Is anyone else fucking destroyed that they will never be able to live in the 80s...

Is anyone else fucking destroyed that they will never be able to live in the 80s? When I think about the fact that I will never be able to live in that decade I want to slit my fucking wrists. Literally everything about that decade is better, the music, the hangout spots, the fact the technology was good but not so good that its taken over my life, the fashion, the cinema, fucking everything.

The 80s sucked balls. The 70s were much better. Take it from somebody who's lived through both decades.

get over faggot 80s sucked ass

just watch an episode of stranger things, thats the same thing.

The 70s look amazing aswell but the 80s appealed to me most

Watched it all :’(

Protip: Nothing today is stopping you from using 80s technology, listening to the music, watching the movies, it's probably much easier and affordable these days too, knock yourself out.

I listen to the music and watch the movies but the tech is a bit of a necessity nowadays

You could live without it, you just dont want too.

go back to drinking bleach faggot you would be snorting crack in the 80s wishing a girl would talk to you

There was nothing good to watch on TV, the economy was shit, hope you like smoking, no good weed, but hey, the kids toys were amazing if you liked amazing commercials.

In actuality until NES came out there wasn't anything to do.

...

what about Dallas?

This here is right, it was all about making up for what technology lacked with your own imagination. A good start is lots of 80's kids at some point would draw a design for the underside of a skateboard, or for a surfboard or whatever. Just let the tech go for a day.

What about Pitfall.

Yeah, but I prefer the 70s.

Back when you could fight people and not go to jail. I wish I was a teenager in the 70's and 80's. But I'm glad I got the end of the non-digital era. We truly were the last generation to ride bikes outside. That's the biggest thing about stranger things that gets to me.

>high horse

What ?

Get off the high horse. Kids still ride bikes outside. Hell, I got friends who still do it.

It still exists faggot, it's not trapped in some time portal.

I lived through the 80s. They were a decade like any other. Music was pretty good though.

80s were pretty shit to be honest, the only somewhat good part about them was that girls had better boobs because of the way bras were made, and girls could have big tits without being a hamplanet
>Kinda sucked to be an assman tho
>back then flat asses were the norm and most women did everything they could to keep em small

I was there .. Young people are dumb .. Live in a world I dreamt of back then .. with Star Trek like Alexa interaction and iPads and porn without having to drive to the dirty tape aisles

some highlights for you, riveting stuff.

what about it. Not like game shows are the highlight of modern tv either.

What about them? Gameshows were maybe the highlights, too bad they were only on in the afternoon and were over at 8, THANK GOD FOR WHEN THE SIMPSONS WAS INVENTED!

How retarded are you from lead fumes and lead paint?

IKR? Snatching kids & getting away with murders was soooooo much easier in those days.

I deleted my post because bored, but in answer - not at all. Two degrees, one first class honours, career in engineering.

Typical

The real good thing about the 80s was the metal and the fact nobody liked faggots.

I also used to blow out the dust from brake drums when there was asbestos in brake linings and paint my own cars in a non-ventilated garage using cellulose thinners - the hairs in my nose would be coloured the same as the car. Yet here I am, fit, healthy (just slightly high cholesterol), well-off and nearly ready to retire

The beer was shit though - all those chemical bres from the big brewers like Watney's Red Barrel and Brew XI - ugh!

>the music
Better than today. Not as good as the 60s and 70s. There was a lot of pop crap and hair metal, and don't forget that's when rap took over as well.
>the hangout spots
I don't really know what you're talking about here. I think they're kinda the same, but you have a better selection of beer today.
>technology
It was good because one guy with a plan could put out a decent software application. But cable, VHS, was pretty weak. Gaming was okay but because they were motivated to make gameplay good since graphics were weaker.
>fashion
I don't know what you're smoking, but you would have been arrested for it in the 80s - unlike today when I can get primo stuff at my corner dispensary.
>cinema
Great time for action and sci-fi. Bad time for drama. Horrible time for almost anything on TV.

The 80s were my time. It was okay, but not awesome. I saw older brothers/cousins having a much better time in the 70s.

long live el duce!

Op try to watch this and not cry

VIVA EL DUCE

>girls could have big tits without being a hamplanet

I'd say overall chicks were much hotter in the 80s. I'd go to the mall and see awesome hotties ready for that night's spank bank. Today I go to the mall and it's like watching a cattle shoot - way to many fat chicks.

I think 80s hair and makeup was hotter too. Madonna-style clothes were super-hot, and tight jeans on skinny legs, but there was way too much United Colors of Beneton / Gap neon shit.

80's men's magazines
>tfw you remember when men's mags couldn't show pubes

The 80s were just strange. The 70s were great fun/

M52 here.
(If you're not strong at math, that means I was 15-24 during the 80's)
The 80's may look fun in retrospect. But it was the decade that brought us superficiality as culture and norm, made yuppies fashionable and generally started the spiral of decay and degeneracy that our Western culture has been spinning ever faster in.
Music, culture - everything - topped in the 70's

>Music, culture - everything - topped in the 70's
I think the 1970s will be seen in retrospect as the peak of human civilisation. Everything was better - music, film, TV, civil liberties (remember those?) and people were generally nicer, more relaxed and more decent.

Yes!
This exactly!
