Asking price is not the same as the price someone would pay for it.
I could put up my fork for sale for $10,000, doesn't mean anyone would buy it.
Gee, I wonder...
because people are morons. and it doesn't meant that they're actually getting bought, just that idiots who sell them for that much have been are really, really stupid
A lot of Disney films have limited releases, hence why they command higher prices. en.wikipedia.org
Prices on ebay don't stray too far from what people are willing to pay for something. Did you know it costs money to put listings!
you're an idiot
Limited releases + Remasters of questionable quality (Just look up the Sword in the Stone remaster) = high markups
I love the fact that Disney has screwed their remasters over so much that fucking VHS has made a comeback as an animation collector's format. I don't think there's a single positive for VHS over DVD but when you throw crap onto the DVD you can't really do much can you?
Mid 20 females want to fill the void in their life now that PokemonGo has died so they have all decided they MUST HAVE The Little Mermaid ON TAPE just like they did as a kid for their VHS PLAYER XD
why stop their when they can collect them all. ooh and whats that? hundreds of other normies do8ng the same? guess these are RARE XD i will put it on eBay for $200 cause its so RARE like a vinyl record and im bored with it now and ha e already uploaded a selfie of me with it #nostalgia#classicdisney#disneyprincess and some other dumb slut can buy it
are people asking hundreds of dollars, or are people paying hundreds of dollars?
this is an important distinction.
t. Hugh Mungus
Because some of them have hidden penises on the box art.
Embarrassing, delete that.
VHSfag here. Clickbait articles came up with this shit and normies ran with it.
Did you just sexually assault me?
Because dispite what PIRATEfags on Sup Forums will tell you physical media has value if you wait long enough to sell it.
A fool and his money
In about 10 years once physical copies of movies are a thing of the past and everything is done online or OnDemand, and Hollywood no longer lets you buy your own copy of the movie and instead only lets you rent them for a 24 hour period for $14.99, people are really going to regret being too cheap, and lazy to keep physical media around
I agree, and I buy physical, but 20k for a vhs? Come on.
What's really funny is that gravity is still exerting force on the magnetic tape and pulling the dust off.
Even though it's "unopened" it's still decaying second by second.
>pulling the magical VHS pixie dust off
Now search for these same sealed tapes under sold listings.
Holy kek. There is no way something isn't repressed
HOLY Fuck thank you for making this thread and bringing this to my attention. I have The Lion King from the Masterpiece Collection in perfect condition. What are the odds of someone actually buying this for good money?
0%
how does one man hate women this much
You will never have sex
because it's a comfy format and blu-ray editions are fucked up
Virginity : The Post
>no bids
From reading through a VHS collectors group, the Disney VHS $$$ asking price is literally just a meme. One person did that, posted it to the group and a few followed - soon after it artificially made the price go up into the hundreds.
I think it's also just Aladdin but I could be wrong. There are still many 90's Disney VHS' in circulation.
>Remasters of questionable quality (Just look up the Sword in the Stone remaster)
Why did you have to remind me.

Some blu ray remasters are fucking criminal.
I'll watch my old VHS/DVD copy of The Sword in the Stone over the shit, blurry, and cropped blu ray version any day.
Don't even want to remember what they did to Cinderella, and Mickeys Christmas
>mfw I have tons of these
>that one guy who thought he might make money by flipping, so he buys one for a trillion dollars but can't sell it for 1.5 trillion, so he eats it
What the fuck
>just use cut out filter it'll look good
Because Disney only opens up their vault of vhs tapes every few years.
:>)
You have a point on bandwagoners but you sound like an autistic baby
Normies don't like seeing film grain on blu rays. Disney spend the big bucks to remove film grain (and character line details) form all their important films.
Films like The Sward in the Stone which are not as important to the studio gets the film grain removed in a much cheaper way. They basically smear the image, and then they go in and re-trace the outlines which makes most Disney HD films look like shit.
Normies also don't like fullscreen when they pay for blu ray. Disney leaves classic films like Snow White alone, but other not so popular films get cropped from the top, and bottom to make it look widescreen.
But why does the itunes hd rip look so georgous?
This is fucking putrid.
I hate this fucking worthless scum society and existence.
I don't want to imagine what The Aristocats looks like, I remember there being a ton of grain and sketchy lines in that one.
>starts literally crying over cartoons for babies
this can't be real. i seriously do not believe it.
Fine detail wiped out, original colours altered. Michael Eisner is rolling in his grave.
I like the added sharpness to the blurred lines. But the colour filter or whatever the fuck it is is retarded.
>Normies also don't like fullscreen
You mean they don't like black bars. They like the image to fill the whole screen, no matter the shape of the television. They didn't like letterboxing when most TVs were 4:3 and now in the era of 16:9 TVs they can't abide windowboxing. Preddy sad and pathetic, IMO.
>blurred lines.
Well, it is a VHS being compared to a BD. They wouldn't have been blurred on the original 35mm film elements.
Hes got every right to rage. What Disney has done to most of their classic films is criminal.
This shit is criminal.
