How does Sup Forums feel about this movie? I remember enjoying it on its original release as a 13 year old. There was cringe comedy, boobs and it perfectly captured the sex-obsessed mind of a teenage boy.
I rewatched it again recently to indulge in some nostalgia and it comes across as pretty tame by today's standards, especially when you consider that high schoolers nowadays are wearing g-strings and watching HD facial abuse porn on the regular. The webcam scene with the Eastern European girl comes across as quaint and reminiscent of times past.
The fact that the main character is reading a physical porno magazine in your pic proves how dated the movie has become. Today's teens wouldn't be able to relate to the movie at all. It belongs to our generation. On a related note, what would millennial consider the defining teen movie of their generation?

>Millennials Don't you mean Gen Z?

I graduated HS in 2007, so I'd say Superbad. The "classic" teen genre was already a point of parody by then; look at all the "Not Another Teen Movie" movies.
Carson Cooper
millennials dont have have an teenkino because studios realized they arnt a profitable market anymore as teens now just watch shit online and studios dont know how to really represent them. but millennials do love teenkino of past decades especially Hughes movies
Evan Martin
I agree. Superbad was probably the last successful teen movie and that was almost 10 years ago. Hollywood prefers to keep churning out generic superhero movies with broader appeal as that seems to be the only thing making money these days.
Juan Murphy
everyone had the american pie DVD just because it was jack-offable.
Sebastian Miller
Tara Reid was so cute and innocent back in her American Pie debut. What the heck happened.
Ian Hughes
Copious amounts of cocaine.

>high schoolers nowadays are wearing g-strings That was more of a 2000s thing, 1998fag.
Jason Perez
Watching this movie is pointless now since Not Another Teen Movie exists.
Liam Edwards
Another thing that struck me on rewatching the movie after all these years is how white the cast was. These day (((Hollywood))) would be sure to put a few more blacks and hispanics in leading roles, maybe an interracial couple to try to normalize it. It's crazy how much America has changed since then.
Bentley Smith
I miss college and high school coming of age/frat style movies. You don't know what you have until you lose it
Jackson Thomas
I swear to god no one on this manchild board understands aging.
She's 40, that's what happens to women after 35, especially if they drink or do drugs. I'm just surprised she also didn't get fat
>For his supporting role in the first film, Scott was paid only $8,000.
JUST
Asher Hill
And then he became a household name right after and was in pretty much every early 2000 young adult comedy movie after. Worth it dude.
Tyler Bennett
when I was young this was fun now it's kinda fun but gives me the heavy feels
Samuel Evans
I hated that guy who always had the dumb smile on and had 0 character otherwise look at that smug cunt
>paid presumably scale for his first major film role >"just"

There was actually a decent amount of natural diversity, looking back on it. The cheerleader movie with Kirsten Dunst had the rival squad as black and they were developed as characters, and the love interest in Crazy Sexy Beautiful (also Kirsten Dunst) was Hispanic and was a pretty good character. There were definitely some other ones too, along with a bunch of "token black friends". I don't remember Asians being particularly well-represented, though.
Colton Hughes
film made me feel atrocious for leaving highschool a virgin
Eli Bell
Not a movie but The Inbetweeners is a pretty good contemporary depiction of teen life, at least for british people.
Chase Murphy
The message in the movie is when you're in high school you think everyone is having sex except you but it's not true. Hence the storyline of the Sherminator bragging about how he got laid first but he was exposed as a liar at prom.
