soundcloud.com/saturdaynightmonkeys >indie >guitar >singer songwriter reminds me of government plates but different, nice stuff tho, you're good at mixing
> THERES SO MANY DAMN SOUNDCLOUD THREADS, YET I MAKE Sup Forums WORSE BY REPEATLY POSTING IN THEM ALL, RATHER THAN STICKING TO ONE AND ENGAGING THE COMMUNITY IN THAT ONE THREAD-CORE
reminds me a lot of adult swim bumpers, i really enjoy the bass but the the kinda destructed production with the drums gives it such a relaxing feeling, trash is pretty wild though
if i was you i would try to complete some of those unfinished tracks and consolidate it into one release, it definitely has potential
penguin reminds me of one of the tracks from DK64 im not sure which one, maybe a little banjo kazooie too, but the more electronic elements of the tracks ground it to something more akin to like, terraria maybe? some hopoo game? very enjoyable and soothing regardless

a couple different styles on the channel. hiphop, dance, whatever. y'all are the experts on genre names, right? youtube.com/watch?v=5XFCHl_qVOk >i don't know >what to call this >there's a rap part

Hudson Kelly
Thanks my dude.
Cool video btw, did you make it? You did a good job of syncing up the voice with the video. Did you sample it from this video?
>soundcloud.com/abstrakions-1 Its, interesting. Extremely strange use of beats and drum patterns, but from a textural standpoint it sounds gorgeous. Good job on this.
the video is of her actually singing it (from the movie), but the singing you hear has been chopped and sped up. the synchronization is mostly coincidental on this one thanks for watching! maybe this is rude but im posting one more video, completely different style youtube.com/watch?v=UXDJm_dGuz4 >dont hate me guys >i wont spam again
New 'album' I'm making as I go along. Comedic lyrics and catchy choruses.
Tracks about Donald Trump, Chris Benoit, Christine Chubbuck, Petty shit with my ex-girlfriend, birds who believe in ghosts, talking to people when you're pissed up outside of pubs and much more
I think this is something that in a five or so years you'll look back on fondly. The structures are boring to me, the mixing is really bad. It's not lofi, it's bad. The clipping tracks and unbalanced levels of instruments. The melodies are nice however, got a knack for melodies that just make sense! Both vocally and with little lead parts. The voice is not strong. The instrument work is sub-par, you gotta press your fingers down harder on those stringed instruments. It seems like you haven't been making music for long however, so no doubt you'll further strengthen your ability to create solid melodies and then start to do the same the weaker aspects.
Not well versed in ambient music, not necessarily my type to an extent, but I like all of the modulation going on, the constant tweaking of the sounds that is. Pretty full and clear. But it's not my type of music.
Ah geez...
Pretty as hell. Nothing really stands out. Great chill music. I like the 32nd note kick here and there. Super repetitive, but that's okay for people who are into this kind of music. I don't really like the mixing, the contrast between the super tinny and distorted vocals with the low and lush keys is weird to me, however I can't really tell if that works for the general atmosphere of the track. It probably does.
Damn dude, solid mixing, arrangement and full sound to the overall mix. So catchy and feel good, I think you really do well in hitting what you're going for. I think the main vocal should be compressed a little more/better to push it to the front better, especially because you have a great voice and the lyrics seem to be a large part of the songs. You better be playing this shit live and getting it in front of people. Followed.
Wish it didn't take so long to develop. The sampling is okay. Pretty minimalistic and that doesn't help the track because there's nothing much to highlight.
Chase Gomez
You gotta get better at mixing because your songs deserve it. Good arrangements and interesting structures that go somewhere. Going back to the mixing, I don't get an intentional sense of lofi from these tunes, and I'm not sure if being lofi would do more good than harm for these songs, because these are widely accessible (I think) to a large audience. I like the confidence in it too! The subtle noisey aspects are great. Really enjoy how full and layered the tunes are. You better be playing this shit live too.
Buttery ass voice. Interesting find on Sup Forums lol. Could use some reverb to simulate a concert hall or small room to make it seem more intimate. Or record the natural ambiance of a room as well as upclose on the instrument.
Not my thing. I could see people digging this if it was mixed better, specifically the voices, because with this type of music that is everything. Because it just makes the first verse' voice sound even more bland than it already is. Pretty usual lyrically and instrumentally, save for the 80's sounding pads.
Super interesting. You make 6/8 sound super complicated haha. Your voice reminds me of Reznor. Really nice and unique! Could use a bit more variation sonically for myself, but that's just me.
here's a little something i've been working on for the past few days though, still a wip. i don't think i've ever written music that makes me feel more insane than this shit
> ????????????? extremely frenetic electronic music
Hey it's Gwhit. I really appreciate that, if you have a look on my profile theres a live cut of my old band doing 99 Problems with Jay-Z. I love performing live but this solo stuff doesn't lend itself to it (yet). I don't have a band who can play them but playing live is actually my favourite. Much appreciated dude.
>super lo-fi spongebob microphone >bedroom pop >noisy acoustic rock
i showed this to my friend who loves the 80s and john maus. i think he'll really appreciate it. i like it, too. very lush and textured.
holy shit LOVE like if fire on fire picked up an electric makes me wish i had a friend who played drums
Nicholas Cook
i actually 100% agree with every criticism you have and regret a lot of the rushed production, this was made very quickly over a short piece of time but probably could have been a lot more enjoyable if i put more time into it, thanks for actually listening to it and confirming some of my thoughts though
This is really good. Just a suggestion that you tone down the above-it-all irony a little bit before you end up like father john misty. those are some really catchy hooks. do you have a live band?
Adrian Myers
I had a live band but we did different songs. Like you say, the other guys werent too keen on the ironic approach to the point we actually called our first CD 'All Love, No Irony' and did i wrote sincere songs for it. We have split up and I just make these in my room now. More of hobby really.
Recc Brew who are you majn. peeps around town know you, but not your name, hardcore ha! M8 this shit rocks dude, has unexpected turns love it. Nice and grimy too. WE should play together x Great sounds, brilliant build up intense middle. And not to overbearing, good Noise album Music suites the picture a lot. Asphalt angel is a banger of a name, also wicked song.
