Angry autodidact who uses learning as a defense mechanism. Probably cool, but horribly afraid of disapproval.
You've probably been friends with almost-racists who nonetheless looked out for your well-being.
You remind me of a gaping emotional void.
Well off?
yes
The whole album of Unknown Pleasures?
>The whole album of Unknown Pleasures?
disorder, day of the lords, shadowplay the most.
also turn on the bright lights by interpol is a fantastic bass album to play along
Thanks, I'll try that out.

Any hardware synth people on here? Image is not of my system but same case. Also ms20, dm12, and mpc2000.
I have a roland fp4f, my favorite thing to play is either Bach's english suite in A minor, or the first goldberg variation (not the aria).
This muscular barroque keyboard music is so damn fun to play, i cant tackle music much more difficult than this yet. I always end up giving up midway some fugue because the thing just gets too complex, and i cant play the voicings good enough to satisfy myself
I have been playing for 4-5 years
Still don't have any intellijel.
Probably going to get a rainmaker or plonk soon
hell ye
yamaha pss 480
synthpop, run it thru distortion and increase modulation and get some sicc synthpunk

Unironically make music using a casio lk use it for composition and as my main midi controller lol.
>probably jealous modular nerd angry that he spent $3000 on eurorack and can't produce a decent song while actual musicians are making music with kid's toys
hahahaha fag
No pics on my computer but here is my modulargrid: modulargrid.net
I use this along with OP-1 I used to have an analog four as well but I sold it. Hoping to get my hands on a digitakt soon.
Post ur music eurorack friends I'd love to take a listen.
Warwick Corvette Standard.
Funky basslines and jazz mainly
Started playing guitar two weeks ago, learned some basic chords and a few tunes. I can play scotland the brave, battle hymn of the republic, march of the british grenadiers and now im working on dixie's land. Any other recs for a /his/fag beginner?

anything by these guys, Beirut, or really any song as long as I think it will sound good (I'm pretty good at arranging songs by ear at this point)
Have you learned the remove kebab song?
I tried to back when I sucked just starting out, but I could probably learn it now
You must complete the cycle
Does cold mac become less obtuse through use? I get the idea of using it for patch surveillance, but every other function just seems needlessly cryptic.

I've seen a couple others on here over the past year or so.
>using expensive instruments to make punk music

i got this funky 5 string short scale bass as a gift 2 years ago? its fun, i didn't used to play it a ton but i'm starting to pick it up again and i'm slowly improving. i like strumming along to mitski songs on it.
i picked out this synth because it's a) small enough to sit comfortably in my lap, b) affordable, and c) analog cuz i don't wanna have to plug it into my computer. i don't have it yet tho but it gets here in the mail on thursday and you better believe i'm excited about it. i wanna try playing lead stuff on it like my good pals chvrches.
some of my internet friends said they might send me one of these mics. anyway i don't have a mic right now but i always wanted to sing, so i'm taking singing lessons. i've only been doing it for about a month but my teacher keeps giving me really effusive praise about how fast i'm learning/that i have potential and it's honestly a little overwhelming. this is my favorite song to sing youtube.com
All my tunes are sitting on my hard drive. Been meaning to put them somewhere public.
>Ibanez RX series
>Let the strings settle as low as they want to and tune it to that
>Play dark fucking metal on it 24/7
best affordable analog polysynth on the market today?
Other than Minilogue? Are the analog-modeling Roland modules worth it, maybe? Or is Elektron the only practical way to go? I feel like the analog modeling modules are not gonna sound as good or feel good to mess with. I'd like a Juno-106 alternative, though…
>Yamaha digital piano
>Four years
>Jeux d'eau
i mean, if you want the best affordable analog polysynth then it's probably the minilogue... plus the little o-scope is cute and maybe useful?
>This is my wife, the Cort A4, say something nice to her

>Currently trying to learn Sailing the seas of cheese in its entirety, which has been the most fun I've had playing

Reporting for duty.
Forgot to say: my favourite thing to do at the moment is create short instrumental loops on the computer to jam over.
My FrankenJackson. Had it for about 10 years now. I normally play my own stuff 2bh but I did try to play a few Teengenerate songs. youtube.com
I have this plugin I got from thepiratebay.
>Tenor sax
>Around 7 years in total but I have been back for one year after a massive break
>Autumn Leaves and other jazz standards
I hope you enjoy it
Enjoy it for a couple of months and then sell it before the VCOs start going out of tune randomly. Its a known issue with this synth and it will happen to you. Get a Monologue, at least you can save the patches and has better build quality (so far) or wait for the Model D, if it ever comes out
>Yamaha piano

>Right now, classical guitar repertoire on nylon string in Kontakt and freeform jazz tenor sax solos with SWAM

thanks friendo
hmm that's one I haven't heard yet. i picked up a b-stock for like 200 buckers so i guess i won't be too upset if it's not a forever instrument but i'll watch out for it
the JU-06 sounds really really close to a Juno, except for the chorus.
But there is an analog reissue of the Juno chorus coming out as a pedal soon, which means you can run the synth thru that and it will sound 95% the same.
The JX03 and JP08 have more features but sound less like the originals (less analog) because the synths have more complicated architecture to emulate
That being said all of the above as well as the Minilogue are useless if you're a keyboard player because they only have 4-note polyphony
>better build quality
>$300 Behringer D
[skepticism intensifies]
I was talking about the build quality of the Monologue, dropped mine from a tall table and survived without a scratch. Also it feels more solid than my Microkorg, that isnt saying much but well, you get my point. The Microbrute doesnt have a gr8 build quality either, but its decent, sucks that apparently has a lifespan of 2yrs before it starts acting up.
So far I havent seen a Behringer D in the wild so cant judge, the Deepmind looks solid but it better be since its fucking expensive, the SE-02 (that everyone keeps recomending) feels cheap af, all the knobs wobble a lot. Out of all the boutiques its probably the worst offender, sucks because it seemed like a cool mono, but when I got my hands on it had to pass, no way I'm taking that crap on stage
>peavey nitro, fender strat
>playing for a year
>acid bath - the blue
Some stuff I made up because it's just a hobby at this point.
what's the deal with the microbrute build quality aside from the possible vco issue? i only heard good things about its construction
Its not bad, but not good either. First batch had keys literally flying off, they fixed that later but it's still 100% just regular plastic, depending on what you consider quality it can be a good thing or a bad one.
Its more solid than the last batch of Microkorgs (the ones that came in a silver box) that I can guarantee.
i wish i could afford one of these
>14 years
>growling bass lines
Save your money for one - it's totally worth it. I bought a smaller 25-key version used on eBay to test it out and was so impressed I went out and bought the bigger one full price straight from the manufacturer. They resale really well, too. I was able to sell the 25-key for the same amount that I got it.
recently got this, normally play a ric but this thing is NUTS, so much tonal options with the active circuit
