I can only hope so
good craftsmanship
Noise is a difficult one to review. To me this is just cassette hiss with a distortion filter. Sorry bro.
This is really interesting. Wolf Boy is like an interesting cross between hi-fi and lo-fi with some plunderphonics. Really cool stuff.

Well it was actually made with a keyboard and there are rhythms and melodies so I’m not exactly sure what you’re even hearing. Even on my phone speakers it doesn’t sound like what you’re describing. The first 5 seconds is just a hiss but if that’s as far as you get then please refrain from offering feedback
I do hear the synths but they're overtly covered by too much distortion and hiss. I like lo-fi as much as anyone but this was just too much.

My boi over here pioneering dungeon noise. Really great stuff. The Tyrant's Tower is fantastic and will probably be on several lists for top ds releases of 2017. Gonna need to buy one of those zines too

well at least it's audible to you, I was concerned based on your initial response that you weren't even hearing it properly. I guess it's all a matter of taste then, when it gets down to it. I've gotten a lot of positive feedback on that one. Regardless my next release is notably less distorted, though it's not yet complete. I try to push the lo-fi trope of dungeon synth to new extremes and I can see how that wouldn't be for everyone
>Even on my phone speakers it doesn’t sound like what you’re describing
is that because the phone speakers were already broken? kek
Other people enjoying it is great but it's just not for me I guess. I'll be interested to hear your next album though if it will be less distorted. Keep at the lo-fi angle, tape hiss and some compression is something that I always enjoy.
yeah I'll include one of my bm tapes if you do, so you can let me know how you like that. Anyway I'm surprised your latest release isn't getting more support than it is....
ok dude I'm glad you have prepared a list of generic complaints for bandcamp noise but maybe reserve that for actual generic bandcamp noise
some of my earlier demos are perhaps much more within the realm of what you'd like. This has no noise at all really, it's a split I did with a rather talented guy recently:

Not gonna lie, I've been wondering about the lackluster response to this release. I've gotten little to no feedback here or through any dungeon synth resources. But oh well.
I'll probably order that zine and tape tomorrow or the day after. Very curious what you've written up. The cover looks very kvlt.
Bellatrix and Sirius were definitely more my kind of thing so that's very cool. I like your style of composition so it's just the production that isn't my thing. You've got some real talent man.
I liked this. Reminds me of American Football.
This is my band.

We released our debut EP this weekend.
I feel like the tape release earlier on maybe already like whet people's appetites or something? Hard to say...it's definitely really well-composed and interesting so I don't really get it at all...
Those tracks are actually the other guy's but I agree they're really excellent. That Dispell project is a side project of a guy who I'd say is one of the greatest modern DS musicians. Here are two other splits of mine where again really the other folks' material shines more than mine:

This one is just me and is again a bit more cleanly produced:

But anyway I like even being able to just work with talented folks, it's quite rewarding

yooooooo digging this. good production too

Listening now. The instrumentation is on point. Especially like that fat bass tone and that it's given room to shine through in the mix. The only thing I'm not totally digging is the vocals. I do however like the vocals when a bit of a harsher inflection is used, like throughout "Lady Doom" Overall great ep.
Thanks, dough!
ty dudes, more comin soon!
cool stuff, If i were to critique anything it would be the overall groove of the instruments. I think it could be tighter. And the vocals, compared to the rest of the track, I feel they shouldn't be shouldn't be so washed out. or maybe try a different method of washing them out.
