half is a lute duet >currently working on album with elements of progressive rock, folk, and early music
Just listened to "Permanent Winter". The mixing is pretty bad, this sounds like some sort of bad karaoke. Backing music is too quiet, the stereo panned double-tracked vocals are off-putting and they have far too much bottom end. The overall song itself isn't very interesting, there aren't any elements in the song that I can really grab onto and enjoy. Just sounds like a throwaway dance track, like the Chainsmokers.
Just listened to "Deep Space Nine". Pretty good stuff, I like the songwriting. The mixing and production is a bit weak, but that isn't really detrimental to the song. I like the little psychedelic bit at the end too. "Someone Else" is also pretty good too. You guys seem like a really good live band based on your material, but I would recommend paying a professional to do the mixing and mastering for you. I think with a cleaner and higher quality production you could be great rock group since you already have the songwriting and performing chops.
Hey Dylan, good to see that you've got a new song out. Like usual, the lyrical material is somewhat unorthodox and unpredictable (in a good way), which is one of your strongest factors as a songwriter. There's always a sense of mystery surrounding your songs, I can never guess what they're going to be about before listening. Your voice is getting stronger too. Keep it up.
>I would recommend paying a professional to do the mixing and mastering for you That's actually our plan for the summer, we have a bunch of new songs we're gonna record for our LP. Our tentative title is "Suburban Escape Sountrack," we're gonna make a more personal record that hopefully shines brighter than our EP so thank you for the support and we hope to make something better with more time put into it
Lmao I only listened to the first track because it was so awful. You can't understand a thing the singer is saying, everything is so distorted its impossible to tell if the playing is even good or bad, this is just some generic trash noise rock trying to masquerade as something different and mysterious. This would sound a lot better if you stuck to your shitty local bar scene.
>i dont know what to call this genre >a little rappy >a little triplet-esque >its raining outside.

mumbling into a mic because you cant be or are too shy to be loud, and then turning that up to overpower any instrumentation you have sounds like shit.

same thing everyone is doing and not as good.

tite wolf boy is cool reallly wanted to hate this rly vibe w this
I use Renoise but I'm thinking of moving ot a sequencer as I've moved to make more downtempo/ambient, Ableton or FL? Which got the best automation for filter/effect chains?
Jacob Rodriguez
Nice rythm. Next step would be use of a compressor and limiter to make sound more lush.
In that case I'd say maybe listen to every other song on the album because the vocals are better heard on those then on the opener. Sorry that you feel that we sound like a bar scene band, hopefully our LP has a better impression on you then the EP did.
soundcloud.com/rumekover/sets/lilith this isn't me, but it feels criminally underrated. he's from the same province as me (nova scotia) which seems to have trouble supporting young artists. I just want to get this dude some exposure

rec good calming stuff where idm and black metal meet?!?! in sc in sc top quality math rock gj man holy shit, man, this is nice. I wish you'd spend a bit more time mixing on your bandcamp tho seen you before, good stuff as always
I find it kinda dark and heavy, like the white noises and voicings...had you thought about adding a 808 ? or maybe the 808 is obfuscated by the noise ? The snares and kicks are very good, percursion is on point too
if you like vocals like xxxtentacion or shit like that try my shit, its not recorded in studio yet bu I would appreciate feedback on the lyrcis and flow
