>I'm excited because the last time I grew triops was when I was really young

>I put them on my nightstand next to my chair and put a flashlight so it shines in the tank

>No problem
>I get a water heater from my old betta fish that died a few years ago
>Everything is set
>Now we wait
>Directions stated to feed them only one pellet
for every 2 triops I see
> FF 2 days later
>I see about 6 itty bitty tiny triops in the tank
>Almost unnoticeable
>I drop in 3 pellets
>FF 3 days later
>Very minimal growth came from the triops and 4 more triops came into view totaling 10 triops
>5 pellets dropped in the tank
>FF a week later
>Still almost no growth, but more baby triops
>Almost 20 at this point
>I get a thought that the water isn't warm enough for them
>Call up friend and ask if he has a heater
>He says he does have an extra one and he can give it to me
>Drop by his apartment on the other side of town on the same day
>We go out for lunch at Subway and chill at his place a bit before I head out
>Got home that evening and installed the 2nd heater
>No problems
>FF a week later
>Much over 20 triops at this point
>Still no major growth but its noticeable
>FF days later
>Over 50 baby triops at this point
>The biggest ones are about 1cm long
>I can't keep up with feeding them
>I look back at the directions of how to grow the triops
>I noticed something that I brushed over
>"Triops eat eachother, you may end up with few triops or one large triop"
>Holy Fuck
>FF today
>I haven't fed the triops in 4 days, I usually feed them every 2 days
>I now have a tank with 50+ triops
>Let the games begin
