These are literally never bad

Tight Connection to My Heart

Even Bob Dylan was not immune

>Hide Your Heart

I'm surprised KISS made it through the decade with only one of these songs and not until the very end.

Tell It to My Heart is an absolute banger

Neil Young had "When Your Lonely Heart Breaks", "Life in the City", and "Crime in the City". :^)

Ahhh that post chorus choppy synth lead is my jam.

>it's an "80s revival band"

Why was this decade so unbelievably shitty?

Probably had to do with MTV.

Why was 90's so much better then?

*90's MTV

The mid to late 80s particularly was a time when mainstream artists were virtually barred from being able to do anything on their own--everything had to be engineered for MTV and based around cliches. Put on lots of spandex and get Desmond Child to write you a hit. Lots of old 70s veterans like Aerosmith, Heart, and Alice Cooper also succumbed.

One of the worst examples was how the Bangles were forced by Columbia to abandon their retro-60s pop rock sound in favor of MTV bullshit like "Walk Like an Egyptian".

Golly, this thread makes me glad Jimi Hendrix and John Lennon never lived to see the Reagan years.

Not even the Bryan Adams one?
