He doesn't watch foreign films

>He doesn't watch foreign films

>he calls them "foreign" films instead of just films.

I literally do pretty much only watch foreign films.
Stop assuming my nationality, cis white american male.

>quote unquote "foreign" films
Do you kiss your mom and dad on the lips too you uncultured american

America makes the best films. There's no point in watching anything else.

Alphaville
The 10th Victim
Gozu

(You)

>Not an American
>Always watch foreign films

lotta dumb froggers ITT

I just saw Let the Right One In, was Eli a dude or what the fuck? Kind of looked like s(he) was castrated

I do but only if there's a dub. I don't want to read a movie. Does this make me a pleb?

>want to watch foreign film
>too distracted by phone/computer/tablet to pay attention to the movie

How do I stop

I'm a pleb and even I'm above this

>s(he)
you tried, at least

>not giving yr grandma a quick peck hello

From my point of view American films are foreign

answer my question

Are your countries voice actors competent? Or do you prefer watching American movies as is

>people are literally so unintelligent, they can't even multitask watching the scenes unfold and read subtitles.

>he automatically thinks foreign cinema is better than mainstream cinema

It's not about intelligence. It's literally impossible to look at two places at once. When you're reading words at the bottom of the screen, you miss what's showing above, and vise versa. You can't can't fully get into a subtitled film because of this. I guess you can pause everytime someone says something, but that's stupid.

pure pleb

>kissing your nan and getting old people germs

>grandma goes in for a goodbye kiss
>head for her cheek, as any sensible person might do
>she instead grabs my face in her bony claws, then shakily aims her lips into mine

I'm glad you're dead grandma you sick FUCK

I don't agree generally, but I do w/ fast paced anime. It can be *very* difficult to read 2-3 lines and take in a shot, appreciate the art, in like half a second.

But for me american films ARE foreign films, since im not american.

I'm planning on learning Brazilian Portuguese over winter break, I'll be watching films n shit to help "immerse" myself in the language.
Any huehue films recommendations? I only know 2 brazilian movies and they're those killer elite ones.

Not a monkey, but City of God is good

>Alphaville

is this gud

Really makes the ol noggin go joggin'

Absolutely

>watching the dub
>using subtitles
>not learning the language to fluency and spending 6 months immersing yourself in the director's country to develop an understanding of the cultural subtexts and norms to inform your understanding before watching the film
whole lotta plebs ITT

I watch films to enjoy the cinematography. I can't enjoy the cinematography if I'm staring at the bottom fifth of the screen half the time.
