Halloween III: Season of the Witch is the best in the entire series.

STOP IT PLEASE THERES NO MORE TIME PLEASE. STOP IT STOOOOOOOOP IIIIIIT

comfy edition

Movies I watched this October so far
>the thing
>the witch
>Halloween 1,2, ending of 3, and 4
>fright night (original and remake)
>dawn of the dead (original and remake)
>day of the dead
>zombie (awful fucking movie)
>IT
>return of the living dead 1 & 2
>trick r treat
>American werewolf in London
>pet sematary
I showed these to my gf who barely watches movies cause she's a fucking weirdo. What are some other movies that are crucial to show her today

Dead Alive is fun if you want something silly, Peter Jackson's true kino.

Evil Dead

For me, I've got to watch either halloween or the fog (originals) or it just doesn't feel like halloween.

Forgot to add that
Haven't seen that in a while thanks user for reminding me

I'm working tonight so last night I watched House and Suicide Club. Japan makes some fucking movies man.

Today I have "The Return of the Living Dead" and "Inferno". Happy Halloween!

trick r treat

marathoning all 9 hell raiser movies myself happy halloween.

#DicksOutForBenTramer

Watching The VVitch tonight. Haven't seen it before. What am I in for?

How is Wes Craven's New Nightmare? My friend keeps recommending it to me but I'm not sure if I'll like it

Its good not amazing. Takes Freddy back to being intimidating and threatening instead of just a goofball he still talks a lot and will say some shit thats funny but its more like the first movie again. Theres no 5 character archetypes each with interests that will end up being ironic death dream sequences and the whole movie is pretty meta.

It's great, 1, 3 and New Nightmare are all goat

...

Trick 'R Treat

I'm watching Phantasm V and the Elm Street Nancy trilogy tonight. Getting pizza and beer ready for it later.

It's a good movie if you can excuse Langenkamp's bad acting and the new Freddy. Otherwise it's pretty good I'd recommend it to watch with In the Mouth of Madness.

I'm maratoning 10 "terror" films, one per decade, starting in the 30's.

>The Invisible Man (1933)
>The Phantom of the Opera (1943)
>The Blob (1958)
>The Night of the Living Dead (1968)
>The Exorcist (1973)
>Lifeforce (1985)
>Tetsuo II: Body Hammer (1992)
>Scream III (2000) or Lake Mungo (2008)
>I am the Pretty Thing that Lives in the House (2016)

>Tetsuo II: Body Hammer (1992)

I fucking love that movie.

I rewatched Rob Zombie's remake of Halloween and it's even worse than I remembered.

>it's 2 hours long
>the unnecessary Michael backstory takes nearly half of the movie
>child Michael whines like a bitch and is fucking hideous
>Laurie is obnoxious and unlikeable
>Dr. Loomis is the only likeable main character
>half of the time they use music from the original Halloween and the other half of the time they use a modern score that clashes with the music from the original Halloween
>IT'S 2 FUCKING HOURS LONG

People who say "it's better than the original" deserve to be savagely beaten. Malcolm McDowell as Dr. Loomis is the only good thing about it.

This movie is just Goosebumps for teens. If you're watching it with people that love Halloween and have loved it for a while, it's fun. If not, this movie is just not satisfying.

>zombie
>awful fucking movie

Pleb detected.

THE OFFICIAL HALLOWEEN RANKINGS:

>God tier
John Carpenter's Halloween

>Good tier
Halloween II (1981)
Halloween III: Season of the Witch
Halloween H20: 20 Years Later

>Decent tier
Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers

>Bad tier
Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers
Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (both cuts)

>Awful tier
Rob Zombie's Halloween
Rob Zombie's Halloween II
Halloween: Resurrection

No not a pleb. It's so fucking boring. Jesus Christ. They spend two thirds of the movie talking about stupid shit and where her father is then they FINALLY get to the island and surprise surprise barely anything happens. Then there's a lazy shootout in that barn and then it ends. I guess the ending was kinda good, them finding out that the mainland was overrun with zombies but I don't know man this movie just didn't do it for me

>Phantasm V

That movie fucking pisses me off. The first 20 minutes start off well enough, but then it quickly descends into a barrage of godawful shooting, editing and cheap fuck CG effects. David Hartman is a hack.

Is it good? I remember liking the book and don't want to be let down

Ravager really was a total mess. It looks like it was shot by a high school student and the CGI is appalling.

I watched House with my girlfriend and we both loved it

I'm watching Hellraiser, House and one of the Argento films, can't decide beetween Tenebre and Pheomena

I always felt that 'The Strangers' was underrated. Try watching that shit alone in the dark.

Maybe it's because I'm watching it in SD, but there's some scenes that looks fine. It's the action scenes where it looks really fucking bad. It's as if Coscarelli decided he'd be better off doing the slow scenes himself while Hartman gets relegated to all of the effects heavy shit.

Hit me up with your best giallo.
Preferably some violent, slasher ones like Bay of Blood

Blade 2

>God tier
John Carpenter's Halloween

>Great tier
Rob Zombie's Halloween II
Halloween III: Season of the Witch
Rob Zombie's Halloween

>Good tier
Halloween H20: 20 Years Later
Halloween II

>Decent tier
Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers

>Bad tier
Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers
Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (both cuts)

>Awful tier
Halloween: Resurrection

Fight me.

I's was very good. Probably one of the stranger movies I've seen though.

>Blade 2
How.

>RZ's Halloween 2 that high up
Damn right I'll fucking fight you faggot. What shit taste. Everything else is alright

Fulci's Don't Torture a Duckling and A Woman i a Lizard's Skin

I think it's a beutiful film, on of the horro masterpieces of this century, and by far the best thing Zombie's ever done (Not that means much to you though)

Literally the only thing I've watched this season that's halloween related.

t. Plebicus Minor

It's a pretty good movie if you like vampires. It also has a new vampire that eats vampires Wesley Snipes plays the blade.

Lol

>Wesley Snipes plays the blade.
>a new vampire that eats vampires
Sounds interesting, tell me more.

Yeah, but the guy asked for giall... nevermind.

Opera. Fast paced rock 'n' roll murder goodness.

I've only watched the first five, but I'd put them all in Good tier and Decent tier. Nothing really amazing and nothing really bad.

It is better than you're making it out to be.

This is good.
Rob Zombie's in Great. In the trash it goes.

IT'S STILL ON CHANNEL 3

Based user. Fucking love this movie.

Kris Kristofferson plays blades step dad. He found Blade on the streets when he was a young teenager and takes him under his wings. Kris Kristofferson teaches blade to kill vampires. There is a theory this movie was based on the life of Mike Tyson.

It's not 2010 anymore.

>my wife's son is Blade

>Scream 3 despite it being the worst of the four movies
For what purpose

Overrated, if anything, if you ask me

>my wife's son

The epicest of all epic memes. My wife has a son! Holy shit that's some top tier epicness right there!

>despite it being the worst of the four movies
>For what purpose
Made in 00' decade and because I haven't see it.

I watched all 3 Omen movies. 1 is best, 3 is alright, and I could do without 2.

The Thing
Halloween
Alien
Silence of the Lambs (yes faggots, it's a horror movie)

The Mephisto Waltz (1971)

Alan Alda and Jacqueline Bissett get involved with spoopy Satanists in California in the 70s.

John carpenters horror is the only movies I can enjoy, saw the thing for the first time today and really liked it, the ending was shit though

youtube.com/watch?v=iLkqE1Pgqis

Never seen this movie mentioned here if you like comfy check this out

>Phantasm V

Well that was disappointing.

Rate my halloween kino marathon so far

>taking of deborah logan
>exorcism of emily rose
>the hallow
>sleepy hollow
>trick r treat
>tales of halloween
>halloween 3
>Terrortory
>Society
>Goosebumps
>the blair witch project
>vhs 1 and 2
>fright night 2
>the VVitch
>The Hole

I'm considering topping it off with The Void, though I haven't decided yet. Looks like a pretty decent lovecraft kino, though.

I watched about half an hour and then turned it off. And I consider myself a fan of Phantasm but I couldn't do it, it's too terrible. I'll just watch 1 and 2 again.

I like 1 and 4 the most and have a lot of time for 2 & 3, but 5 feels like a waste. Hartman was not the right person for the job and the script was lacking.

thought h20 was absolute shit tier

and halloween 4 is a good movie

I never used to like 2 because they switched the actor that played Michael but upon re-watching it, I found it to be one of the more enjoyable movies of the series.

What Have You Done to Solange? - a killer runs around shoving a knife up women's crotches and they make a family look at an xray of it

Deep Red - top Argento

Blood and Black Lace - proto Bay of Blood

>Bay of Blood
Essential napcore, my man.

Will be finishing off my Halloween marathon with Carrie when I get home and then Night of the Living Dead and Carpenter's Halloween tonight.

2 and 3 are the big dumb fun movies in the series, so I can appreciate them for that. The actor continuity is frustrating, but I can live with it.

I do think the Tall Man/Mike/Jody scenes in 3 are fucking god tier though. Nearly as good as the first film. I just wish they'd left out the dumb shit with the kid, the negress and those cartoon gangsters.

It's better than the book like every adaptation of King

Clearly you have not seen the shining

>the ending was shit though
Not a fan of downer endings or just don't like ambiguity. It's a good ending considering the genre standards...

Halloween 4 and 5 are enjoyable movies.

Fight me faggots.

>not watching Halloween 5

Full on pleb

Why is It Follows frowned upon here? Finding it pretty good so far.

it was loved until it got too popular
now its hated

Halloween is one of my favorite movies and I enjoyed the remakes.

underrated Halloween flick. Highly recommend.

It's horse shit.
The characters are all fucking bland vehicles for nebulous statements
the story jumps straight to "heres the monster, heres what it does, heres how to avoid it, go crazy" and then for the next hour it just focuses on "uh your making that up lindsay LOL quit being crazy, but I guess well investigate anyways!"

...

>he prefers the adaptions of The Shining and IT over the novels
Get the fuck out of here.

Not gonna fight you on that one.

This

>Halloween 4 not in good tier

You fucked up

Everything I've watched this month so far.

Showing spooky movies lads, House of The Devil just started on eggkara.

oops

Too bad you didn't rate them.

Why would I rate movies? That's retarded.

Should l watch Halloween with a bunch of people who thought The Witch was "boring"? That was the only film we've watched together, and l don't wanna ruin my rewatch of a film l haven't seen in years.

Which of the following do I watch tonight:
>Slaughter High
>Basket Case
>The Mutilator
>April Fool's Day
>Intruder
>City of the Living Dead

I rate your post a 2/10

Ok, I won't rate your post. I'll just not give it a heart.
