If these are unironic answers then the world truly is in a dreadful state
This. It was Death Grips until they got all intrapersonal with TPTB. Last they really captured the zeitgeist was with GP, 2013, 4 years ago already holy shit.
The internet killed the idea of a single cultural zeitgeist, what are you guys trying to describe?
>Kanye is a close as it gets
Things brainlets say
You can't really know until after
Offer a better example then. If you're choice isnt rap or hip hop then you're clearly wrong. If you post some indie, rock band or something obscure and experimental you're just obviously disconnected with reality and the outside world. Death Grips did the best job of blending both mainstream and underground realities while borrowing heavily from other niche groups. A band like Death Grips was only possible in our current world. They were a clear encapsulation of the zeitgeist up to Government Plates. They were also making huge waves both critically and commercially.
They're also meme savvy

>Kanye West in 2017
Sup Forums doesn't check gets, so it's left with an incomplete picture of cultural zeitgeist.
Artistically representing the "zeitgeist" is different from being the zietgeist, no?
