bamp

Sup Forums has such shit taste. This is going to be an absolute dumpster fire of a thread.

The Beatles - Revolution 9

The Beatles - Wild Honey Pie

The Doors - The End

The Beatles - Maxwell's Silver Hammer

The Beatles - Octopus's Garden

Luis Fonsi - Despacito (.feat Daddy Yankee)

Hell yeah, my favorite 60s tune

DE
SPA
CITO

The Mamas and Papas - California Dreamin'

Let's be real, every Bob Dylan, Beatles, and Led Zeppelin song from the 60s are in the running. Probably almost every song on Pet Sounds and TVU&Nico. Those aren't nominations, just saying.

Frank Zappa - Help, I'm a Rock
King Crimson - The Court of the Crimson King
King Crimson - 21st Century Schizoid Man
The Sonics - The Witch
The Monks - Complication
The Monks - Shut Up
The Monks - Pretty Suzanne

this has to be my #1 60s song

Oh, I forgot to mention. Samefag all you want. I could give two fucks.

Fairport Convention - Matty Groves

THis

The Beatles - Let It Be

Pink floyd - a saucerful of secrets

You gay homosexual faggot, that doesn't count.

My absolute 60s jam

I'm with ya. While technically it is 60s because that's when it was recorded, it was first released on an album in 1970, which therefore disqualifies that song.

(21st Century Schizoid Man)
Approved.

Simon & Garfunkel - Mrs. Robinson

The kinks - Waterloo sunset

The Beatles - Yellow Submarine

Pink Floyd - walls

Pink Floyd - Lucifer Sam

so many samefags

also this

Well, I did say to samefag all you want.

The Zombies - Hung up on a dream

Super bump

Beatles- A Day in the Life (their best song)

Bob Dylan - Like a Rolling Stone

Frank Zappa - Son of Mr. Green Genes
The Mothers of Invention - Hungry Freaks, Daddy
nominating

Bill Evans - Romain

Heroin by The Velvet Underground and Lou Reed doing a gay voice

Did you just vote for all of the songs in my post?

The Moody Blues - Nights In White Satin

Not him, but yes, he did. It's quite normal in these threads to do that.

Also, this was me, by the way. I just accidentally clicked on the wrong name.

Approved.

Tim Buckley - Goodbye and Hello
Tim Buckley - Phantasmagoria in Two
Crosby, Stills, and Nash - Wooden Ships (Jefferson Airplane version)
Jimi Hendrix - 1983 (a merman blah blah)

Strawberry Fields Forever
Tomorrow Never Knows
A Day In The Life
Happiness Is A Warm Gun
Rain
Norwegian Wood
Here There And Everywhere
She Said She Said
Penny Lane
Here Comes The Sun
For No One
Ticket To Ride
In My Life
Come Together
Hey Bulldog
Day Tripper
Blackbird
Helter Skelter
I Want You (She's So Heavy)

Pretty much every Beatles song could be nominated but these are essentials

All of these plus
I also put forward Set The Controls For The Heart of the Sun by Pink Floyd

Yikes. I didn't know Beatles plebs were so rampant on Sup Forums

>Yikes. I didn't know Beatles plebs were so rampant on Sup Forums

You haven't been on Sup Forums that much then.

See

Seconding these. Ticket To Ride should win.

5 A.M. - The Millennium
God is Love - Marvin Gaye
Girl from Ipanema - Joao Gilberto, Stan Getz, Astrud Gilberto
Kites Are Fun - The Free Design
Be My Baby - The Ronettes
Mr Postman - The Marvelettes

Beatles should be banned from this list or highly limited for the sake of having a more interesting list. I'm not going to sit here and list every Beach Boys song, even though I think they wrote "the top songs of the 1960s."

When the final list is made, it's only going to be limited to three songs per artist, so there's not going to be a lot of Beatles or Beach Boys on the list. It's going to feature various artists.

In that case the three Beatles should be SFF, A Day In The Life and Tomorrow Never Knows. I nominate those songs, I guess.

fuck that. Octopus' Garden all day long.

The Beach Boys - Wouldn't It Be Nice
The Beach Boys - God Only Knows
The Beach Boys - Good Vibrations
The Ronettes - Be My Baby
David Bowie - Space Oddity
The Beatles - Something
The Rolling Stones - Paint It Black

(Ronettes)
Approved.

Finally, a thread I can contribute!

Janis Joplin - Piece of My Heart
The Doors - You're Lost Little Girl
Marvin Gaye & Tami Terrel - Ain't No Mountain High Enough
The Zombies - Maybe After He's Gone (+ Time of the Season)
Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band - Zig Zag Wanderer
Love - A House is Not a Motel
Velvet Underground - Pale Blue Eyes
Vanilla Fudge - You Keep Me Hangin' On
Axe - Strange Sights and Crimson Skies
Sagittarius - Song to the Magic Frog
Andwella's Dream - Cocaine
Jimi Hendrix - All Along the Watchtower
Buffalo Springfield - Expecting to Fly
The Byrds - Have You Seen Her Face
Cream - World of Pain
CCR - Fortunate Son
Dr. John - Mama Roux
Jackson C. Frank - Milk and Honey
The Kinks - Village Green
Pink Floyd - Lucifer Sam
The Who - The Good's Gone
Rolling Stones - Satisfaction + Paint it Black
Ultimate Spinach - Mind Flowers
The United States of America - The Garden of Earthly Delights
The Outsiders - Doctor

A lot, I know, but they're all worthy.

Forgot Hey Jude and Something, but yeah, this is good

>Axe - Strange Sights and Crimson Skies
Did you just make that one up?

youtu.be/fNCinDOD2E8

Ignore the title. The song came out in 1969.

That's some exceptional British heavy psych with female vocals.

Legitimately impressed.

...

I'm not impressed. By 1969, psychedelic rock and acid rock were already rampant. This seems pretty standard for its time whose only appeal may be its obscurity. Exceptionally average.

(Janis Joplin, Marvin Gaye, CCR, Time of the Season, Paint It Black)
Approved.

Is this more your style? Same band and album. This song has a really vital, primal sound to it with interesting lyrics.

Oh yes, this is much more interesting. That's actually an impressive song.

Doesn't the Sitar around 1:40 sound like dirty hippy sex?

Yeah, and the ending is so hypnotic. That's really an outstanding song.

Absolutely for Help I'm a Rock! It's one of the wildest rides of a song I've heard to this day

Velvet Underground - Sister Ray

Space Oddity by David Bowie

the yardbirds- dazed and confused
The doors- not to touch the earth
The Rolling Stones- gimme shelter
Buffalo Springfield- for what it’s worth
Bob Dylan- subterranean homesick blues

The Beatles, strawberry fields

(all)
(Tomorrow Never Knows, Helter Skelter)
(Axe - The Child Dreams)
(all)

>Simon & Garfunkel - Mrs. Robinson
