Ice-T had a career years before even the first NWA album. I think the first Ice with a record was Dr. Ice from UTFO on the east coast but there were probably a million b-boys with an ice in their name before even that.
Cube had slightly better skills and more of his beats stand the test of time but T was the first gangster rapper and he always had conscious verses, too. Also, OG is a phenomenal album.
