How to fix my country?

I'm a Serbian diaspora living in Canada. I would like to go back to my home country, but in its current state, I cannot.

Serbian people are not interested in our economy, in democracy. We worship leaders who steal from us. Our country is a corrupt slum run by criminals. We destroyed our country - Yugoslavia. We lost the war in
Croatia and Kosovo and Serbs no longer live there. Even Montenegro left us. But all we care about is getting drunk and crying and arguing
about something that happened 600 years ago. All we want to do is blame others for the misery we create. We blame Albanians, Croatians, Germans, Masons, Americans and even the Vatican! All we are good for at moment is war crimes and blaming others. And worst of all, while all the countries around Serbia are rapidly developing and improving, we are not. We have no hope to join the EU. Things look very bad.

How can I help fix my country and change the mentality of my people, Sup Forums?

You can emulate Estonian model of focusing a lot of IT. Then, if your economy becomes better, you might qualify for becoming an EU member. Tbqh, IT will be the only way. Serbia won't be able to compete with Romania, Bulgaria, or Poland because of tariff and stuff

Idk. I suggested IT cuz, as I said in , Serbia would have hard time competing with EU countries in former Soviet block by manufacturing because of tariff and regulations. Or they have to compete with India or Vietnam which will probably have a lot lower wage (and thus more competitive)

I dunno, if Yugoslavia still existed things could be cool according to how all the nostalgia fags and older people describe it. But I'm an American now and while I love my background and all that, I also love being American. I have opportunities that I otherwise wouldn't have in the exyu countries.
